The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was OK and the location of the hotel very convenient. The bathroom was nice and very clean.

The price we paid was definitely too high for the standard. The room (except for the bathroom) was more or less on an IBIS standard (very small, no amenities), but about 100 CHF more expensive.

No Air Con, so had to leave windows open and hence was noisy

Flies all over the restaurant tables! Flies sitting on your food. Staff didn’t even seem to notice us waving flies away with one hand and eating with another. Small room, no AC, tiny beds. No fridge in the room. Too few amenities for what they charge. There was no way to get to reception with bags- entry ways packed with drinking patrons, who glared at us as we squeezed ourselves through. Asked a staff- she pointed to the door and said “see that door that says ‘reception’? “ There just was no way for us to get to it without upsetting folks, but she didn’t seem to care. We were three brown people in Visp, so most of the patrons looked at us with apparent disgust. Luckily, my 7 yr old was too tired to notice.
