It's very close to two piers, the bypass, plenty of restaurants and activities, Manteo, etc. The dune to get to the beach appears recently re-built and is very large, so you have to walk to the public access to the right when leaving the pool area. You can also just use the public access as it's an easier walk. However, the house was filthy upon arrival which the management company sent back a crew the next day to re-clean. The Kiddie Pool looks like it's never been cleaned and appears to have a leak - we avoided it like the plague. One of the middle floor's bathroom showers drains through the sub-floor and into the car-port, so there is definitely some bad plumbing and mold going on throughout. Large pool was fine, but was also dirty - likely due to just being oceanfront and the winds blowing in sand and crud. Carpet is tattered and needs replacing, some electrical outlets don't work in various rooms, some rooms are missing privacy blinds on the sliding glass doors, some of the ceiling fans don't function, and overall the house is in need of some repair. Driveway is tiny, vegetation overgrowing parts of the paved driveway, and hard to park all cars for a big family. We found that we loved the location, but did not care for the house and wouldn't rent it again. We've found other homes are equal or less cost than this house with the same amenities, but other homes are much cleaner and overall a higher quality property. Also, our access code for checkout changed at 9:30am, not the agreed upon 10am per contract, so we were lucky we had someone inside when that happened to open the doors for us so we could continue moving out. Property management is responsive via text message, but only the cleanliness was addressed after reporting a poor condition. We felt the house hasn't received proper attention and the pictures are misleading. Stay somewhere else for the cost. 1 star for condition/cleanliness, 4 stars for location.

(i.e. saggy couch throw pillows, extremely tattered door mat at the front entrance, missing decorative tiles in the pool, living room floor damaged) None of these minor items would keep us from renting the home again, and we hope to return in the future!

This house fit the bill in every way - a lovely home and lots of space, a beautiful view and easily accessible. It's on the beach so sand is inevitably tracked around the house, and we found a few remnants from the prior renters (seemingly a hurried cleaning), but otherwise the pictures accurately show the home. Property Managers were very responsive - brought a new coffee maker, fixed lights, etc. It was our first trip to the Outer Banks and we hope to be back one day!

Broken lamp plugged in kids room. Loose rails on deck and board broken on walkway to beach and nails up. Rail loose on bannister in house. Advertised flatscreens in all bedrooms--not true. Website said jacuzzi--not true. Linens wete provided but put on wrong beds. I had to run up and down stairs trying to match sheets with beds. Needed new microwave. Taken care of quickly. Good location. Nice view. Nice house in general. Staff pleasant but different comments on when we could get in house and other issues. Also telephone did not work.

Heavy rain with strong winds and blowing sand made it impossible to spend much time on the beach or other outdoor activities, so most of the week was spent inside the house.The home photos made some of the rooms appear larger than they are, but they were all adequate. The dining room table, plus a smaller side table, made it possible for all twelve of our family members to eat together without crowding, and the kitchen worked well for us. We were grateful for that.There were a couple of repairs needed. The biggest was that the rain and wind made water come in around the sliding door to the top deck, which then ran down the wall into the bedroom below. But the management sent a repair person to check it out immediately after we reported it. I'm sure it was fixed as soon as possible aterwards.

As I progressed through the home, I noticed that there was a cabinet door missing from the kitchen. It looked bad. In addition to the missing cabinet door, there were other cabinet doors that did not shut properly because the hinges were loose. Also,the AC is controlled by two units--one for upstairs and one for mid and lower levels. The upstairs unit stopped working on Sunday--24 hours into our stay. Beach Realty was responsive and brought two window units for the upper level, one for the master bedroom, and one for the living room. The window units helped, but I had to call again on Monday to request a third window unit to help keep the upstairs bearable. We received another window unit on Tuesday. This was fine because I did not make the request for an additional unit until 4PM on Monday. Personnel came out to assess the inoperable unit. It was made clear to me that the unit needed to be replaced. I was left with the impression that the unit should have been replaced some time ago. Personnel did come out mid-week to replace the unit. On Monday, we had a family meal with 11 people. We were delighted to have a dish washer and loaded it with the rinsed dishes. Sadly, we had to unload it and hand wash the dishes because the dish washer didn't work. I did not call about this since I felt like I was spending more time on the phone or in person addressing issues with the house than with my family. The bottom line is that we had a nice time and made the best of our stay. The house is really lovely, but it needs attention. I would suggest regular maintenance check-ups to avoid disappointing your renters who are spending this kind of money. We love Nags Head; however, we will move on in our search for a home rental. Paying $11,000 for this house was our mistake.

Rooms were clean and towels and linens were provided. Kitchen is somewhat small for the number of persons that could actually stay and is poorly stocked with pans/pots and tupperware for left overs. Our family and friends loved the location and the pools were beautiful. One concern is that the pool needs to be cleaned a few times during the week, rather than only after tenants leave on Sunday. We had sand in both pools all week long. I understand the owner is in charge of the pool cleaning and hires out for this. The gentleman who came to test the ph refused to clean it for us,[he would have done it for $45 out of our pocket] flooded the hot tub, and was very rude. The owner needs to be aware of this!We had a wonderful week with family and friends, and would rent this home again. Thanks for a great week at the beach.

Despite cooler than usual weather and high winds, we all had a wonderful getaway and soaked up lots of sun and relaxation. The home was great accommodations for our group of 9 and could have fit many more. The beds were comfortable and the house was well equipped with whatever you may need and very clean. Watching the sunrise and the multiple greetings from dolphins was a favorite for all. The proximity to shopping and activities was great. The house is "tired" and in need of some general maintenance (peeling or stained paint inside, badly worn deck boards that were a cause for many splinters, most of the hot tub jets don't work and neck cushions are gone, dirty baseboards with missing trim or caulking.) None of these issues were a reason for us to wish we had chosen a different home but should be addressed before they get far worse. The app is easy to use and helpful for common issues and questions, however, it would be nice if once a maintenance request was submitted, there was some sort of received acknowledgment and estimated repair schedule. My only complaint/criticism is that none of the maintenance reports or requests were repaired, despite selecting immediate repair through the app. A short trip to Duck, NC was lots of fun walking the boardwalk, shopping, and eating donuts on a stick. The sand dunes just down the road at the State Park were our favorite adventure along with several laps at the Full Throttle go-kart track.

We were concerned about the public beach parking right next door, but we never noticed a soul. LOVED this house.

Heat was working well given we were there during early spring so evenings were cold. Close to Fatboyz ice cream, Jeanette's Pier, short drive to some good local food places. Don't love that public beach access is right next to the house but it was fine given we were there during non-peak season.

Kitchen area could use some sheer blinds in the big half circle window to block some direct sunlight. Can see how the top floor would be super hot in the summer. Outdoor steps leading up to the middle level door are in bad need of repair and maintenance. Bunk bed ladders were all loose, picnic table bench seat was completely wobbly and unusable on the top deck. Kitchen could use some supplies such as a can opener, a muffin tin. Place could have been cleaner, saw some ants & cockroaches. Didn't like that the pool was left completely uncovered all winter.

Overall it was a good escape for us simply because it has been so long since we were able to go anywhere or do anything but I wouldn't rent this place again without some maintenance and repair. It worked for us in a pinch.
