The space ,the modern feel

It was too hot was unsure how to change heating . We were here the night of our wedding , I did make the company aware of this special occasion, a little extra bottle of fizz or something would have been nice.

Location could not be better. Good to have a secure car park, although a bit of a tight squeeze for larger cars/vans

Mattress on the bed was a bit lumpy

An exception location with wonderful views from every room of our apartment.

Shower was scalding hot, the fridge did not work and the toilet continued flushing after use..and the anti slip bath mat was a joke. I registered my complaint in the morning at reception and was then told to email it in, which I did 2 weeks ago and after one phone call to them about this a week ago when I was told that they would sort it out immediately I have heard nothing..£117 per night? Rip off

Great location , beautiful period building.

Property is very tired and badly needs upgrading especially as title states mansions and smiths advertising on it states 4 star upgrade accommodation is available. Broken tiles all over bathroom floor , kitchen tiles moving. Adjoining lounge carpet needs renewed door lock broke no outside seating as doorway is within restaurant grounds could easily be sectioned off to allow the feeling of detachment from restaurant beer garden . A struggle to get air in front room as we could only just manage to open one window with a great deal of force and we are all builders. @ £700 for 2 nights we feel we were really let down with the overall condition of this property. Which is a shame as I said location excellent and building itself is a top period building and hopefully the owners take my constructive criticism and do the building a bit of justice. I own a similar building ( home with a view Moffat) and encourage the owners to take a look at this also advertised on booking.com . To see exactly what this old girl could be.

They thought of everything

Some people do not respect reserved parking, twice we returned to find somebody had parked in our space. As parking is sparse this was a problem

It is very clean and spacious and very central….

The Knightstone which we have just stayed in has the lounge, dining room and kitchen in one room….and it is also situated at the front of the property where you can here the pedestrian crossing continuously….

Good location. A tidy 2 up, 2 down cottage rather than an apartment. Comfortable for a short break.

It's a little tired. A coat of paint would tidy it up a bit. Kitchen is tiny and no window. Not a problem though just for a 2 night stay.

Clean and comfortable .Excellent sea view and large open room to maneuver wheel chair.Parking a bonus.Concerns were met with quickly and friendly.

I understand why the daily service was not available due to Covid even though the cost was still that of a serviced apartment.Because of losses in the hospitality sector this seemed a fair thing to do.However instructions for use of equipment which normally a client wouldn’t need to use would have helped.I’m sure that had I asked I would have received the information I required but there’s a limit to how often you want to run down the road for info.

The noise from outside road The blinds at the window didn’t work down stairs Lamp on lounge didn’t work Shower temperature stuck and couldn’t be moved The mattress in the bed you could feel the spring The single easy chair in lounge was in poor condition- not what we expected as stared quality Decor was dark especially downstairs

The apartment was more than an apartment. With a lovely kitchen..an upstairs with a light airy bedroom and a large skylighted bathroom.

If we had had longer

Property was in an excellent location. We stayed in the the Birbeck apartment which although it had a fantastic view involved going up a lot of stairs which when you have a young baby and a lot of luggage isn’t ideal.

The tv aerial didn’t work very well and the signal was poor. The batteries in the remotes had Gone flat. Although I had messaged the property for this to be rectified I didn’t hear anything back from them and it wasn’t sorted. It was also disappointing to find crumbs under a chair when we moved it especially given the importance of cleanliness in today’s climate.

We stayed in fisherman's cottage, fantastic place, exceptionally clean, cosy, warm and comfortable, lovely place to stay with the bonus of secure parking.
