A great space for our family of 6. Loved the quirks and beauty of the home. Grateful for the space to park in the garage, well equipped kitchen (for our needs), dining space, seating for all of us in the living room, and it was exceptionally clean. We walked EVERYWHERE! Great restaurants and historical sites nearby and close to the river. We are a family of walkers, so this was perfect. The only down side - the bath in the room with the king bed has NO storage (other than the edge around the tub and an 18” shelf) and minimal convenient storage in the bedroom. It was our room, and we made do. Despite this, we would stay again.

Great house for an unforgettable weekend!
We had a girls trip with 8 of us. Everyone flew in and one drove, she was able to park in the garage. We didn’t need to use the car once though, we could walk or take a quick Uber anywhere we needed to go.
The house was beautiful, comfy beds, great AC glow and be try nice bathroom setup for 8 women. We had a blast. Our only challenge was the key lockbox at the front door. A few girls had trouble closing it but I think that was more user error. Otherwise, zero complaints! Amazing house and amazing trip!!

Historic home in Washington Sq Savannah
Home is exactly as pictured; historic charm with antique furniture. The dining chairs were very delicate so sit with caution. The beds are beautiful and very comfortable!!
The bathrooms are luxurious! The home accommodated 8 adult women and gave us a special sense of the South. Location landed us in all our desired landmarks within 10-15 mins! The furthest walking distance was 30 mins to Forsyth Park. There was several homes in the neighborhood under construction but it did not interfere with our fabulous time!

The pictures don't do this place justice! It was clean and modern with updated appliances and bathrooms, but kept the classic and historic feel throughout all the decorations/furnishings. It's location is great, walking distance to everything downtown without being in the busy & congested areas. Would definitely come back again!

We had a great stay at the Washington Main House. It was in a great location and within walking distance to restaurants and the river. The beds are very comfy and the bathrooms are beautiful. The kitchen is very well stocked with all the cookware and dishes you could need. The only negatives were that we would have appreciated extra towels (only 1 towel per guest) especially since we were there five nights, and the living room and sunroom furniture are old and not comfortable. If these things aren't important to you, then it's a great place to stay!

Our friendships go back 40 years and this was the perfect place to spend time together. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a large space with an outdoor area as well. Beautiful property that Steps Back in Time!
Excellent property that was beautifully and historically renovated. Walking distance to the historical downtown, several squares, and also easy walk to the river front. Lots of restaurants in the area. We parked the car and walked to everything! Beds and baths were Wonderful. Kitchen was ready to use. Shared back patio with the Carriage House rental unit was a little strange, but did not cause too much concern. Excellent place to stay!

Ellie, the head of guest services, verbatim said in an email she sent me, “we wish that you never stayed with us”. As not only a guest but a professional in the hospitality and services industry, I am APPALLED and disturbed to have paid as much as I did to have such condescending, patronizing behavior from the head of guest services herself. If you can find ANYWHERE else to stay, do it. The entire weekend was such a headache, I received six calls from Ellie in the matter of 10 minutes, she was extremely rude both on the phone and in person, and threatened to charge my card on file for “wasting the housekeepers time” though she started cleaning at the time of checkout. I used to live in Savannah, I am extremely accustomed to southern living, hospitality, the whole nine yards. We had an amazing time, the house was beautiful but this experience with the service completely tarnished our trip and the reputation of “luxury southern living”. Y’all, no property is worth the experience I went through with these owners.

Birthday Visit to Savannah
This property was better than the listing pictures portrayed and we enjoyed our stay. The decor was historic yet the kitchen and baths were modern and updated. The master bath is especially nice and large.
We traveled with a group of 10 and there was plenty of room for everyone. The beds were comfortable and the linens were luxurious and comfortable as well. There is a nice sunroom and a courtyard for everyone to enjoy.
The location was great and we walked to everything except the grocery store which is not very far away either.
The property manager is responsive and everything that was described to us for check in and check out was accurate. We plan to return to Savannah again to visit and will definitely look into the property if we are with a large group.

Location of the house is awesome - you can walk to River St. The house was clean. If you have more than one car you need to pay for street parking (big hassle if you have more than 1 car). The bathroom had 1 face and 1 bath soap - a huge problem if you have many people in the house. They should put soap/shampoo in each bath stall. They should put a hair dryer in each bathroom (only one hair dryer was not of good quality). Kitchen needs basic supplies - oil, sugar etc. They had one coffee for one day and we were 7 people for 3 days. We needed 7 beds - 2 beds are in living room and they were a little small. Checkout is at 10PM and we got it extended to 11 (which was still a bit inconvenient but I can understand)

The home is absolutely beautiful, and is a fantastic retreat for the whole family. The decorations, the finishes, and the little touches all add up to make a great space all the more inviting. The pictures on the listing are really good, but they simply pale in comparison to the beauty that is in this home! Every room is wonderfully appointed. The host provided information about things to do, and how to handle parking (1 space is included; there's street parking and a parking garage 2 blocks away that only charges $10 a day for additional cars). We immediately felt comfortable in the home and got to spend some much needed quality time with friends and family here.

The house is lovely - beautifully appointed and really conveys the feeling of Savannah. The location is perfect --- we walked everywhere downtown. It was extremely convenient. I would add a couple of random thoughts. These weren't problems for us but could cause potential issues for someone else: 1. It was difficult to park a large vehicle in the garage. 2. Three of the bedrooms are on the second floor and the one on the first only has a bathtub (a gorgeous claw foot tub!). If you have someone who is mobility limited, the tub will be there only option. 3. If you plan on spending a lot of time during the day in the lovely patio in the back of the house, know there is a race track fairly close and you can hear the vehicles.

This was our second time booking the Washington Square Main house. 4 couples each time and plenty of room for everyone! The house is equipped with everything you need. The management staff was easy to work with, responded to questions quickly and very informative and helpful. This house could easily hold additional people. The shared courtyard is beautiful but you are sharing it with additional guests of the carriage house is booked. We've stayed several times in Savannah and this location really is less than 15 minutes to all the main areas in historic Savannah (River Street, City Market, Shopping on Broughton, Forsyth Park). We plan to return to this great location!

The house was extremely clean and absolutely beautiful inside! It was even better than advertised. Unfortunately the rental company was not very friendly to rent from which is why I would not give this place 5 stars. They charge an exorbitant $50/hour if you wish to check in early, which we wanted to do but opted not to because it was so expensive. They also requested a damage waiver that had some astounding language ($100 if a piece of furniture is moved and not returned to its original price). I've done a number of VRBO and AirBNB and have never had to sign anything like this.
