The apartment was spacious and clean, with a beautiful view and perfect location right next to the Mahane Yehuda market and the shopping street leading to Jaffa gate. The old town is about 25 minutes away by foot. The price is low compared to other similar listings, but it is not low enough to compensate for the noise from construction site right below the bedrooms.

Although the owners had not mentioned about the ongoing construction next to the apartment, I was aware of it thanks to the reviews here. I decided to book anyway because there were very few options left. I am a sound sleeper, there is ongoing construction next my home and it doesn't bother me. What I didn't know is that they are carving through rocks to build the foundations of a building - the noise is terrible and it is impossible to sleep after 7 - 7:30 AM.

The location and view were fantastic.

Great Location Beautiful Views

The blinds in the bedroom fail to seal the room for light which is really annoying at 6 am... We booked the apartment for 5 people but it was set up only for 4 (only 4 chairs in the dining table, only 4 beds made)

This accommodation was very noisy. We are not noise sensitive so it was not a particularly bad for us and this will not be the contributing feature that will keep us from this building. You can hear the market late into the evenings and I expect that might bother some guests.

The overall experience was unpleasant primarily because the halls on the 12th floor smelled of sewage or something equally unpleasant. One of the elevators had a bad odour as well. Elevators and hallways are not cleaned on a daily basis and were grubby at best. The condo itself was roomy, bleak but comfortable. The floor lamps in the living don't work. There is no bedside lighting that allows one to read at night and underneath the bed was a wealth of items from previous visitors. There were no bath mats and towels were put into service outside the shower.
