Great value for money

As the motel is Pet friendly, I'd of liked the area to be somewhat protected from the road i.e. secure gating around the side of the motel so that when you let your dog out of the back door to go for a wee at night time, they can't run round the side, onto the front and onto the road potentially

I liked the location. I like it that we could take our pet.

The manager (or owner?) was rude. No-one was there when we arrived at 3:40pm, and we phoned the person on the phone number on the window. The worker told us she was not aware of our booking, wouldn’t be coming to greet us for 20 minutes as she was ‘getting dinner’. Most units had their doors open, keys in door, with cleaning trolley & equipment/vacuum outside (which stayed this way over night). I asked the person if we could be given a unit in her absence to be told that wasn’t possible & she has yet to confirm we even had a booking (when in fact we’d already paid). We were tired and disappointed we had to wait that long, no apology nothing). We were provided no milk. The unit we got was clean & tidy - except for the dirty flannel of a previous guest still in the shower (which made us feel a bit sick).

A great place to stay. Manager Faith gave us exceptional service and looked after us so well. Owner Tim also great came in to make sure we were comfortable. Already booked same room for Kaikoura Hop next year. Highly recommended.

There was nothing we didn't like ..... except the big black spider we met in the back yard. Lol

the bed was comfy and unit was clean and the shower was great. The young woman in the office was very helpful

There was no tea towel, no plug in the bathroom sink, the windows and outside furniture were dirty, the fridge needed levelling as was wobbly - the grounds/gardens were neglected. Very noisy part of town with traffic/trucks

Location was very noisy ! Heater was pathetic on such a cold day! Locks on doors broken ! Lock on windows broken!

Great location and good to find a pet friendly motel - they are still hard to find

The beds were comfortable. The shower was a decent size. Pet friendly.

The bottom of the shower was not clean in the grooves. Paid a pet cleaning fee but the couch had dog hair from the previous peoples stay. A very old faded, frayed arm chair unnecessarily put in an already crowded room. Cutlery all mismatched. It looked like someone had furnished it from a secondhand shop in the 90’s. It wouldn’t take much to tidy this room up.
