We required somewhere close to St Andrews but not overly expensive and The Inn provided that. There was plenty of parking space and the rooms were spacious and very comfortable with a decent sized TV and en-suite bathroom.
Breakfast was available if you were prepared to pay @17.50 per person. We opted for a less expensive version in St Andrews (Morrisons!).

Lovely view from suite
The price was a little OTT (£232) for the suite we stayed in. The balcony decking could do with a serious upgrade as well as the outdoor furniture.

Hotel and staff were excellent, service was first class, and will certainly book another stay at the Inn.
Cannot complain about anything our stay was very enjoyable.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpfull. The food was great and overall value for money great. I would have no hesitation in staying here again if I was visiting the area

The inn was full of charm with added history, log burner in the bar area making it very cosy , along with great food served in the Resturant. This time we visited without a dog -excellent option to bring your furry friend as welcome in the bar area. Ideal for exploring the local areas of St Andrews/Fife
There was nothing I didn’t like about the property.

Staff were very welcoming on arrival, and provided plenty of information. Email contact via Booking.com kept us up to date with what to expect and prompted us to confirm and make reservation for dinner before arrival, and for breakfast when we checked in.
Our room was a generous size, and the bathroom was as well. A spa bath in the bathroom was appreciated. Bedroom door felt solid and secure. The bedroom decor was pleasant, although more masculine than feminine. There was a wardrobe and chair, and the TV was a good size and easy to view. Comfortable bed, and the view from the window was of the property itself, which is quite charming.
Dinner was in an attractive restaurant on the property, and was well prepared. We enjoyed our meals, which were very tasty and well presented. Drink selection was good.
Breakfast was satisfactory, and in an attractive warm toned room. Table service provided.
An attractive rural location, and quiet. It is a place I would be happy to recommend.
The floors in our bedroom accommodation were very noisy. They squeaked and creaked making it impossible to move around at night without disturbing each other. The floor itself appeared scuffed and worn. There was a strong smell of industrial strength cleaner in both the corridor and the room upon arrival. This was quite unpleasant and a bit overwhelming, but did at least give a clear indication of cleanliness.
There were no available power outlets near the bed. No USB outlet for charging devices, which is a nice bonus we have found at a few other places we have been. The lighting in the bedroom was poor - the window did provide natural light, but as the room was large it did not reach well into the inner part of the room. The bathroom, while modern, seemed to lack a bit of finesse in the finish, but was certainly functional.
Breakfast did not meet all of our group's expectations, but was in a pleasant and well lit room. The mushrooms were rather salty, and the porridge also was too salty for my husband. There were good breakfast options, and enough to meet everybody's needs. There were artificial flowers on the breakfast tables. Flowers are nice, and I imagine that artificial ones are easy to maintain and avoid allergies, but I still miss fresh flowers when it is summer. This is of course only a personal preference.
My daughter and I usually like to go for a walk in the morning before breakfast, but did not feel that the country road was safe enough to do this.

20 mins drive from St Andrews, easy to find
Bathroom is quite old. Not a great place for holidays, but absolutely ok for a night stay in a road trip

Staff, quality of food and accommodation.
That you have to apply for discount in the restaurant if staying on the premises a few days prior. Should happen automatically.

the property was amazing, staff were super welcoming and really nice. the food in the restaurant was unreal, very very tasty.
the jacuzzi bath shot out dirty water before we got in so had to re run the bath.

Lovely staff, always working hard to ensure you are well looked after. The location was great for us, St Andrews is a 15 minute drive and there’s a wealth of nearby coastal villages to visit and enjoy the coastal path walks. The menu is quite extensive and should suit most tastes but may be a bit lacking for vegetarians or vegans if you’re stopping for more than a few days.
The exterior is looking a bit dated and the noise transmission between rooms is noticeable, it is pet friendly if there’s a yappy dog in the bar It can get a bit annoying.

We had a superior double room with a patio and it was so lovely. clean, comfortable and we loved the spa tub. Our dog was very welcome and there was never any time if felt uncomfortable to have the dog with us. everyone was so helpful and friendly. staff are amazing and food was excellent. So welcoming, we will definitely stay again.
Genuinely struggling to think of anything- if pushed the paintwork outside the inn would be bonnie freshened up, but it’s been a hard winter and the Inns on a busy road, be very difficult to stay pristine white.

Breakfast was amazing , evening meal was outstanding , service was impeccable we had a front road facing room but unfortunately it was noisy and cold so we asked the staff if we could move and they moved us straight away .

Convenient for the crematorium.
Soulless, somewhat spartan, uncomfortable bed, strange blue light in bathroom, food very average and no choice of fresh food for a vegetarian.

This place is gorgeous, inside and out.
There was a power cut- not anyone's fault but didn't even get offered a discount or any money back for the inconvenience. The staff said it happens alot there, power cuts, it wasnt crazy power cut weather either. The staff constantly say FOLKS at the end of every sentence like robots, clearly been told to use that word instead of something more casual, really grated on us by the end of the stay. The room no.12 was the worst room, could hear everything from the kitchen till later at night, could hear the people in no.11 snoring all night and could here the rooms 14 and 15 above us pacing the floors. Due to the power cut we weren't able to have a shower, breakfast was stone cold, sent it back for it to brought back out colder than it was when we went in. There were things we couldn't have from the menu because of the power cut. They have a generator but the male member of staff said it isn't any use. Handy. So we went for one night, stayed in a room with no TV and flickering lights, couldn't sleep in room no.12 due to its placement and hearing every movement from other rooms, couldn't get a shower so left without one, couldn't even get an Omelette and the staff were acting as though it happens all the time and they were used to it. Horrendous service, my wife complained and the boy gave us a key for a room with a shower that 'worked' but expecting us to cart everything to the other end of the hotel. Everything was irritating from the FOLKS constantly to the flickering lights to the hunger and feeling groggy next day. 120 quid pissed up a wall basically

The staff were absolutely lovely, very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. The food was great and the menu is very varied, there is definitely something for everyone. Our room was very large and very clean. There was a large walk in shower and a jacuzzi bath. The Inn is also dog friendly and it was so nice to have our little dog with us. She was also very much welcomed and well looked after!
Nothing, we didn’t find fault with anything.
