THe shower and the room service was good.

The carpet had a big burnt mark. The fridge was rusty. No aircond in the room and it was so hot. The little fan didn't do much.

We were originally given a room right on the footpath and the bed was like a hammock. When I asked if we could have a room further away from the road the staff were very accommodating. The room was much quieter and the bed was okay.

There was a continuous whining sound which seemed to be coming from the ceiling space as we couldn't find the source in the room. We had to wear ear plugs and left the TV on all night to try to drown out the noise.

Bathroom lights would flicker when turned on, dining chairs were not stable, the legs were wobbly and seat would come off. There was hair on the bathroom floor on the first day of arrival. Dead insects along the bottom of the sliding door that looked like they had been there for a while. Oven could have done with a bit more cleaning.

Absolutely nothing.

Absolutely everything. Never been so traumatising and disgusted in our stay there. Has to be by far the worst hotel/motel we’ve stayed at. They are the dirtiest scum bags and the money was 100% not worth it. There cleaning is filthy. They chuck the soap bars out the window from previous people’s stay. They don’t mop the floor so there were piss stains still on the toilet floor. There were bugs in the toilet when you flushed it. The toilet water actually stopped working on our last night there. There were bed bugs and we managed to catch one. There were stains on the kitchen table & floor. The blankets weren’t washed you could smell the previous people on it. They literally had a blood stain on the sheets and blankets. They even had a massive blood clot looking thing on the side of the mattresses. It was our only option to stay there because we had already payed and it was non refundable. We were staying down there in such short notice and didn’t have time to tell them earlier as we had to wake up and go straight to hospital. We confronted on our last day that it was the most disgusting stay and he literally laughed in our face. We just wanted the money back for the cleaning fee and as you could tell no cleaning was done. He said to email them and someone should get back to us in 48hrs and no one did.

I had good expectations from the last time I stayed about 10 years ago. This time, the thing I liked best was leaving this property and seeing it in my rear vision mirror.

Everything in this place is now run down, broken or incredibly dirty. To make it worse the manager did nothing when I pleaded for something safe to sit on and for the cleaning staff to come back and actually clean the room. I asked 3 times over two nights and when I complained to him upon check out, the manager stated that he had become too busy to organise anything for me. Even the fire extinguisher hasn't been serviced in more than 12 years!

Was nothing I liked. I am not fussy and have stayed in Motels/hotels around the world but this place is a disgrace to NZ. The bed was 1980's and no electric blanket, the toilet outlet went thru a hole in the wall, ants, a small plug in heater & the unit was right next to the busiest road in NZ and no sleep all night.

Was glad to leave. Arranged a late check in but took 35min to find someone 250m along the road. The bathroom had mould on the roof. Only two plugs worked. There was no maintenance done for a long time and what was was home made. This place was simply appalling. The bed was shoe horned into a little alcove for some reason closest to the traffic noise. I stayed in a Motel in Kaikoura for $135 with breakfast and brand new and it was full so no cheap rates.

Close to where i was working. Comfortable.

Broken glass in draw which i just about cut finger on. Still there from previous visitor i guess. Fridge was not working properly as milk was frozen all the time and was turn to its lowest setting. Could do with a make over. Possibly vacuum the whole room from time to time

they have not provided enough towels and bed not that comfy. sofa is broken too

Terrible, avoid, I've travelled for work 25 years and this was the worst. Fix hot water please. There was no office on the property and the old office looked derelict. I had to walk a block to a different motel, to sign in. It was night time and this wouldn't be appropriate for a female guest, possibly dangerous. No hot water in the shower, water was bearly warm so unusable.The room smelt like it had been sprayed with something slightly better than the previous bad smell.

The room was disgusting Ants in the bed bathroom, window handle was broken, The room smelt terrible and the garbage bin wasnt emptied from the previous guest i would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Disgusting motel i took my elderly mother there i would not take her back or anyone for that matter.
