This was our second visit to Suzanne’s cottage overlooking the East branch of the Westport River. As before, everything was perfect. Suzanne is a gracious host and has supplied the cottage with all the amenities one could want. We very much enjoyed using the two kayaks she provided and there was dry storage for bicycles under the cottage. We cannot wait to go back.

Suzanne made us feel completely comfortable and ensured we had all we needed for our week in the boat house. Clean, nice linens and towels, super comfy bed, peaceful surroundings with beautiful view of the river, kayaks to explore the Westport River.!! A slice of Heaven, Rest and Relaxation!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was perfect for 2, with a beautiful view of the river from the bedroom and the front deck. Our host was warm and welcoming but not intrusive in any way. We thoroughly enjoyed our week watching the birds and boaters pass by and walking through the lovely neighborhoods.

The "Boat House" was the perfect home base during a much needed get away to recharge our batteries. The stars at night, the quiet setting, and the view of the cove were exceptional. Can't wait to return.

Very clean, perfect size, everything you need. Even the neighbors were welcoming! Thank you Suzanne and we wish all the best to you and your family.

The cottage is a beautiful peaceful gem nestled among mature oaks on the Westport river and Suzanne, the owner and host extraordinaire, is also a gem! During my two week stay I enjoyed exploring the villages, vineyards, local shops and cafes, walking Allen’s Pond and Gooseberry Island, kayaking, enjoyed fresh local seafood al fresco, and of course sunrises and sunsets at the beach. Suzanne, the boat house cottage and Westport were all equally delightful!!

We had a wonderful week on the Westport River in this cozy, charming cottage that has all the amenities, a great outdoor shower, and a lovely deck with an amazing view. Our host, Suzanne, was always available if needed, but gave us all the privacy we wanted. We enjoyed the location, with easy access to local beaches, the Vineyard, and Lee’s Market. We are looking forward to coming back soon.

We were looking for a getaway from the city, and found the perfect spot. In a beautiful location on the water, The Boathouse is tastefully appointed and provided everything we needed and then some. Kayaks at the water's edge, storage for bicycles, and a lovely place to come home to after a day exploring nature and seashores. Great outdoor shower, even in October. We'll be back!

Suzanne’s property was one of the best vacation rental we have ever stayed at. It was well appointed with stunning views of the river I could feel the stress of work melt away. During these unusual times the hospitality from Suzanne coupled with idyllic Westport has helped us cope with a rough year.

Throughout our stay, she was very quick to respond to questions and she had wonderful suggestions about the area. This is a most serene location. We woke to the sounds of birds and water lapping along the shore. Many meals were eaten on the deck overlooking the water. Dinner with moonlight shining across the water was especially memorable. We enjoyed the kayaks and rowed to the nearby islands. Tennis was an added bonus - a quick walk in the neighborhood. All was very comfortable and the home was very tastefully decorated.We cannot recommend this listing high enough. We hope to return!

Loved this vacation spot! Little need to leave the property with kayaks and the river so close, it also enjoyed nearby tennis, farm stands and conservation area walks In the area. A real treat!

We had a wonderful week at the cottage on the river. We bought kayaks and were able to leave them by the river and kayaked whenever we wanted. We loved having coffee in the morning and dinner at night on the deck. The view was just amazing and so peaceful. The house is perfect for two people, and beautifully decorated. We hope to return next year.

If you like the sound of wind in the leaves, small waves against the shore, and birdsong you will love it here. Sunrise from the deck brings spectacular colors to the brightening sky. If you don't get up as early as I do, the same view is available right from bed upstairs. The cottage is gorgeous. It is perfect for one person or a couple. Your host is a delightful individual. And the cottage is so centrally located in southern Westport that it is ideal.

This is a beautiful property with an amazing view and plenty to keep you busy. We kayaked, went to the beach, grilled, and watched movies on a rainy day. It was the perfect vacation.

Suzanne was a great host. She was easy to work with and communicated promptly. Her cottage was in excellent condition and just as advertised. The view of the water from the living room and bedroom was amazing. We woke up to the sun rising over the water. The location was quiet and peaceful. The air and water are clean. We had the use of two kayaks and beached them on an island to swim. The country roads were ideal for cycling. There is a great market, Lees, which rivals any great grocery in a suburban area and a fish market, the Lobster Pound, that offers truly fresh fish. Suzanne has thoughtfully placed a large number of books and DVD movies for use. We wanted for nothing.

Suzanne is a welcoming host and was very available to help with anything. House is well set up. Very clean. Fantastic view of the river. Great location.

We have rented dozens of AirBnB and VRBO’s and this place absolutely tops them all. It’s very small but impeccably laid out and decorated. The view is absolutely stunning. The bed, couch and chairs were of the highest quality and the host couldn’t have been more attentive

Such a cute, clean house that we enjoyed immensely. We enjoyed having our meals sitting on the deck overlooking the water. The location is convenient as it’s close enough to explore Rhode Island (we visited Newport and Tiverton) and Cape Cod (we had a great bike ride on the Cape Cod Rail Trail and delicious seafood in Wellfleet). However, there’s no need to travel far as we also spent wonderful hours using the kayaks provided with the rental, as well on the house’s shoreline. We also had a wonderful time visiting the nearby winery, Gooseberry Beach, and feasting on delicious oysters and lobster rolls in Westport Point. Suzanne was extremely responsive and offered great recommendations for restaurants and places to explore. We look very forward to returning for another relaxing week.

We had the most wonderful stay in this outstanding waterfront cottage in Westport, MA. The grounds are lovely, the views amazing and the hospitality second to none. Suzanne was very accommodating as she was close by if needed while we also had all the privacy we wanted. The sunrise view over the water was great. You don’t even need to get out of bed to see this fantastic view, just lift your head off the pillow and there it is! We highly, highly recommend that you visit this great cottage. We used it as our home base for day trips to Martha’s Vineyard (best cup of clam chowder for the week was at Martha’s Vineyard Chowder Co.), New Bedford (check out the Whaling Museum), Cape Cod (for a very successful Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruise!), Boston, and Newport (check out the Breakers historic home). We didn’t get the opportunity to use the available kayaks (would have loved to have taken the trip over to the islands close by) or the outdoor shower, so I guess we are just going to have to come back!

We had a lovely stay in Westport. The accommodations were just as described. Suzanne went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. We look forward to returning to Westport and the Boathouse next summer.

Beautiful location and adorable cottage.

Not only was the boathouse exactly as pictured but it had EVERYTHING you could possibly need for a wonderful stay! Suzanne is a great host and the setting is just lovely! We felt so relaxed and welcome! We hope to return next year!

Beautiful views. Immaculate boat house

We loved every minute of our vacation on the beautiful Westport River for so many reasons. Suzanne and Bob, the owners of the property, were the most welcoming, happy and accommodating people I have ever met. They could not have done more to make our stay on their beautiful waterfront property magical. This former boathouse has been changed into a very beautiful dollhouse with an upstairs single bedroom with a panoramic view overlooking the Westport River. Everything is new. The hardwood floors throughout the house are a yellow southern pine that is absolutely beautiful. We loved Suzanne's decorations and her great taste in furnishings and decorations. You will love the beautiful and very private outdoor shower after your swim in the river. The deck was a favorite of ours. We barbecued and ate most of our meals on the deck just taking in the view. Our adult children came to visit and we had a great time playing games on the lawn and grilling. We will definitely be back. The entire experience is restful, beautiful and spiritually uplifting.

This was a perfect spot for my husband and I to spend Christmas. The stillness and serenity of this spot are unmatched. Arriving after a 13+ hour flight from Hawaii, Suzanne and Bob had decorated the cottage with holiday lights and wreaths upon our arrival and we couldn't have felt more welcomed. The cottage was warm, cozy and wonderfully peaceful. Every sunrise was spectacular and the wildlife on the river in winter is beautiful. The location was perfect and only a few miles from family. Hope to be back someday. Absolutely 5 star!
