The location was perfect and we had a lovely sea view. The bed was comfortable.

The room was quite small and basic. The bathroom was very small, dated, and unclean. The breakfast was very salty.

Lovely clean welcoming hotel. We stayed in room 2 sea front bedroom. Modern room with a modern bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice and tasty. Great location with a nice promenade to walk on. Plenty of free car parking at the hotel.

It was hot in the room so we opened the window , but could get noisy with passing traffic as on a main road. Small attention to detail … room was cleaned but dirty mugs were not changed or cleaned.

Everything , staff were very welcoming and friendly, extremely helpful. Food was outstanding 👌

The complete offering from this hotel was absolutely perfect. We had a superb two night stay where we were made welcome by all the staff. The food in the restaurant was exceptional, both breakfast and dinner. Our room was well equipped with stunning sea views. It was an absolute pleasure to stay at the South Sands and this is due to the quality of everything they do.

Lovely hotel, our room no. 17 was enormous, triple aspect with 3 sea views and a bath! Lived the touches of free tea, coffee, biscuits & toiletries. All very fresh & clean! Excellent restaurant downstairs, we stayed B&B & the breakfast was outstanding & tasty. They have a great choice and are very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Only 1 little thing the bed could do with a 1 inch memory foam topper so you don't feel the springs. Otherwise everything else was first class! Thanks for lovely stay!

Located overlooking the sea, i had a huge seaview room for 2 nights, which was amazing. Food both for breakfast and dinner was fantastic. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

stayed on for an extra night and was put in a small double bedroom which was not as good as first room.

Everything from food to a comfy room with a stunning view and all the staff were lovely.

Nice quiet location close to the sea, the eating areas are nicely finished and good selection of food and drinks. The breakfast was lovely and good value for money.

We were in the annex, decor a little tired and main front door didn’t lock so didn’t feel safe. The bed in room 19 was beyond uncomfortable and sadly this affected our weekend as we had a busy one planned with our son and grandson but we’re just too tired on Sunday to properly enjoy it after a night of limited sleep.

Great location just out of town big car park with cameras, breakfast at 7.45 ideal for working away .

Shower facilities need attention and Wi-fi system was not working.

Welcoming and helpful staff. We wanted some variations to the breakfasts and the staff were very accommodating. The dinner was good and value for money.

The only minor issues were that the wardrobe door in Room 14 didn't open easily as it was too near an electric socket and there were no hand towels in the room just 2 bath towels.

Everyone was super friendly and the location was close to the beach. Breakfast was amazing.

The bed was not the most comfortable so did not have a good sleep.

The restaurant was very good

Mattress old with springs sticking through, black mould in shower, no mirror over washhand basin in shower room, no washand basin in toilet therefore likely bacteria on all door handles, room needed decorating and some pictures on walls. Furniture needs updating, room was in a converted bungalow with stairs that were dangerous ("going" is the minimum depth for a domestic property), toilet seat needs replacing, electrical outlets behind drawer unit which to be pulled out to use appliances. I took more photos but can't attach them.

The hotel is clean, fresh and the staff are very friendly. The food is great aswell. Free parking is always a good.

The walls are very thin you can hear everything the other rooms are doing. Plus we had a couple have a massive argument at 4am which kept us up whilst they was shouting!

Great stay at South Sands again ,been 4 times in last 12 months ,it’s so good . Great location on the beach and very quiet ,great walks and only 2 miles from Weston . Great room with sea view ,breakfast excellent and staff very friendly .

No shower when the room description says shower, the water pressure is very poor. took 20 minutes to run a bath. can feel the springs in the mattress. I left 2 shirts in the cupboard (my own fault), took 2 days of repeated calling to finally get a reply back to be told there is nothing in the room. 100% left them there.

Shower luke warm. Noisy stay on 2nd night with a party going on somewhere. Springs felt in bed, room tiny, wardrobe broken. Had cheek to charge £2.40 for bottled water in the room. A few staff were grumpy. No atmosphere at all. Luke warm tea and coffee, no chopped fruit, little choice, everything on the menu was smoked. Poor quality produce, hard poached eggs, run out of hollandaise sauce but didn't offer an alternative breakfast it was brought to us with an apology no sauce. Had to ask for jug of juice to be refilled and if you wanted more tea/coffee.
