The main building was nice but the rooms were a little outdated.
The rooms - the pics of the family room on the website were much nicer than where we stayed.

staff were friendly, hotel was spotless, food was fabulous, room was modern and spacious
the room was extremely warm, which made sleeping a little hard, but that can’t be helped.

Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and the bed was absolutely a dream, a great nights sleep. We had breakfast only once and it was very good, food was presented well and everything was hot.
The only thing that could have been better would have been the weather, and of course, that was nothing the hotel could have improved 😉

We loved EVERYTHING about the property!!! By far my favorite hotel while is Ireland for 2 weeks and 5 hotels. The suites are luxurious, comfortable and amenities such as bedding and robes are 5 star!! The robes are amazing!!! Great location with parking on-site which made our day trips so easy to go get the car within steps of the front door. I'm still dreaming of this hotel, would highly recommend!!

Room is lovely along with the location being ideal. Lovely welcoming reception area.
Bar food was very disappointing . Fan in the room wasn’t working and was extremely noisy, did not sleep well for 340 per night. Trolleys were being moved by staff right outside our room window (ground floor) in the early morning along with staff also hoovering early morning. Disappointing when looking forward to a relaxing night away.

Breakfast v poor. Table for 6 there were 7 adults.
Long queue for the breakfast. Kerry Irish was definitely cooked to a dry crisp....obviously cooked hours earlier..... in my opinion not good enough....v disappointing for €22.50 per head.
Overall a very disappointing stay. I had been in GSH three weeks earlier with more family..... no complaints.... what a difference getting busy makes.

window in suite was Drafty, and thought I would pay for our breakfast on check out, (as I knew it wasn’t included in package which was grand) but had to pay after I finished breakfast so needed to go back up to room and get payment.

Didn't like the fact that after paying 718 euro for 2 nights accommodation we also had to pay extra for breakfast---22.50 each for a breakfast that really was'nt worth it!

Breakfasts here are in a beautifully-maintained old ballroom atmosphere, with old Waterford chandeliers. The food is outstanding. The staff is superb. Dinners are also excellent. Make sure you have at least a couple meals here.

The price was scandalous. €320 for just one night in a nice but basic average sized room with no breakfast included is far too much in our opinion.
