The guests were great, that’s about it.

There was no elevator in the building, the food was mediocre & overpriced, I would avoid at all costs. The last night of my trip, unruly guests joined my room and caused damage to my shoes as well as were very noisy. One of the gentleman even had his entire behind out. I checked out early to avoid confrontation and told the staff. They did not seem to care.

Shower and bathroom same Room with no shower curtain and no way to dry the floor after. Dorm a little sterile. Not so cozy

Breakfast was very good

The staircase is very narrow and small. Would be ideal to have a lift or system to get your luggage up the stairs

Shower can be more short people friendly, the hangers were too high for me to reach

The location is front of the entrance of Wondelpark. Easy to reach everywhere in Amsterdam because of close to tram lines. I like bar and the cozy atmosphere in it.

Well the main entrance’s stairs and the doors are made for tiny people. Even I can call myself a small guy I can’t fit them.

music was so loud until about 3am every night and people would be outside my window speaking really loudly at all hours of the night which made it difficult to sleep through the night

Very long stairs Rooms didn’t had AC and it was really hot. They had fans but it was not enough, it was discomfort able to be in the room

I loved this hostel! It was a nice quiet neighborhood near a park, but lively hostel where it was easy to meet people at breakfast, happy hour, or other events. I was traveling with two friends and we made some great friends while at the Flying Pig. The lockable storage boxes under each bed are the perfect size for a small suitcase and a backpack, which helps keep the rooms neat. I was in a 10 person room and it did not feel cramped! The sink in the room is nice for teeth brushing. Good breakfast!

I didn't dislike this, but be warned that stairs are steep and narrow (though that's all of Amsterdam) and rooms are multiple floors up--don't bring a huge suitcase!
