The set up of the resort is very nice. The buildings and furniture is a bit older. The staff is absolutely great

The rooms were old and not well maintained. The buffet food was awful and if I was given a choice I wouldn’t have chosen half board. Considering the cost of the room rate which was approx. $250 it was definitely NOT good value. I could have got a 5* hotel in London or Dubai for that. I was really disappointed because it was my first time to El Gouna and I expected more from a Movenpick resort. I will definitely come to El Gouna again but NOT to the Movenpick

Room door lock broke down 2 times while trying to open it for sure they helped us with new key but it should be fixed permanently.

It’s my most favourite places in Gouna. I love its beach, the pools and the variety of restaurants 🥰

Food varities and taste are very good for both breakfast and dinner . Staff are very professional and friendly.

My request of a breakfast box to take at noon was denied because it should be done a day before. I was in an early snorkeling trip on last day and asked for that box to take at checkout. It was very strange to deny the ability of the kitchen to do that trivial task.

Great views of the lagoon, beach and pool, fantastic selection of food, friendly staff, very clean, amazing services and facilities

Spa was overpriced and not very good

Everything was great. We had a free upgrade to a sea view family room, complementary fruit, and snacks were provided as well. The hotel is huge and clean, loved the SPA and gym also lagoons were awesome, and the children enjoyed swimming there a lot. The italian restaurant was great atmosphere and food as well.

I like everything in this property. People in the reception desk are very helpful especially Hesham who made his best to make our stay comfortable in a very genuine and professional way. Rooms are well decorated with a unique lighting system. The food was tasty and the main restaurant area is outstanding it makes you feel like you have traveled far away. Restaurants managers was very welcoming especially Mohammad and Yasser. Swimming in this property was unforgettable especially in the lagoon area. I highly recommend it and definitely coming back.

Although I had a short stay, however, it was extremely friendly, I traveled with my wife and we had too much fun, the hotel is huge, the staff was super friendly, the management was very flexible, and I was having special requests for my room and they had all things done as agreed and on time, the food is very nice with too many varieties.
