Central location, lovely staff

Absolutely nothing bad

Bath and shower clean and hot, beds comfortable. Staff very helpful later when I thought I had left a jacket there.

Room rather hot and dark. And when I tried to open the window the lace curtain fell down. But couldn't keep the window open because of the noise! Till 2 or 3 in the morning there was incessant noise coming from the bar downstairs and next door. I do realise it was a warm Saturday night on Ramsgate harbour front, but was unable to sleep. I did ring and ask to be moved, but they said they were fully booked. Decor of hotel is adequate 1970s, but the whole thing seems a bit Fawlty Towers.

Clean, smart room. Very comfortable bed. Gorgeous view!

Noisy at night (due to surrounding bars) - but understand this was in the property listing. We had a great nights sleep any ways!

Not many facilities as there is only a bar on the first floor. No longer got access to the bar/restaurant which was an added bonus before.

No kitchen or small function room for snacks or little food. Also the to although it was very isolated there was no view.

2nd time of staying here and it didnt disappoint, comfy bed (which was upgraded for me at no extra cost) again a 5* shower and although a different staff member at the front desk they were equally exceptionally friendly and helpful

Located right on the harbour front. Manager is super friendly and helpful. Nice comfy armchair in room. Good value for quality and location

Not suitable for people with mobility problems. No lift and multiple stair levels and corridors to reach rooms.

Stunning views and a beautiful room.

We were on the 3rd floor and there was no lift, also they did change our towel and bed but didn't refill coffee etc

If you don't like stairs this hotel may not be for you .

No shaver socket no hair dryer I am 6' 3'' , the bed was was a bit short.8

Room a little small but completely adequate. Quiet and peaceful, ( September ). Breakfast and meals available in bar bellow.

Close to shops and bars. Busses very close to Margate and Broadstairs. Very picturesque.

This is a simple hotel but really great for a stay in Ramsgate. We loved; 1. The location: directly on the marina. We were worried that this would mean it was noisy as we were right next to a few bars but we were at the back of the hotel and even with the window open it was quiet. We loved stepping out the door and being directly next to the marina. 2. The staff: everyone was very welcoming and friendly. The hotel should be proud of the staff and the service they provide. 3. The breakfast: really great selection for a good price. The food was very good quality, including very nice bright yolked eggs. 4. The bathroom: Again, very simple but the water was lovely and hot and the toiletries were nice. 5. The room: Nice and spacious with a comfortable bed.

I asked my 9 year old daughter if she had any criticisms. The only thing she could think of was that perhaps the wardrobe was a bit short if a very tall person wanted to hang a jumpsuit up :'). As I didn't have a very long jumpsuit to hang up, I will say that there is nothing to dislike about The Oak. It's perfect if you are looking for somewhere clean and friendly to stay in Ramsgate.

It was a very good location for us. Unfortunately there is only a very small car park across the road which cost us £17.50 for 24hrs.

We didn't like the bath /shower it was quite slippery and water leaked all over the floor which made another slip hazard.

The hotel is right on the harbour front, 2 doors away from the party we were attending. The room was lovely and big, had a fan at no extra cost. There was a sash window that we could ipen to get some fresh air.

The bathroom had a bit of a fusty smell but nithing that would ruin anyones stay.

Brilliant location and reasonable price. Didnt use the bar but there appeared to be quite a few people eating and drinking so probably good. The room itself had plenty of space and had the potential to be great, but could do with a little updating.

Room was too hot, couldn't leave the window open as right next to an industrial fan/vent thing not sure what it was but was very noisy). There was a little desk fan in the room but did little good. Upon check-out two staff at the desk, neither seemed interested in our departure, which is a shame as the young girl who checked us in previously was very good at her job and friendly.

Awful noise coming from some machine operating throughout the night. We were told by reception it would stop at 10pm but it didn't. We couldn't sleep. The room 310, though reasonably equipped and clean, was stuffy and we didn't open the window (overlooking a poky yard full of pipes) because of the horrendeous noise. We were warned about the nightclubs but they were not the problem at all.
