Very beautiful boutique hotel with a delicious breakfast!

I had to leave prior to breakfast being served.

I couldn't get to my car as the gates were locked at the time I needed to leave. Frustrating as it made me very late for a business appointment. Particularly annoying as I had explained that I had to be away by 6.30am.

Clean, comfy, cozy, nice big bathroom and shower/tub, all amenities, quiet, easy check-in/check-out, responsive staff, attractive venue. Super breakfast in charming garden-room, nice pub. Lovely garden w/table service. Good, easy, safe, free parking. Lovely village. Big comfy bed. Authentic English village atmosphete. Pleasant helpful staff.

Be sure to get a detailed, on-site, in-person tutorial on how to operate the weird fixture that regulates the water flow in the shower/tub. No iron.

The staff in general were friendly only to the degree they needed to be. Breakfast when i asked for just the bacon and tomato i got 2 streaky rashers and half a tomato. Restaurant booked for second night table by log fire. arrived no fire. Why? we have run out of kindling - what a joke. same again next night when we looked in. We wanted to go 2 nights but were told same menu. 4/5 starters and 4/5 mains only so went to the pub. more i could say but ...Sorry to say a very disappointing stay.
