We liked that the hotel and room was clean and there was tea/coffee in n the room. The shower worked well and was easy to use. The location of the hotel was ideal as its a short walking distance to the town centre and local amenities
The bed in our room was too soft but we did get some sleep, it just wasn’t the most comfortable. Our room view wasn’t the best as all we could see was roofs and buildings but that can’t really be helped as not everyone can get a sea front view

Traveled for work - didn't have breakfast so unfair to comment on that. The building is a grade 2 listed Victorian property and has many original features. First room was Room 3 - was like a cave - very dark and far too hot - toilet didn't flush properly, bed too hard. Second 3 night stop was in Room 5 - much better room - with a Lake view - bed was comfy. Both rooms had clean bedding, and towels, bathroom was clean - both rooms need a good deep clean. Other than that was a pleasant enough stay and other quests were quiet, which is important when traveling for work.
Rooms needed a deep clean, was a lot of thick dust on the carpets and skirting boards, which i noticed when using the plugs. It's not a bad place at all, the staff are very accommodating and brought me teabags etc as soon as I asked for them, as my room had not been serviced. They are a small business doing their best.

I spent a happy 3 days staying in this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious and filling. The hotel is situated close to the sea front so easy access to the beach

Location
Hotel very dated. Appreciate it is listed but a little more effort is needed. Also we booked two rooms and the hotel is split into two houses and they put us in rooms in separate houses.

The location was great, it had on site parking. The breakfast was lovely, they changed items for what we wanted. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We would stay there again!
The bed wasn’t the most comfortable which resulted in broken sleep.

The location of the hotel was perfect. The room was brilliant with all the facilities we needed. The location was quiet, even though the main promenade was just in front of the hotel.

We were put in a loft with no access to a lift and me and my wife have heart disease we had to climb loads of steps and refused to move us

Bed was infested with Bed bugs/ flees. Woke up in the middle of the night with bites all over my legs and back and husbands legs.

Staff very polite, helpful and friendly. Value for momey was great and the breakfast was top shelf. Rooms were clean and hotel location is perfect. Available space in front car park with no additional charges.

The location, right on the front and 5 mins walk from the main street.
Nothing much, the room is very basic but had what we needed for the 3 nights we were there.

Friendly staff
Room very outdated and not that clean, bathroom had been updated but not clean and when showering the shower head only went one way and would not stay up on the shower pole. Very dusty room, dirty carpet, cobwebs on ceiling, dirty shower, dusty radiator. More attention to detail of cleaning required, dirty window and blocked guttering.

We were met with a warm welcome.. we requested an early check in .. our room wasn't ready but was offered another room if we wanted but we were heading straight out so stuck with original room 3 with the four poster bed. Had a comfortable night's sleep. The room was very clean and lovely and warm.
