Great views and beach access in a large traditional cottage. Spent most of our time on deck or beach when home. Beach is rocky so surf shoes recommended. Left the windows open most of the time for great ocean breeze but AC units are installed throughout. Property management was easy to work with and very responsive.

Location, location, location. That's what this place is all about. I brought my morning coffee out on the beach, steps from the back door, and I could hear the waves lapping at night. It's all very tranquil. The house is not luxurious, the layout is a little funky, bathrooms are minuscule, but it is very comfortable (especially the beds!).

We really enjoyed this location. The property was very clean. The property manager was really quick to respond and followed through thoroughly.

Large, clean , quiet, well-stocked home. We did not use the large living room as it was distant to the kitchen and deck. The beach and water line are very rocky so water shoes are a must and, of course, we didn't bring any. This should be clearly specified in the description. Overall we had a very nice time and everyone slept well. Window/floor air conditioners worked well. Gooseberry Island down the road was very nice and is a beach alternative.

It was fine. Mosquitoes were the one big problem.

We had a great time at this property on East Beach in Westport, MA. The house, while very rustic, is very clean, great views of the water, AC in every room if needed, and right on the beach. The waves lulled us to sleep every night. We had three at the house which worked well for us. The house is quite roomy - certainly for 3 - and we really didn’t use two of the bedrooms and the living room. We did use the deck and kitchen a lot, of course. Our weather was wonderful. What is not appreciated is the water our front is warmer than the normal ocean water because it is Buzzard’s Bay, and the area - Westport and Dartmouth have great hikes/ bikeways/ waterways. Wonderful area to explore. We had a lot of fun. While some may not like the presence of RV’s nearby on the beach it did not bother us since the house is positioned to view the water, the deck, and the wild grass. Great place to relax, and there are two very good restaurants only 5 minutes away.

We had a splendid time at this beach house. Foir bedrooms allowed for everyone to have their own space. Host was very responsive. We will definitely stay again.

We stayed for a week at this property. It is a perfect beach get a way. My son proposed to his fiancé on the beach and then her parents came to stay with us for 3 more nights, and there was space for all. The bathrooms are tiny, but when one is on the beach do you really need big bathrooms? Over all we would stay again, There are a couple fun restaurants around and grocery story. A very quiet and relaxing stay.

This was our second stay at this amazing property. There is plenty of room to spread out and it is as close to the beach as you can get. We look forward to our next visit!

Can’t beat the location. Literally steps to the beach, with nice walking and biking trails nearby. Four bedrooms, some bigger than others, but all sizeable enough. The unique layout puts none of the bedrooms next to each other. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the family room, which can easily seat a large group, though because the seating faces away from the window (but towards a decent tv) we didn’t spend too much time there. And why would we with such a great deck! Most time was spent in the kitchen and on the deck. The kitchen is rental house standard: functional and gets the job done to cook everything from pancakes to tacos, but you’ll probably be grilling on the gas grill anyways. We had a terrific week spending time together as a family down by the water.

We enjoyed a great week here- just enough to do to keep us entertained and off the beaten track enough to relax and unwind. The house was comfy and spacious. The sound of the waves was just delightful in this beautiful spot. Special sunsets to behold just steps away on the causeway leading out to the causeway. Bring your bikes for lovely rides along country roads. Although we wish we had known to bring water shoes to swim, the water is warm and tide is gentle. Local attractions include the Westport River Winery and the whaling museum in New Bedford. Also some great places for dining like the Back Eddy and for ice cream- Handy Hill Creamery. Enjoy!

We had a great time. Excellent location and great property. Just as advertised.

Nice house in pristine condition, all recently remodeled (and probably will be again with the next hurricane!). Plenty of space, well appointed with plenty of towels and washer dryer (latter very useful because it’s never really dry on the shore). Private sandy beach, though we went to the nearby Horseneck beach state park (13 bucks) because the waves are on that side. If you don’t want waves, the private beach is for you (bit rocky and some seaweed, bring your surf shoes). Water is warm on both beaches. Owner has only 2 beach chairs and a camp chair, those could use some updating or BYO. Nice walks nearby, Goosebury Island, Audabon, walk along top of Horseneck beach (starts a quick walk from the house), old Westport with a cute restaurant on the pier in what used to be a seafood store. You can probably still buy fresh lobster right off the boats there at 3PM. Nearby Bayside restaurant is popular and reliable. Westport lobster seafood store expensive but great. Handy Hill creamery good ice cream and I can only imagine what a large looks like. Lee’s market nice, convenient. Larger chains 25 mins away. Along the shore it was often foggy for us even when sunny 1/4 mile inland. Not sure if that’s particular to this location or not. Overall a lovely Westport holiday in a fine house that lived up to expectations. Owners responsive.

Tina is a great host. Her home was perfect for our group. The location is in a quiet area with beautiful views and access to the beach.

Tina is very quick to respond and answer all questions honestly. We had a lovely, relaxing week- biking, walking , running and swimming. Terrific location for beaches and biking. Great to grill and eat on the deck looking at the ocean. Loved having kayaks to use. Wish the clothes washer/ dryer was hooked up to use.

low key, casual, perfect beach getaway. This cottage is comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxed getaway. Wish we had been able to take a longer vacation.

We had a wonderful time at this property. We were lucky enough to have sunshine each day of our stay there. From coffee on the deck watching the sunrise, morning walks to gooseberry island, and afternoons at horseneck beach. The location is perfect for those whose want to just relax listening to the ocean. The house allows for privacy for guests with bedrooms at different points of the house. The owners provided beach chairs, kayaks, and a well stocked kitchen for meal prep. The property was clean and welcoming. They provided paper products and chlorox wipes for our use. At one point had a question for the owner. Recieved a prompt response and was very welcoming through the whole rental process. If you and your family need to take a break I would highly recommend this home. It was just what our family needed. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

The house is right on the beach with the sounds of the waves all day and night- loved sleeping with the windows open! The house and rooms are much bigger than appears on the internet and decorated very nice. The bedrooms are all located in different areas of the house which adds to privacy. The kitchen was well stocked with disposable plates and forks as well as real plates , cooking spices, condiments and even had frozen popsicles in the freezer that kids loved. There were more than enough bath towels and washcloths and even stocked with beach towels, beach sandals, kayaks, badminton, a football, extra beach chairs, and lots of other useful vacation stuff. This place brings a very relaxing feeling without all the busy bodies and traffic you experience in places like Narragansett or other tourist areas. The surrounding area is perfect for those who like to go for a run or a long walk. You can walk two miles down the bike trail to the end of Horseneck beach and back on the beach which makes for an awesome trek. Goose Island is pretty cool too and right out the front door. The owner Tina is very accommodating and responsive. I would defiantly recommend this house!

The location of this house is amazing. Right on the ocean in a pretty quiet part of Westport. It is a beautiful walk to Horseneck Beach or Gooseberry Island. If I could give the location more than five stars, I would. Also the house, while it has a quirky layout, is really usable space. We were five adults and the bedrooms are all spaced in a way to allow for privacy from each other. And, while the house only has 1.5 baths, the existence of the half bath (and relaxed vacation schedules) makes the bathroom set up quite workable. The only downside to this house is how the kitchen is stocked. The basic appliances are there, but it was not stocked with enough cooking or eating basics. In fact, there were just four coffee cups, three full size plates, and only plastic "Solo" cups for drinking. There were stacks of paper plates which I assume the owners want us to use, but I really don't want to eat off paper plates multiple nights in a row. I do appreciate that the owner may not want breakable plates and glasses in a beach rental, but there is plenty of nice plastic/chinet out there. We ended up going to the store and purchasing nice picnic plates and glasses that we brought home with us. So, bottom line, we would be happy to go back to this house but would pack our own kitchen supplies and enjoy dinner on the beautiful deck. But, if you are someone who mostly eats out anyway, no concerns -- enjoy the unbeatable location.

I rented this home with four of my friends for our annual girls vacation and it did not disappoint! The house was spacious, clean and comfortable. Right on the beach and and the views were spectacular. Tina was very informative and responded quickly! We would absolutely rent this home again!

The Beach House was a perfect place for my family to meet for some catching up. The house itself was immaculate and well decorated. We loved sitting on the beach and the back deck absorbing the gorgeous view while listening to the crashing waves. My entire family would like to make this vacation a yearly thing and we all feel that we would rent this beach home again.
