This was our 2nd time staying at the Bear Cub Lodge. We just love this place. It has everything we need and the location is idyllic.
The weather was beautiful and we can’t wait to come back next year.

The cabin and property were everything we hoped for and more. We enjoyed many nights under the stars in the hot tub, the cabin was very clean, and Michael was very quick to respond to our questions. Very secluded setting with beautiful views of Pikes Peak. Hope we can return again!

We absolutely had a wonderful time. I could not get my four kids out of the back yard. My three year old cried every time we had to leave the house. The house was perfect for our family and had everything we needed.

Our stay at the Bear Cub Lodge was just what the doctor ordered, quiet, comfortable, and relaxing. The house offered amazing views, even on those days when the clouds covered Pikes Peak. My boys, who love watching You-Tube videos about ping-pong, spent every waking minute either playing or having a video going and trying to copy the latest thing they saw. There was so much to do within a twenty-minute drive of the house that we were not able to fit it all into our visit. We will be coming back to the Bear Cub Lodge!

It was an amazing trip. The house has the most beautiful view of pikes peak. The driveway is a little rough so would recommend a SUV but our mini van did fine. Plus got beautiful pictures of a rainbow!

Loved the view! The great room/kitchen/dining area was nice. The driveway was a little scary to navigate (steep) and there wasn't much room to park a couple of vehicles. A third bathroom would have made the stay a lot better for a three generational family gathering. Nice location with lots of hiking opportunities in Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument and other attractions. Manager was quick to fix a refrigerator problem. Overall clean but dusty decorations.

We enjoyed our stay at Bear Cub Lodge more than we ever could have expected. The fully stocked kitchen helped us prepare and enjoy family meals every night. Our middle school age girls enjoyed the game room and hot tub but their favorite memory was seeing a deer walk all the way up the driveway to the backyard. My husband and I loved the wraparound deck, watching the hummingbirds, and just enjoying nature and the amazing view of Pikes Peak. The cabin's proximity to Pikes Peak, the Royal Gorge and Garden of the Gods was perfect. We had a "day trip" in the mornings, then every afternoon we would come home to relax and enjoy this wonderful cabin.

This was the perfect house to come back to after all the fun activities Colorado Springs has to offer. We loved the views from the patio and the kids loved the hot tub. The house was very clean and kitchen was well stocked. Property manager was quick to reply whenever we had a question. Would definitely stay again!

This house was excellent, and my only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. We had a group of 5 guys stay here for a rafting trip in Cañon City, about an hour away. I’ve stayed in many Vrbos, and we were all talking about how this is the most stocked home in terms of all of the extra little things you could ever need, it was like being at home. We grilled the first night, then spent the rest of the night in the garbage playing darts, bags, foosball, and ping pong. The next day after we got back from rafting we chilled out in the jacuzzi and relaxed and watched the game. If I ever find myself needing a place to stay in the area again I will definitely look this place up. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was our second stay at this property and we had a wonderful time. We wanted a relaxing long weekend away from the city and this was perfect. The home is spacious, well appointed, clean and comfortable. There's great seating on the patio with a beautiful view of Pike's Peak. The kitchen is very well furnished and the outdoor grill is a bonus. We love the wood burning stove in the living room and greatly enjoyed the hot tub on the deck.

My brother and I enjoyed our bro-sis getaway stay at the cabin. The host was responsive to questions we had ahead of time as well as communicative with updates just before our arrival. Extremely comfy mattresses/pillows, loved the heated floors throughout the home and enjoyed the afternoon deer "mascot" visitor. Gorgeous views from the massive living room windows! We enjoyed this property very much! We loved the view, sitting on the deck, and the homey feel of the cabin. The kitchen had all we needed to prepare meals and our kiddos found plenty to do whether it was playing games in the garage or exploring around the property. Would love to come back to this location!

We loved our stay at this cabin! We experienced a significant amount of snowfall prior to our arrival and were unable to make it to the property due to the adverse road conditions. Michael kept us updated and worked to get us in as soon as possible and refunded the cost of the nights we were unable to stay with no questions asked. Highly recommend! Gorgeous view of pikes peak from the living room and deck. Comfortable beds and outstanding hot tub!

The property is exactly as described. Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed the views of Pike’s Peak, the Fox den, the deer sightings, making meals on the Wolf stovetop in the fully stocked gourmet kitchen, the streaming services and game room, laundry facilities and the heated floors are an especially nice touch. The roomy cabin was clean and perfectly decorated. Michael was a great help when deciding if we would be able to return home, as planned, when a blizzard was expected. All wheel drive is a must - especially in the snowy season. If you are looking for the perfect Colorado cabin, you’ve found it here!

Told the owner I was meeting a high school
Boyfriend after 30 years. No response. Driveway was not plowed well. Car got stuck in the snow. Had to call a tow truck. Owner could care less to accommodate or help. All he said was you said you had an all wheel drive. No, all wheel drive could have got up that driveway regardless. Candles had dead batteries. Fireplace was not accessible because the snow covered it. Just a miserable experience due to the time it took to deal with nit having a car waiting on a tow truck and the lack of concern from the owner. We weren’t able to get on the door because the key was emailed with no code. The cabin is nice and clean but not worth the wasted time on dealing with an unkept driveway. Apparently the neighbor looks after the plowing who was out of town.

The house was perfect! The views from every room were gorgeous! The furniture was comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, plenty to do between the hot tub, speaker, televisions, games, and games in the garage. We definitely can't wait to go back!

The property was wonderful, beautifully decorated, nicely furnished, fit our group of 4 perfectly. The woodland setting was beautiful and calming. We saw a fox and a few deer.
We have 3 suggestions for improvement - waste baskets in the bedrooms, mirrors in the bedrooms, and a rubber mat in the master bathroom shower (the floor was quite slippery)

We had a great time. Our kids made snowmen, snow angels and spent time sledding. The ambient heated floor worked great it kept us warm while it was cold outside. The instructions for the property were easy to understand, also the recommendations for the local attractions was an added benefit.

The home is as described and photographed. It’s very well maintained and easy in and easy out. The driveway is very steep and we had a sudden snowstorm that made it impossible to park by the house and nearly impossible to get out of the neighborhood because of a big hill on the way to the main road. We came in October and there was no forecast of snow the day before. So just be prepared for any conditions. If you are, I can’t imagine a more lovely place to be snowed in for a few days. Enjoy!

There are many positives here: a responsive property manager, many outlets for recharging devices, granite counter tops in the kitchen, a Wolf gas stove (wow), double sinks in the master bath (excuse me, according to HGTV it’s now called primary bath), a wonderful shower with good water pressure and plenty of hot water, and a Weber grill on the back porch, etc. Morning coffee on the front deck is very relaxing but the sun is imposing. Bring a hat/cap (I forgot mine). In the morning, the house is quickly warmed by the sun from nighttime lows and retains heat well. Lower the shades to prevent the home from getting too warm. We set the thermostats at 66 and rarely had to touch them.
Over the years, we’ve stayed in many fine mountain homes, and this is one of them. To me, it’s a structural feat builders can create these large, fabulous properties on such remote, sloped lots. I know it’s done all the time, but it is still impressive.

If you want to see mountains in Colorado this is the place to stay. Sipping coffee on the deck looking at snow covered mountains was the relaxation I needed. Star gazing from the hot tub was incredible.

Awesome stay!! Cabin is perfect for a week long Colorado stay with family. We appreciated the gate at the top of the stairs so 18mo old could still walk around freely. Extremely well kept cabin and enjoyed the constant view of Pikes Peak. Heated floors throughout instead of central HVAC was super neat on the cold mornings. Layout of cabin and furnishings make this place really feel like home and was super enjoyable for my family. If you stay you won’t want to leave!! Garden of Gods, Cheyenne Mtn Zoo, Cripple Creek, Castlerock Outlets, Mueller State Park, Woodland Park just a few of our experiences during the stay!

We truly enjoyed our stay in this cabin. Michael was great to work with and very accomodating. We came from the city to get away and absolutely loved the peace and quiet. And it is hard to beat a starry night sky like what you can see there! There are plenty of fun activities nearby, and it is also easy to just spend a day relaxing in the cabin itself.
