We have stayed at Sol Y Mar in the past and our experience both times has been great. This was a short trip to just relax and enjoy the scenery. Gus was there to help us with any needs. Condo was in great condition and there were no issues at all. We will be back

Loved everything about this condo. Wouldn't change a thing!!!

This was our third year staying in this condo. We love the easy access to beach and pool for our young son, the lovely furnishings and attention to detail, security. That said, we’ll likely start branching out to different places because it’s getting so expensive we can’t afford more than 4 nights. While this place is top notch I think there are others for less money with some compromises that we can handle.

Have stayed here before and we'll be back again! Morning, afternoon and evening beach walks are so easy from 1C. You are right at the edge of the beach; thru the property gate and you're there. A number of good to great restaurants within a short (5-15 min) walk on the beach. Sunsets are spectacular. Spending time on the back deck is great--i.e. cards, dominoes, reading, meals, etc It's nice to have 12 hours of daylight here in Costa Rica....

Sol y Mar is an outstanding location. Private, beautiful beaches. Numerous restraunts on the beach. The people at the Zindis group are fantastic. Dont hesitate to book this property and use them to help schedule your excursions...even your rental car...they are outstanding. Its nice to have private security 24 hours if you need anything. We will be back!!!

We stayed for 4 days. The condo and complex were excellent. Clean, we kept, they had everything we needed. The pool was a great place to hang in the afternoon. We will definitely stay here again.

Incredible experience! Zindis is the property manager and took every step to make the stay great. We had a house manager, Gustavo, who was always available via text for anything. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a stay at the beach in Costa Rica.

Beautiful property and well taken care of. If you are looking for a beautiful, not to busy beach, with fresh seafood and great drinks just an easy walk down the beach that is not a resort then this is the place for you! Saw all kinds of wildlife and easy to get to the other excursions in the area. Only 30 min from the airport. Definitely would go back again!

This place was amazing! The location was perfect having the beach right in front. We had three adults and one 11-year old and the space was perfect. We visited during what is considered the wet season and the weather was great! It was sunny and beautiful during the day and started to rain after 3:00. It didn't rain every day either. There was one night it was a downpour, but overall, the weather was ideal. The place is fully stocked with kitchen supplies, laundry supplies, games, and beach supplies. We even received a welcome basket with coffee, chips, salsa, and chocolate. The fridge has a water filter and there is reverse osmosis. So, you don't have to worry about drinking the water. There is a few bottles of sunscreen and bug spray, but I would advise you get some at the store if you don't bring any. I would suggest buying some spices for food since the ones there may have been there a while. There are stores and restuarants within walking distance. We rented a car to have the freedom to explore and driving here is not difficult at all. You just need to be assertive and watch for people walking or riding their bike. Gustavo is awesome! He was so helpful and provided some good information about the area and things we can do and places to eat. The wifi was perfect and my daughter was even able to do some homework during the evening. I woke up every morning to the crashing waves and sat out on the porch with coffee watching dolphins jump, crabs walk by, iguanas, and tons of beautiful birds. It's always nerve wracking going to a place that only see pictures of, and this place did not disappoint. We definitely want to come back.

Because of COVID, my sisters and I had not all been together since 2019, which was the longest we have ever been apart. We arrived from five different cities, travel and life weary, and our stay at Sol Y Mar and in the beautiful country of Costa Rica restored us. We arrived with no plans other than to spend a week on the beach relaxing and catching up. We did all of that and more. The house had everything we needed and from the moment we woke up until the evening we were on the lanai, on the beach or exploring the county. We met wonderful people who connected us with others, shared information, and opened their hearts in welcome. We left restored and reconnected. Playa Hermosa and Sol Y Mar were exactly what we needed. The home was more than comfortable for five adult women, and the kitchen was the best equipped of any home we have ever stayed in. When we didn't feel like cooking we walked to restaurants just down the beach or in town. There was truly nothing we needed that didn't find it's way to us with very little effort on our part. If you're looking for a beautiful place to stay and restore yourself, we highly recommend it.

Wonderful condo right on the beach. You can walk to nearby restaurants and bars as well as the little supermarket. The pool was really nice and perfect for kids. We really enjoyed having the nice grill and large bbq. We brought a beach wagon which helped to bring our young kids to restaurants down the beach and to bring back groceries to the condo. Sometimes the pool wasn’t on or cleaned daily, but when we messaged the management they quickly addressed the problem.

We spent a long time researching which VRBO to choose in CR. We were really glad we chose this property. It's really as great as the pictures, even better! Also fully stocked with all kitchen essentials, even things you wouldn't expect, like first aid kit, puzzles, DVD's. The convenience of being right at the beach was really valuable to us. The kids could go outside to swim or snorkel any time they wanted. The beach is beautiful and easy to swim. The beds/pillows/towels were comfortable and soft and the whole condo was spacious (2 adults, 3 large kids). We spent most of our time on the front patio, which has privacy but is also convenient to the beach and the pool. We appreciated the gift basket. There's also a basket of sunscreen and bug spray that others have left behind. We bought a boogie board and donated it to the collection of beach toys. After this experience, we would definitely use the Zindis company again. A few things to note: We did not rent a car, and found everything we needed at the store up the road - no car needed. The local restaurants are good, but we found the Aqua restaurant to be a bit pricey ($125 for 5 dinners). The concierge was very kind, but we found most things to be half the cost by talking to locals on the beach or just googling (taxi service, kayak rental, etc.). They only use one specific van company and it's twice the cost of regular taxis. Same for kayak rental. There is no house phone, so we used What's App to avoid foreign charges on our cell bill. We wish we'd have brought more cash. We also wish we'd planned ahead for the required covid tests prior to returning home because we had trouble arranging an appointment. If you walk down the beach a bit, you can gather mangoes that fall from a tree. We used them for breakfasts and to make mango salsa. We brought our own snorkels, but you can rent them at the beach. There is a family of monkeys that can be heard frequently and seen in the trees. A lot of iguanas. Geckos on the patio at night. Walking on the beach is just like other places; local vendors trying to sell stuff. Just say "no gracias". Go to either end of the beach and find neat little private coves to explore. Playa Hermosa seems to have a large number of homeless dogs wandering around but they keep to themselves.

We had a wonderful stay in our oceanside condo! The condo was clean, very well equipped and included a welcome basket of Costa Rican products. We especially enjoyed its proximity to the beach. We enjoyed morning walks in the surf and meals at the nearby seaside restaurants. The property manager was quick to respond to any questions as well. We highly recommend it and hope to return.

Beautifully appointed and exactly like the beautiful pictures, overlooking the beach. We highly recommend staying here. The property management was excellent and was attentive to our needs. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Outstanding in all respects! Check-in process easy...house manager Gustavo very helpful getting us acquainted with the unit and for follow-up as needed. Building maintenance staff, front security staff all are tuned in to helping guests be comfortable and meeting guest needs. SYM 1C is well stocked with everything needed for enjoyment including meal prep, relaxation indoors and out, very nice and well furnished outdoor living space, plenty of toys and chairs for enjoying the beach.. From time to time, we enjoyed preparing meals on the outdoor grill. Very quiet and very private.....condo is well built and well insulated for sound. Numerous excellent restaurants nearby and short walk via the beach: including La Casita del Marisco, Roberto's, Hotel el Velero, and Hotel Bosque del Mar.. Each business offered excellent service, delicious local fare, and we were repeat customers at all of the above.. When we return to Sol Y Mar next in Dec. 2022, we will look forward to again supporting each of these local businesses. Highly recommend Sol Y Mar and Playa Hermosa!

We had a week of relaxing family time at this terrific location right at the beach. Everything met and exceeded our expectations. Will be back!

This condo is fabulously stocked and has everything you could possibly need. The location is awesome in Playa Hermosa. Quiet and private, yet a 3-5 minute walk puts you at beachfront restaurants and bars in either direction. The Zindis concierge we had, Ian, was off the charts awesome and made sure our week here was filled with us seeing the very best of Costa Rica! The condo complex feels very safe and has a 24 hour severity guard which was great for us as we brought our kids with us. The pool is beautiful and the proximity to the beach can’t be beat. The local super markets, restaurants, pharmacies, etc were all we needed, but larger shopping centers are a mere 10-15 minute drive in Coco beach. Overall, our first time to Costa Rica was perfect, and we plan to come back and stay here again!! Pura Vida!!

Great attention to detail. Beautiful home, comfortable, with everything you need. And the beach is great, no waves it’s like a pool.

The pictures looked great and upon arrival and seeing the actual property was amazing. For 4 adults and 2 children there was plenty of space for everyone with even a small office. We were so impressed with how well stocked it was. The kitchen has lots of dishes, glassware and cooking utensils and there is an abundance of towels. The best part was the close proximity to the beach and the view from the terrace. Stunning sunsets like you've never seen before. We give the property an A+.

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was very nicely stocked with upscale dishes, utensil, towels, and much more. King bed was comfy, loved being right on the beach with gorgeous ocean and sunset views!

The property was as good as it gets. Very clean, safe, and modern with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The beach was awesome and there were very few people on the beach. The beautiful birds, cool iguanas, and nearby howler monkeys made it feel like a different world. Also lots of restaurants within walking distance on the beach with great food and drinks. Definitely worth it!

This was a wonderful stay in Playa Hermosa. The communication with the property manager for check-in as well as recommendations and booking an excursion through the concierge was seamless. The condo was equipped with everything we needed and more. I will definitely book this location again for future stays.

What a great place! It was clean, the beach and pool were literally right out the back door, and the condo was close to many restaurants and other amenities. The stay was bette than I imagined it would be for our family.
