Great place to stay for some rest and relaxation. Perfect weather. No heat or air conditioning required. Friendly and helpfull locals and a beautiful place to spend some time. Everything you might need at stores no more than 5 minutes away. Lots of interesting things to do in the surrounding areas.

David was a wonderful host. His property was just beautiful. This is just what we needed. Clean air and beautiful mountain views. A lovely place to get away from it all.

Finca Altovista had just about everything I needed to relax. A big covered porch with comfortable furniture looking out over flower filled gardens, forests, and pastures. A homey living room with good lighting and spacious couches. A well-furnished kitchen with fresh eggs every day from the farm. A quiet bedroom with a comfortable mattress. David, the owner, was gracious and charming, as were the folk who worked on the farm. There was a great vegetable market a few minutes away, a choice of good restaurants, and plenty of adventure trips if we wanted them. Volcán and all of Chiriqui are breathtakingly beautiful.

I would not stay here again.

Just what the doctor ordered. My self doctoring prescribed time at a place where I could reflex on my priorities in life. Very enjoyable. David was engaging when asked to be and unobtrusive when that was needed. The fact that he is a kind and caring person become very apparent and evident as the stay progressed. A wonderful change from the ordinary lodging being offered. Need I saw more!

The highlight of our trip to Panama was staying at David's beautiful farm (finca) in Volcan! We loved staying here because we were made to feel at home by the friendly host and his lovely extended family! His home is comfortable with amenities ie, TV and Wifi. David who is bilingual, gave us great recommendations on restaurants, Janson's coffee farm, and buying fresh fruit, and interesting sites in the area, and directions to the Costa Rican border. His farm is a great place to bird watch, star gaze, and to sit on the outdoor porch and just chill. We can't thank him enough -His dogs were wonderful also! We highly recommend this place for an authentic Panama experience in a magnificent setting with a great host!

This is a ranch style home, a duplex with your apartment on one side and the owner on the other. Your host, David, built this home as a working farm starting about 27 years ago. It has been beautifully landscaped and provides a great place to unwind. The town of Volcan is only a few minutes away but you are surrounded by pastures and hills. This is a great place for those with a few small children. Lots of room to explore. David himself is a wealth of information about the area, is multi-lingual and is very helpful to suggest points of interest. He’s also attentive to any needs that may arise. This is not a resort type property but a true Panamanian experience. If you want to experience the real Panama in a relaxing and peaceful setting, I’d recommend it highly.
