House was absolute perfection and communication with the host was fantastic. My kids loved getting to play on the beach all day and search for new treasures. The home itself really lends itself to host a large group and the kitchen area is the perfect prep area to create lovely meals.

This is probably our fifth stay at the Nest and it never disappoints. This year we decided to celebrate the Christmas holiday on Orcas Island and had a wonderful stay. The house is fantastic and will not disappoint. Great for family and friends. Lots of books. Lots of games. Beautiful views. Easy access to shopping in Eastsound. Very well stocked kitchen if you're interested in entertaining. Thanks to Anika for another great stay!

The facility was spacious and accommodating with several cool spaces for the kids to do their thing. Great views plus convenient location in the middle of all the Orcas activities. Was the perfect size for our group of 10 this holiday weekend. Definitely recommended.

Stayed with family for grandma’s birthday. I couldn’t find anything to complain about here if I tried. Excellent book selection and the ping pong table was a hit. I’d book this place again in a heartbeat.

Booked a whale watch trip, and saw Orcas. Awoke one morning, looked out the living room windows, and saw Orcas. The house is roomy, well laid out, and easily meets the needs of a multi-generational family of 9.

This property has everything for everyone! We personally had individuals ranging in age from 9-months to 60 years old. The property was incredibly well equipped to handle little kids, but in no way is it limited to that. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the view, and exploring tide pools when able.

We had a great week with family at this house! The setting is amazing with most rooms having a view of the water. The interior of the house is very warm and light. There are tons of games and books and other extras to help entertain the kids. All the beds were very comfortable. We all enjoyed waking up to amazing views every morning, seeing the seals jump from the house, amazing sunsets and sunrises, and good meals cooked in the kitchen and from the grill. The kids lived for the low tides to go comb the rocks for treasured shells, look for crabs and see tiny fish in the water. We brought our kayaks and we’re able to launch from the house beach at low tide. We would recommend this house without hesitation!

We had a wonderful time at this VRBO vacation home! The house is ideally situated close to town and on the water. The views are stunning! The furniture was all very comfortable and the house is well equipped for families. My grandchildren had a wonderful time doing puzzles, playing with the train set, and running around the yard. I would highly recommend this home. It’s everything it’s advertised as and more.

Great visit and wished I'd spent more time on the deck and front yard & leas running around the island with my wife's friends. Lol. Grew up watching those stellar sunsets and was happy to spend the week enjoying them.

Our recent stay was just as wonderful as our previous ones but this time with extended family. The kitchen was outfitted with just the right amenities - stainless steel cookware and glass storage containers to name a few - and the new stove worked beautifully! We loved walking to and from town, shopping for pastries, pottery, and gazing out onto the water from almost any window in the house. Communication with the manager was excellent as always. Everything about this house was perfect for a family. The location is unbeatable, breathtaking views, incredible sunsets, and private beach access. The house was the most well stocked kitchen and house we have ever seen, toys and books to keep kids entertained and everything to cook full meals in the kitchen. The photos do not do the property justice, we will certainly rent again!

This home was perfect for our family. The house was spacious, had a lot of kids items, and easy access to town. We walked down to the beach everyday. The views from the home are beautiful. We would 100% stay here again.

The house was set up perfect for our group with lots of sleeping areas and extra things around the house to use. Waking up to the ocean view and watching the sunset nightly was amazing.

This property was tasteful, clean, comfortable and above and beyond. We watched the sea and seals and otters for hours from the deck, we had fabulous hikes and walks to town. It was peaceful and the neighbors were gracious and friendly too. We paddle boarded in the cove, and loved this house. We have been traveling to Orcas for 40 years, and this was among the best stays ever.

quiet location with beautiful views. Comfortable beds and furniture, well stocked kitchen and pantry. I had forgot my binoculars and was glad to see a nice pair was provided. Only issue was the lockbox for the house key. I found it difficult to open and close.

There were 10 of us who stayed at the Nest by the Sea, and we were all very comfortable in this beautiful, well appointed home. There were a lot of games and books for all ages, the kitchen was thoughtfully laid out (nothing was lacking!), and the VIEW! Incredible. Everyone agreed that this was a top notch vacation home. Check in/check out was easy. The proximity to town was really convenient. The home was warm and sweet. We hope to be back! Thank you, Anika, for creating such a welcoming space.

We had a great stay with extended family! Our kids are 4 & 7 and they loved the ping pong table, all the amazing toys and books, and especially the stocked kids coloring table! I was impressed with all the amenities for smaller kids too. I've never seen a changing pad with cover provided at a house! The kitchen was fully stocked. The only thing missing was olive oil. There was also lots of clean towels and extra linens. The main topper, of course, is the view (& direct access down to the water/beach)! We were there in winter but now we all want to go back in the summer so we can sit on the deck and enjoy the view. Communication was good and check in/out was simple.

This place is amazing! You cannot beat the view! If you’re group is large a 3rd bathroom would be handy. But that would not keep us from staying again. It’s comfy. It’s beautiful. It’s clean. We are all so thankful we had the opportunity to stay here.

Outstanding

This was our fourth stay at the nest but our first in a blizzard! We had almost a foot of snow and stayed entirely cozy while the wind howled outside. Don't change a thing. We'll be back!

This house was absolutely perfect in every way. Fantastic location very close to Eastsound. Whoever designed this house was a genius. Everything is so well thought out and the hosts provide everything that you could ever need. The view is outstanding and we enjoyed watching all the wildlife. We saw mink, seals, deer, otter and more species of waterfowl than I could count. We loved sitting by the wood stove and taking in the view. My wife and I had the best time ever at this house and we loved Orcas. We hiked Turtleback and many of the trails in both state parks on the island, had wonderful dinners at the Mansion Restaurant, and loved shopping at the stores in town. We were so sad to leave. Thanks for sharing your beautiful house.

It is rare getting the whole family together in one place with everyone's busy lives. We were able to do this at "the nest" and had a wonderful time. Everything we needed was available. Our experience will create lasting, lifetime memories. Thank you!

My husband, toddler and I stayed here for a long weekend (3 nights) in September. Just wow. Totally the type of place you wish you’d booked for longer! Amazing location on the water with lots of great tide pools to explore (at low tide). Our 3 year old adored chasing crabs for hours. The house itself is incredible… enormous with fabulous views in all but the kids’ room. Everyone was super comfortable and we felt we could have fit the cousins in, too! LOTS of fun stuff for our toddler… literal drawers of Lincoln logs and train tracks, a little hidden room off his closet with puppets (so friggin adorable). And one of my favorite things was the unreal collections of DVDs, kids books, tween books, adult books, and every puzzle and board game known to man. Just a dream rental for any group. I’d be hard pressed to come up with anything negative. We’ll be back for sure!! Thanks for having us.

Our first trip to Orcas Island did not disappoint. "Eastsound" is an incredible place and this property is the perfect place to stay if you enjoy sunrises and sunsets, an incredible house with a deck to enjoy the views of Sucia Island and Canada. Did I mention whales. Yes, we spotted them in the President's Channel from the deck of this home. The kitchen is well equipped to accommodate 7 high school girlfriends who graduated 45 years ago, as well as any family. It is a quick 1.5 mile walk to Eastsound where shopping, eating and drinking are close at hand. The Brewery is a quick drive. It is centrally located (in our mind) and an easy drive to Moran State Park, where there are beautiful hikes and views. 20 -25 minute drive to the ferry. The Beach is full of wonderful rocks and we found very cool sea glass. It is a peaceful place, the bedrooms are wonderful and the living area is great for gathering at night. We cannot recommend this place enough. Anika was responsive to questions and requests. The perfect host. When you pull up to this place, you will know you made the right decision.

Fantastic get together for eight long time friends from Montana. The great room was the perfect place for our gatherings.
