Location is probley only good thing about our stay

The place was cold in the bathroom was rotten boards by shower not very good was a cold evening when we got there at 11pm 3 windows were wide open

The email I got afterwards claiming my payment card had not made the payment despite the money going out of my account. They tried to say that my debit card was the problem but in the booking.com blurb it stated credit card eftpos (debit) cash. On further thought maybe this email was a con as I have proof themoney left my account. The bathroom was a problem being so small, but I made do and worked with what I got.

The rooms had plenty of space to move around in.

This was a second time staying at Southern Comfort and we were just as impressed as the first time. Great location, friendly staff and a super comfortable room! The modern bathrooms are a personal fave! Thank you!

The pictures provided does not represent the rooms you get...ours was run down old and worn the shower and kitchen facilities was not as nice as the picture. Very disappointing. Lucky only stayed for 1 night Cutlery was dirty too.

Close to town. Spacious. Great hot water

The room was so noisy, ( we were told by staff it would not be noisy at night), however, the Boy racers and cop sirens went on till near 3 am. A single bed was situated over wardrobe in 2nd room, had to move to hang clothes in the wardrobe, this room had a door adjoining another unit, it adjoined to a bathroom/toilet, the smell and the noise coming through from the toilet was not enjoyable! Forks are so cheap, they bend when using them!

Easy to find hotel, close to shops, restaurants and bus stop to town center. It is about 20 minutes walking time to the center. The room was clean, bed comfortable and plenty of hot water in the shower. It had all we needed.

Room was quite dated and nothing like the pictures (actually our room was the very last picture). It felt quite cheap. The hotplate couldn't reach the plug so had to find an extension. Not a lot of parking for the amount of rooms. No Aircon the one Fan wasn't enough for 2 Rooms so we had windows open all day and night but it was quite noisy with constructions next door. Once all rooms are renovated it should be much better.

Studio room was perfect for a solo stay. Room was clean. Everything you needed supplied for a couple of nights. Good heating.

- location is convenient - room is large - comes with spa pool - everything clean and tidy - large tabletop for cooking

- the bathroom is always wet, even after we went our for the whole day and come back, the floor and anything we hang for drying are still wet - no wardrobe or similar facilities for hanging clothes, a bit inconvenient - the heater is a bit weak, there is heating mat on bed so it's fine when sleeping, but when not in bed, sometimes it's a bit cold (we come from warmer places so not used to this) there is no partition/screening between the living room and spa pool area, a bit of privacy issue, and steam will go all over the living area

The noise coming from a room above at 1.30am. Yelling. Then woken again at about 4.30 with the woman screaming at the guy. On talking with my neighnbours next morning they had yelled out to them at about midnight to shut up. I mentioned this noise to management on checking out. Not their fault. Made for an unpleasant stay

Offered everything we were looking for as had lots of plans to catch up with friends and family so only needed a comfy, warm room, which we had. Other options gave other options if required.

Had a slight problem with the door but was quickly rectified.

Spacious rooms complete with everything you require. Repeat customers and always very happy with the rooms. Great kitchen facilities, heating, electric blankets, fans, everything you may need. Hint: if you have lots of luggage don't book an upstairs unit.

The room was clean and tidy.

It was noted on my booking that my room had stove. There was an empty gap where one had once been. I was relying on a stove to cook my evening meals on. Eventually I found a portable twin hot plate (not a stove) in a cupboard. The owner phoned me asking for $100 deposit before I had left to fly there. I paid the $100 expecting that to come off the total amount. When I checked in I was told that the $100 was a bond for any damage and that I still had to pay the full amount. I would get the bond back when I checked out. I was annoyed that this was not stipulated in the advertising of the room - it was only after I had booked that the bond was mentioned and I had to go hunting for it in the terms and conditions - this was unacceptable as I had budgeted on a certain amount and would not have an enough for food - I ended up having to use other funds that had been allocated for something else to use to eat.

Great location and nice facilities with great friendly hosts, would stay again , had two different units as booked an extra night at short notice, but your family units are exceptional and worth the money . Thank you.
