This property is beautiful! The house is well kept and super roomy. The beds were comfy. The kitchen was well equipped.
It's a perfect location for cycling the Michelson Trail and visiting Custer State Park.
We hated to leave!

The house has everything we needed for our family. We cooked every day and the kitchen had all the equipment we needed. Also used the Blackstone on the deck. We loved seeing and hearing the train. Would stay there again for sure.

Excellent cabin, perfectly located in the heart of the Black Hills and near downtown Hill City. Great sunroom looking at nature.

This property worked well for our first visit to South Dakota and all of its attractions. The location was convenient to reach the national parks, Custer state park, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and the 1880's train which is right next door. The property is spacious and the owner was helpful in providing chairs to take to the buffalo roundup so that we did not have to pack and bring them. We appreciated the proximity to Main Street Hill City.

Fabulous location to everything. Condition of the property was run down, poor linens, bedding & cobwebs galore. Very well outfitted for a wonderful stay if it was cleaned. Door frames coated with dirt & webs & door screens all poorly functioning. Location is the trump card!

Very nice place in a quite area to relax. We spent time on the front porch watching the deer , and train come and go. We spent time in the back sunroom playing games as a family. The house has plenty of space for everyone. The home is centerly located to travel in any direction to various daily outings.

Wonderful house and fantastic location with a picture perfect view overlooking the 1880 train. Plenty of room for kids. Hill city is also welcoming with a good variety of shops and dining choices.

We had excellent communication with the property manager before and during our stay. They took care of issues as they could and communicated with us when workers would come to make repairs, only allowing them in with our permission. There were plenty of places to sleep, plenty of space with the added sun room, and plenty to do. We saw deer on the property, and could watch the 1880 train (which we HIGHLY suggest) daily from the porch. The griddle style grill outside was all we needed for pancakes, burgers, eggs, and sausage. There are stores and restaurants within walking distance, and the Mickelson trail is just down the hill across the highway. We would stay here if we ever vacation in Hill City again.

Location for us was excellent. We were close to downtown for restaurants, groceries, and fun shops.
Miscommunication on our booking so suggest double checking on your reservation.
Many light bulbs were burned out throughout the house and the microwave was filthy. Everything else was very clean.

Black Hills vacation
Kitchen well stock. We loved the picnic table in front to watch the trains. The grill was great, we ate supper every night using the grill. The girls loved watching the deer. Enough towels.
We did not turn on any TVs in the evening with too much to do in the area the girls were tired. Thank you Linda for sharing your home

Great House and Location to See Black Hills
The house was in a great location - it is less than an hour from Custer, Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Spearfish Canyon, Deadwood, Wineries, etc,. Within walking distance of main area of Hill City, but far enough away to be quiet. The house was very nice and better than the pictures portray. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, and many supplies were provided. We spent much of our time on the front porch and front picnic table overlooking downtown, the train station, and the many deer that happen by. We would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous location and great property!!
What a great property! Great kitchen, modern appliances and amenities, comfy furniture, cable and wi-fi, loved the tub upstairs and the sun room was practically like being outside...lots of deer to see! It was so special hearing the 1808 steam train whistle blow every morning!! Perfect centralized location to see Mt Rushmore, Devils Tower, Moccasin Mineral Hot Springs,, Mammoth Museum and be sure not to miss the World Fossil Finder in Hot Springs!! Cascade Falls and Cold Brook Reservoir to swim...such fresh and clear mountain spring water!! Linda was quick to respond with questions. Will be back and we wouldn't stay anywhere else!!

Great house in a nice little town!
Property looks even nicer in person than in photos. Our family loved the size and feel. We only had 6 people stay but the house was big enough for at least double that.

1880 train. Kids loved it being above the 1880 train yard.
Rental process was super easy. Payment was easy. Parking was a little bit of a challenge for 4 vehicles. We made it work. All in all it was a great stay.

Great for families!
The property was very spacious and had everything we needed. Location was perfect for everything we were going to do. The AC worked great downstairs but had a hard time cooling the upstairs so we opened the windows once the temperature dropped. My whole family enjoyed staying at this property.

Great location
Absolutely great location and pretty much 20-30 to just about anything you want to see. Hill City isn’t too crowded and we truly enjoyed the 1880 train and the winery.

Vacation stay
This property is excellent for a group of individuals, couples or a family or two. Our group was 5 adults (mom & dad, daughter, another daughter & husband and their two sons (ages 1.5 and 3). It is on a residential street, so traffic is light, yet it is within easy walking distance to downtown Hill City and the 1880 train, and because it is centrally located in the Black Hills area, it is with 30-45 minutes of most all points of interest. The residence itself was very spacious, modern and clean, and the two toddlers could get noisy without worrying about motel/ hotel room neighbors (and the adults too!!) We will definitely return in the future.

Another wonderful visit!
This is a really fun and spacious home in a perfect location. We had excellent communication with the property manager and she went above and beyond our expectations to make sure our stay was exactly what we were looking for. The house is well-equipped and comfortable.
There are a variety of sleeping options which allowed us to easily accommodate guests, and the combination of interior and exterior space made us all feel spoiled.
We will definitely return to this property!

Couldn't ask for more.
Everything was perfect. Plenty of room for everyone. We had three adults and four kids (two other adults cancelled on us), but we had more than enough space. Close to everything you want to see in the area. Our three year old got to see the trains (her favorite) from the front porch. Very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. Very relaxing. Watch for the deer in the yard. Hope to go back soon.

Beautiful house, great location
Minor things but when paying top dollar things should be addressed by the manager instead of saying “yeah we’re aware of that, we just never got around to fixing it.” One bedroom ceiling fan didn’t work at all the other bedroom ceiling fan was not secure in the ceiling and when we tried using it we were afraid it was going to come out of the ceiling. Multiple burnt out lights through the house, dryer full of sheets, and dishwasher full of dishes. Grass also hasn’t been cut in over a month, it was knee high. Upstairs bathroom room outlet did not work, AC did not get upstairs and the managers answer to that was to open the window, but the screen had holes in it and misquotes were getting in the room.Upstairs TV did not work very well either. When we called management she was short and seemed irritated that we called. She should have address some of these things.
