On a previous stay we considered this a top class hotel.
Location is fantastic and rooms are good and clean.
A big plus for us is that it is NOT a dog friendly hotel.
Breakfast was a terrible experience.
Food was tepid, butter was rancid and filter coffee was too strong.
No other choice for coffee as machine was broken.
After complaining to reception about food, next day was sadly worse, food was very cold.
On second day, at 3.00pm, room had not been serviced.
We called reception for toilet paper and it arrived 30mins later.
Complimentary biscuit packet was open with a half eaten biscuit inside.

No parking and the closest pay for car park had many royal mail trucks taking up a lot of the spaces.

The only complaint would be room 103 had small bathroom. The size of the shower door was rediculous for the bigger person.... Our last stay had massive bathroom

The room (310) ran at a slope and I realise this is to do with the age of the building but it did affect bed comfort and I feel that the price fir the standard double room is far too high!

The room was nice but toilet very small.
There was no food available in the afternoon apart from cocktails and nuts. Breakfast experience wasn’t great waited 40 minutes for breakfast felt it was cold and undercooked especially the bacon. Had to ask 3 times for a pot of tea and still waited 20 minutes. Also felt for the price of the room breakfast should have been included and not an extra expense.

Room was small and the en-suite was really small! Bad drain smell in the room. No double glazing so lot of street noise.

Excellent Location in centre of Oban. Room very clean, with Bluetooth Sound Dock and Coffee Machine. Modern bathroom with lovely warm shower and robes provided. Very good breakfast, and evening Lebanese themed restaurant was superb.

Staff was lovely, the breakfast was very good.
The room was greatly overpriced and underwhelming. There were spots of??? on the carpets, the shower was a complete joke. I’m slender and I could only get in and close the door with great difficulty.
For a room that cost over £200 a night, this hotel is a disgrace.
Avoid it if you possibly can unless you don’t mind stains of unknown origin on the carpet by your bedside and have no desire to have a peaceful and calm shower.

Great location and a lovely room, Friendly staff. The hotel has massive potential.
There is a real shortage of staff (as in many hotels and restaurants) which meant that the service was not good. I think the staff were overwhelmed particularly as there were large bus parties coming and going. The room was not thoroughly clean and for this standard of hotel that is not acceptable.

The location is perfect, right next to the bus stop and train station. You don't need a map to find it.
The hot water response at the sink in the room was a little slow, but understandable with the penthouse.
