Location is only an easy, 10 minute drive from downtown Helen, so it was nice to be able to stay close without it having to be in town. Area is quiet, with the exception of some road noise, but not enough to be bothersome. We used the fireplace every night and the hot tub a couple of times. There isn't much of a view to speak of; the back deck is lined with trees, there's a neighboring cabin a short distance away, and in the front of the cabin your view is a junk-heap of a backyard of a residence (however, you can't fault the cabin owners for that.) We used the cabin for a place to sleep mostly as we were gone all day most days, but it definitely served it's purpose as a quiet retreat for our Anniversary trip. There were a couple of areas the cleaners are missing pretty consistently: dusty bathroom fixtures, cupholders of couches were dirty, and we found what we think was a petrified biscuit in the couch. Aesthetically, I'd update the pictures hanging on the walls, they don't do anything for the cabin, especially since one is a picture of the beach. I'd also recommend a big throw rug in front of the fireplace and runners in the dining room and kitchen to protect the pretty wood floors. But again, those are just cosmetic things, didn't affect our stay. Be aware that heat rises, because it got really hot upstairs, especially with the fireplace on. Overall we were pleased with our stay, and thankfully the downstairs bed was comfy. (We didn't use the upstairs one.)

Tranquil and impeccable property. We have found a gem that met all our needs. Thanks for sharing to us a peaceful place. It made a huge difference in our anniversary.

The cabin was nice, but beware it is NOT within walking distance to anything! The site says that it is a 12 mile drive to Helen, but it also states that Cowboys and Angels, a restaurant that is located in downtown Helen, is a .3 mile walk. So if you want to be able to walk to Helen this is not the place! The cabin is cozy yet very roomy and the fireplace worked great. However I would not call it luxurious, from the pots and pans in the kitchen to the linens and towels. All seemed to be well worn and of poor quality, albeit clean. Linens on one bed were torn. Plenty of spare pillows but short on spare blankets. The carpet upstairs really needs replacing and there is no closet in the upstairs bedroom. The mattresses were good. The only other suggestion I'd make is to tell people how to use the lock system. I am not that familiar with them and it would have been helpful to know that after you enter the code to hit the "padlock" button, give it a moment and the door unlocks! It was a scary few minutes there thinking that after an 8 hour drive, we couldn't get in, but we figured it out!

Enjoyed our time in Helen, the town is about a 10 minute drive and the Christmas lights and decorations were great(just bring cash, all vendors charge 3.99% credit/debt fee). It was great having our dogs with us. The cabin was very nice, our only disappointment was the fireplace is propane. Will have to go back in warmer weather to enjoy the water sports.

The driveway needs work, very rutted and needs re graveled.

We loved the hot tub, the layout of the house was so comfy we felt right at home…. My three year old asked were we home …. He and my 12 year old enjoyed the upstairs loft area! Definitely close to all the shopping, eating and other things but far enough to have that lonely cabin experience that we loved! Will book again soon! The Hattaways

The property is beautiful and the location is perfect! We initially came to the area primarily for Octoberfest in Helen, but thanks to some recommendations made by the owner, we discovered several wonderful spots outside of Helen.

This property is a short drive to Helen. We met up with some friends who had a rental in Helen; however, due to narrow roads with no shoulders they still had to drive into town instead of walking. We had zero issues. It was a beautiful property. We had another couple join us and we had plenty of room. The communication was top notch and I would rent this property or any other property with this owner again and again.

The cabin was beautiful. Everything you need. (Except close hangers). The hot tub was a big plus. Very clean and super comfortable. The only reason we would not return is we brought our Harley and the driveway was up a hill with a sharp turn, and all rocks and dirt. Had to leave the bike at friend's cabin. Other than that, PERFECT Thank you so much for the wonderful experience.

Arrived at the property at 11:00 pm. Could not get in the cabin. Wrong code. Tried to contact the agent no answer! Tried calling number on the door..no answer. Had to go into town and get a hotel. Didn’t stay in cabin at all! Agent would only return half of our money stating it was not his fault!!! I would not recommend using Mr. Rubin!!!

This trip ended up much better than it started. After receiving a message a day before our arrival that we would receive instructions on how to check in we set out on a long day’s drive. Only to discover we still had no instructions for entering the property. I called VRBO support as if they reached out to owner and property manager, both of whom failed to return any phone calls. This required us having to then get a local hotel for the night. A huge inconvenience to say the least. Luckily the owner finally called back the following day, so we were then able to access the house. The property was great , but must confess the bed mattresses were very uncomfortable. Overall would not recommend

Clean nice area

Comfortable beds, nice hot tub, great kitchen. 10 min. to Helen, easy drive to National Forest and waterfalls. Grill and picnic table are helpful. May not like the sounds of traffic and barking dogs from house next door.

Cozy elegance in the middle of the woods, with all the amenities! Great kitchen, great beds and wonderful TV. Loved the porch and the hot tub, and also loved the cool temps in the morning!

Probably the best place I’ve ever stayed. Super cute and close to Helen for day activities. Plenty of dishes and necessities were already provided including extra garbage bags set up in trash cans which I’ve never seen before.

My family and I came to the cabin for a weekend birthday celebration (granddaughter). The cabin was very nice and the location was fine for the most part. The home next to the cabin was burning wood and the smoke was really bad the first night of our stay (not the cabin owner’s fault). The cabin was well furnished and the hot tub was nice. However, it would have been nice to have use of the fireplace on Saturday as it was cold and raining all day. Maybe consider keeping the fireplace operational until Memorial Day due to cooler Spring weather. The games and puzzles that were provided were a nice touch. I like that it is located near Helen and not in the crowded city center. The cabin is less than 10 minutes away from Helen, but is quiet and peaceful. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us and we definitely enjoyed our stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice stay

The property was peaceful and beautiful. Super clean and well decorated. The hot tub was great after walking around Helen each day, allowed us to unwind and relax. The proximity to Helen was perfect. I would rent again when in the area.
