The buffet breakfast was top class and plenty of it freshly cooked, one of the best we've had. The bar service again was excellent and served with efficiency.
Noisy next door couple.

The location and the view was amazing. Staff very courteous, especially the guy named Javed. He looked after us very well. They had an EV charger too, which reduced our worries to find charging in the island. There was a lift next to the hotel that would take you down to the main beach in a min.
Limited parking at the property but on road parking available outside. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but a lot of takeaways near by. You can order and get the delivery at the hotel.

Views were absolutely stunning. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Close to beach front. A vist to the Needles is a must, especially if you have the sunshine.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast. Great location.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Great location. It was lovely being able to look out at the sea with breakfast, which was nicely set up and tasty plus added bonus of a piano player. Recommended.

The decor was beautiful. The colours are the rich velvety mix of colours. My daughter and I loved the little details of statues and variety of chair types and absolutely adored all the lighting.
Our shower was quite narrow and for my husband it was quite a struggle. Although the water was always warm and lovely water pressure.
Our mattress needs to be replaced. Every time we moved you heard a spring go off. But our daughter said her bunk bed mattress just fine.

Balcony, customer service
Breakfast was not good, eggs horrendous, undercooked and greasy. No fresh yoghurt , nothing for diabetics, bread in packets so everyone touched it to get a piece. Long hair hanging all over the food of the waiting staff ( altho they were incredibly friendly) . Not enough milk for tea in the rooms. The cups were huge but not enough milk to put in them. The most expensive rooms with a seaview were so tiny you couldnt open wardrobe door.

Excellent customer service. Excellent breakfast
The owner manager she was lovely. Normally to have a pianist at breakfast you would be paying a lot more, nice touch.
If you book the penthouse suite, bear in mind, you need to be quite mobile to get your suitcases up 5 flights of stairs. No lift. I struggled to fit in the shower ( just under 6ft tall ) and the wife couldn’t get in either due to her mobility issues.
But when I was checking out, they did say you should’ve said they would put us in another room which was nice gesture

Room wasn’t anything like it was described paid for an upgrade but shower had a large step into it both my friend and myself had small disabilities and so asked if they could move us to a room with a room that the shower was accessible, so we were taken to a new room downstairs at 10.00pm which had a shower that was accessible but the bed wasn’t even a 4ft , a tiny box room that was cold and next to the car park , when we asked if there was anything bigger as I had paid £60 to upgrade after also emailing the hotel, i felt this was not acceptable so asked if I could have any kind of refund, was told I could have both rooms ( not sure what that was meant to achieve) decided to leave and go to a lovely hotel and enjoyed the second day there.
Any thing from start to finish, also I chose this hotel as it said there was parking, but I was told I had to park my car on double yellow lines out on the road

Bathroom was very small particularly the shower.
Room was a bit too small once suitcases opened.

Room unsuitable for elderly in addition to being ridiculously small and on ground floor facing car park.Booking.com at fault for not explaining this prior to booking. We had to move to alternative hotel. Prefer to book direct with hotels in future

We loved everything here: Salma and her team are very friendly and caring. We felt very welcomed here.
You can pre-order dinner in the morning and the manager, Salma, is an incredibly good cook. Try out the sea bass and the curry, they‘re delicious!
Everytime we sat outside in the garden we were amazed by the stunning view, overlooking Shanklin beach. Our room was at the very top and we‘ve never had a better view on the sea than here. The beds are also very comfortable.
The Shanklin shops and the bus station are just a 5- mins walk away. Here you can catch buses to all the destinations on the island.
We liked everything! Thanks Salma and her team

Beautiful sea view from our room, we didn't shut the curtains once! The location was excellent within walking distance of Shanklin Chine, the beach, the amusements and shops. The hotel was colourful, quirky with an eclectic feel about it. The garden was lovely with plenty of seats all overlooking the sea, particularly lovely to seat eating their great breakfast.
A tiny thing but we wanted to drink a few cocktails in the evening but unfortunately the bar wasn't equipped ( no ingredients or know how). We ended up spending our money on cocktails elsewhere which is a shame for the Hotel Mentone.

One of the staff was really nice and helpful. The sea side, the cliff views was nice. The food in some of the restaurant was nice too.
The manager of the B&B was not nice and considerate, she was rude to me the very first day and then I pointed out what she did and later apologise, but her attitude at first was unpleasant.

The location is absolutely stunning, great spot to get to the beachfront pubs and restaurants as well as the beach. But beware! Taking a lift costs £1 and the guy who operates it is not the most pleasant ( although this has nothing to do with the hotel itself). It's also only a short walk from town centre. The breakfast included was exactly what needed for the trip, good choice of food, well presented, keeps you full for quite a while for when you get out and about exploring the island. Reasonably priced drinks. Outside deck well presented, big BBQ and pool table. The hotel got it all for the price you pay! Staff is lovely, especially Selma and Janice. Great vibe throughout. I will definitely return.
The cleaner was a bit short with us when asked if she was coming to our room next plus did not change some towels ( hotel asks to leave the towels that need changing in the shower/bath to be environmentally friendly, which is a nice touch, however not all our towels got changed)

Beautiful decor and lovely friendly staff. Very close to lift for access to beach and many nice restaurants. Boris, the herring gull is the resident pet that comes for his daily breakfast.

The owner and staff were exceptional, could not do enough for you! The view from our room and the breakfast/lounge area was wonderful. The lounge and breakfast area was great with so many areas to sit and relax looking at the view along with outdoor comfortable garden furniture too! A couple of mornings while eating breakfast, there was a gentleman playing the piano which was pure delight! We will be going back next year!
The room we had was on the 3rd floor but the staff were marvellous and took our cases up (we did have quite a few too). Also the room was a little small and not much room to maneuverer, but we are going back and upgrading to a bigger room.

Good location with friendly staff. Breakfast was fine for full English
Room was very small for the price, 4th floor with no lift is no joke. Breakfast is limited if you want fruit. Parking is very limited and when full very tight to squeeze out of the car park.

Location and friendly staff
Both single rooms were far too small, including the bathroom's which were tiny and cramped. There was no lift, and breakfast choices were disappointing.

Staff very friendly and helpful . Sorted out any problems quickly
It would have been nice to have had a fan in the room to cool it down and also a mini fridge to keep drinks cold
