This was the perfect property for our family vacation. It was clean and very well furnished. It was so nice to have all the beach supplies. The beach two blocks away is more for surfers. You’ll still want to drive to the pier at Pacific Beach. Quiet neighborhood. I highly recommend!!!

Perfect for two families with kids! 10 minute walk to the beach, local grocery 7 minute walk (Gelson’s Market), numerous walkable restaurants, very nice cooking supplies and kitchen, great beach supplies, coin laundry in garage, plenty of towels, they thought of everything! We would stay again!

Overall I’d suggest you don’t stay at this property. It’s a shame because the house is nice (although no soundproofing from the house next door) and close to the beach. However the owner was really rude in his communication with me and charged me a fortune for a towel rail apparently ‘breaking’ while we were staying. I put all the towels away myself at the end of the stay and none of the rails were broken and none of us (all adults with no reason to lie) were aware of a broken rail during our stay. It’s very clear that he’s pinned a ‘breakage’ on us to get some extra money (nearly a hundred dollars for a broken rail!!!) that he entirely cannot substantiate. I’ve never come across anything like it with any other stay I’ve had and frankly the stress and rudeness of his communications weren’t worth the stay.

This property's space and quiet neighborhood location worked out very well for our family group. With open living and generous bedroom spaces as well as two baths, we were all very comfortable. The beach and business districts are within easy walking distance. Richard, the host, was very responsive making communication easy. Definitely recommend!

We had the best time here. Great place for family, much bigger than we expected in a quiet and nice neighborhood. Walk to the beach is a little bit further than we thought but still walkable! Amazing restaurant near by called Leilani’s place that was a great find! House was well stocked and clean thank you for sharing with us!

The place is just as described except, the patio upstairs is shared, the patio space is shared and both are super close to each other. We could hear the people outside the primary bedroom since the bedroom window is actually on their side. The people staying next to us were early risers and made no effort to talk quietly even when they were packing up at 6:45. The walls between units are paper thin.
We had a nice time and loved walking to coffee, breakfast and the beach.

Had a great stay. Clean unit with newer/modern updates. Walking distance to multiple restaurant options and grocery. Less than 10 min walk to surfers beach (note-last 100 yards or so is paved sidewalk but kind of steep). Rental is part of a townhome style location so it’s great for a multi-family stay if renting both units. We would stay there again!

This property is in a great location if you don't mind a short walk to the beach. The duplex had everything you need for a relaxing day at the beach. This duplex does not face the street. It is behind a house that is actually on the street. It didn't bother us as we were there for 2 nights and no one was using the other side of the duplex. We really enjoyed our stay. The duplex had everything we needed and is updated nicely. I'd rent again!

The property was clean and spacious. The night life is close enough to enjoy and still distant enough to enjoy peacefulness. There was transportation that was readily available (lyft/Uber). Everything was available in the home that you could possibly need! Great place!

We had an amazing stay at this property. For future visitors just show up! He has equipped this property with everything you need right down to ziplock bags. The property is so comfortable we felt right at home.
Short walk to the beach, restaurants, a bakery and a couple of coffee shops. The parking in back is tight but we were sharing with someone with a large SUV. Plenty of street parking. Had a pleasant chat with the staff that works on the property….so nice! I am already looking forward to our next stay.

We stayed 2 blocks from Tourmaline surf park, a funky surfing beach. Walked it everyday. Plenty of restaurants to walk to. Joined a gym I could walk to and my husband biked go pickle ball. Some friends visited and it was great. Good kitchen for group meals. If we needed anything it was taken care of right away. Such a great location.

Family vacation
Location was great. Very close to the beach and restaurants. Definitely within easy walking distance to most things.
I did feel the listing was missing some key details that would have been nice to know ahead of time. There is no master bathroom. Only one bathroom upstairs for all 3 bedrooms. We are a blended family and sharing a bathroom with 4 teenagers was less than ideal. There is a full bathroom downstairs but we wished for a private master bathroom.
80% of the outdoor space is shared space with 3 other units. It was always busy out there between the other neighbors or the cleaning crews doing laundry and cleaning the other units. There was also not enough seating for all 6 of us. The one small private balcony was right next to the neighbors balcony and you could see right into their bedroom when they had their door open.
The parking was no big deal and our Pilot fit easily even with the neighbors suburban parked in the next spot.
The condo was clean and well equipped. The bikes were fun. The master bed was noisy like previous renters mentioned. Definitely time to replace it.
The owner was quick to respond to a question I had and if anything has gone wrong I have no doubt it would have been quickly handled.

This Home Is and Has Everything
I am so glad we chose to stay here. The home was a quick walk to everything that PB has to offer. (Grocery store, beach, bars, food, etc). The home comes with beach towels and plenty of house towels for 8 people. Great kitchen space and the home has a great gathering space down stairs. Would love to stay here again!

Clean and good location
My husband and I stayed a week with our 2 yr old and really enjoyed the location and the beach equipment. The ONLY issue was the king bed. We are light sleepers and any movements made a horrible squeaking sound.

Spacious and well furnished. The cleaning crew needs to pay more attention to oven, cook top and hood. Parking is tight but ok for moderate size vehicles. The walk to the beach is significant.

Nice place and location for a family trip
This was a perfect spot for our family vacation. It was clean and had everything we needed for our week stay. Easy walk to the beach and to restaurants. It should be noted in the listing that the laundry isn’t free, you have to use quarters. (Which is hard to find due to a coin shortage) When I booked this trip back in November no one had left a review about that info and I probably wouldn’t have booked this place because I like to pack lite and wash dirty beach towels every night. The king size bed frame is unbearably noisy and should be fixed and/or replaced. Aside from those complaints it was overall a great week and the owners were great with communication.

Just a short walk to a great beach with tide pools. Patio is a shared space but it was fun to chat and meet with the other vacationers. Laundry on site- but don’t forget your quarters!

Property managers were great communicators throughout our planning and stay. Comfortable beds, functional kitchen, and quiet location for a work retreat. But walkable to groceries, coffee, restaurants, and best of all the beach.

Christmas in San Diego
Our party of 7 stayed here over the Christmas holiday. We had ample space and the unit met our needs and expectations. It's very close and within walking distance to the beach, grocery store and many dining establishments. The area is safe and we didn't hesitate to walk around PB at night. This unit does not stand alone as there appeared to be about 4 rentals on the property and it was a little tricky finding our unit upon arrival in the dark. Thankfully another tenant arrived at the same time and was able to show us the way to our unit. Don't let that deter you though - the place is spotless and in a great location. We used Uber and Lyft when we needed to get to Little Italy, Old Town, La Mesa, etc. and the services were efficient and reasonable.
My only suggestions would be more towels and wash cloths - we had 7 people and could have used more. And the air mattress in the living room replaced a futon. It worked, but I think a futon would be more comfortable. We did meet the owner one day...very pleasant and welcoming. Prior to our stay he was very prompt in answering our questions, etc. Good communication.
Overall, I would recommend this property. It's clean and in a great location!
