The building and staff are very nice. The location of the room is great. The room was clean, and could use a little updating. The bed was horrible, I woke up after the first night in so much pain. My husband discovered that the support for the middle of the bed was laying over on the floor. He propped it up underneath, but it needs to be secured so it doesn't fall over again. The mattress was better, but it could definitely use a mattress upgrade. I wouldn't call it a super host. In my books, a super host has everything you could possibly need on location and maybe even a little welcome gift basket to get you started in case you are coming from far away and don't get in or are too tired to go to the store the first night. Things like coffee and water would be nice as well as robes. Also the hours for the pool deck opening stink, I would have liked sitting in the hot tub earlier in the morning or sitting somewhere with a nice view watching the sun rise. It is kind of blocked by bars sitting on the balcony.

This place was close to everything we needed and had great amenities. We were here during late April so really appreciated the heated pool and got tub. Loved being on the same floor as all the amenities but also had less privacy because of it. This is obviously a very residential condo complex and there are many rules as a result. Additionally the pool is not accessible until 10:00am by visitors. Overall a great place if you don't plan on being too noisy or needing access to the common areas outside of certain hours.

It was such an easy check-in, the staff was friendly, the place was in a great location. The property was beautiful and my kiddos loved the amenities. They had a heated po so it was perfect for the cool February day. We will definitely come back.

It was the first time to Galveston for both of us. We absolutely fell in love with the beach community and especially the property we stayed at. Everything was exactly as it was portrayed in the marketing materials. We love the location, the room, the patio, the common area, the pool, etc. They will definitely be back add, thank you for such a great stay.

The condo was fine. However, the check in procedure was an absolute joke. Although the documentation says you can not check into the room until 4pm, there is nothing that says you CAN NOT use any of the facilities until 4 pm. Therefore, if you arrive at 10 am, not only can you not use the pool, hot tub or any of the other facilities, they won’t even let you leave your luggage anywhere. Imagine that, no place to store a few pieces of luggage while you go get a bite to eat. You have to drag them through Galveston in the 100 degree heat. Then check out time is 10 am. If you try to speak with one of the service reps at Vacasa, they regurgitate something they are told to say no matter what the situation. They apologize for the inconvenience, but offer no solution whatsoever. If I could have given less than 1 star I would have, more like negative 10,000. Find another place to stay or get there after 4 pm. But, remember, you are paying for that day and getting almost nothing for it.

This place is great, staff are super friendly and accommodating. We came down as a family of 4 and wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else. Beautiful room, perfect access to the pool and anything else needed amenity wise.. would 100% stay here every time if we could.

The condo was just as the photos portrayed. Nice grounds and very friendly people. The only negatives were that the bed needs a new mattress and the Keurig leaks.

Great location in relation to the things we wanted to do and easy access to the beach. The unit itself was very nice. The kitchen was missing pans to cook with, but we bought a pan to bring back home.
The wristbands were a pain and you felt like a kid being by reprimanded by a teacher for asking for one that was cutting your circulation off and being told you had to never take it off when the paper work stated it was only needed in common areas.
Next, out 6th floor patio would have been great to drink coffee in the mornings since you aren’t allowed outside of it prior to 10am. We couldn’t use the patio for the first few days due to weather sealing. We understand maintenance, but we couldn’t use it.
The residents were very friendly and gave their own recommendations for local places. All in all, the place was great. The rules for using the pool or even sitting at the pool area before 10am in the morning were a bit late and restrictive.

I love the Emerald by the Sea, such a great spot to stay with amazing amenities. I will say, as far as the room goes, it was meh. We weren’t provided with any wifi password/information, our shower had hair from the previous tenants, and the hand soap and dish soap at the kitchen sink were so watered down you can’t use it. We pay a lot for the stay, why can’t you purchase some hand soap?

It was a very nice property, and being next to the pool and hot tub was an extra bonus! Also, it's proximity to Stewart Beach made the ocean easily accessible. The one thing which I would suggest to enhance the experience would be to somehow add a washer/dryer to the property.

Wonderful condo, just as represented! The entire complex is beautiful. We especially loved this unit on the 6th floor with three pools just outside our patio. No crowds, noise. Great, helpful staff and excellent location on the seawall. Will stay again. Highly recommend.

Perfect location
This beautiful studio was spacious and lovely. It had beautiful views and great amenities. We enjoyed being close to restaurants, the strand, the beach while not being right in the middle of the tourist area.

Simple and relaxing
The property is just as described in the photos. The biggest plus for us was location of the unit—just steps from the pool and hot tub. We didn’t really like having to wear the wristbands, but that was probably the only disadvantage. We understand there are compromises when staying in a unit with a very active HOA. We met several residents and they were very kind and friendly. We cooked all of our meals in the condo… My only wish was for some type of Tupperware or storage containers. We ended up going to the dollar store to buy some plastic bags, and plastic dishes for storage and a dish scrubber, as we felt that was lacking. We use the barbecue grills and enjoyed having that as an option. There was an issue with the cable while we were there, but the property management was very attentive and address the concern by working with the local cable company. And I the location of the condo was great, the island isn’t too big and we were able to drive wherever we wanted. At first I thought the condo would be too small just being a studio, but it really did work wonderfully for us. And the shower is amazing! We definitely want to stay here again!

Beautiful condo, perfect location
GREAT pool area accessible directly from back patio, no having to go in hallways and elevators - 6th floor was best location in complex! Has a really large hot tub, huge heated pool, regular sized cold pool, plenty of lounge chairs, view of beach, and a few grill/lounge areas. No pool bar but can BYOB. Friendly and helpful staff, quick response from Vacasa when we had questions, pretty and clean room, nice kitchen. Convenient location - at intersection of the 2 main roads in Galveston, so could easily hop on Broadway for the 7 min drive to the Strand or hop on Seawall Blvd to drive to any of the beaches (closest is a 2 min drive). Or could drive 3 min to ferry to get to Crystal beach.
