I couldn't check in on time because of the train strike, but the hotel was kind enough to help me change my check-in date. I wanted to go to the beach in the morning to take pictures, but it was raining. And the staff was really nice, and he lent me an umbrella, and I came back from taking pictures and enjoying some delicious eggs Benedict.

No food / light snacks available after 2.30pm. Had hungry kids needing food all the time. Restaurant table hard to get early. No Chocolate bars available at bar. At least sandwiches & light snacks should be available say 10am - 10pm. Breakfast menu not suitable for children and should be by item and not set menu.

The room was good and view amazing very helpful and pleasant staff. Facilities were very good great location with lots to do within walking distance.

The spa and swimming pools were not maintained very well. Water levels too low in spa pools and some floating around edge's. Pools had dirt and debris in them.

It was the fourth time we have stayed at the hotel and in the last year a number of improvements have been made, including to the bedrooms with the addition of balconies and the swimming pool area.

There is nothing major and we will definitely return; we used to like having a bath in one of the rooms but that was replaced with a shower.

Standard room up 36 steps and no lift. We normally cope OK with stairs but these were steep!

Large rooms, beautiful views and great location. Would recommend for 1 night stay as sure rooms aren’t all like ours was.

Rooms were dated. Our bathroom smelt of the kitchen (fried food) due to the location near the extraction system. Duty Manager on reception wasn’t very attentive and easily distracted.

In general, we were happy with our stay, staff were very helpful, professional and polite. Our room was not large but did have a good-sized bathroom. The only issue with the bedroom was that we had to keep squeezing past each other to get to and from the bathroom.

The area I would suggest for improvement would be breakfast. On both mornings the coffee was not hot, I asked for a replacement pot on the second morning but it was as tepid as the first pot. The hash browns are precooked and stale as the croissants, the pastries could be of better quality, they were stodgy and unappetising. The views are exceptional and despite the works going on in the grounds, the weather ensured we had a pleasant stay, thank you. We will come back.
