As a local it was great . Things do need up dating in the apartment. Out door setting could do with a coat of paint . Painting in the main bedroom are extremely low to the head. All in all we loved it and would stay again .

The location was fantastic.

As there are so many photos of various different apartments you do not know which one you might get. The one we got i guess was not the best so a little disappointed. But still a nice enough view.

When you travel, you don’t expect to turn up and need to clean the fridge and the benchtops. The Aquarius Apartments is clearly not a modern building and has a lot of competition. So when you are renting an apartment, you need to present it as well as it can beand it could’ve been presented a lot better. Unfortunately, this was not my experience. The fridge was off, someone else’s defrosted food in the freezer, food scraps in the fridge and ants throughout . lf it had been cleaned, the cleaner would have realised it was off, therefore, I had to wonder what else was not cleaned. It was off as we discovered because the fuse had tripped in the meter box. It was a premium apartment, well it was promoted as such…. but rusty laundry trough, water damage to cupboards, limited soap supply for three night stay, minimal dishwashing supplies. In the lounge room, you either sit in full light or dark because there’s no soft lighting and no globe in the wall light fitting . On the mezzanine level where the pool is located there was discarded building material left dangerously along the path. The door to the balcony makes an irritating screech every time you open it. In the laundry cupboard were discarded chocolate wrappers and in the bedroom the plaster wall under the window was clearly not attached to the structure. One of the toilets had a very bad brown stain on the lid of the seat and around the rim of the seat, which clearly again had not been cleaned. When I rang to cancel two of my three nights, initially, I was told that my complaint wasn’t valid until I objected strongly and ultimately it was agreed that I be refunded for the final two nights. Booked instead at Flynns, a modern apartment complex down the road. It was very disappointing that this apartment which had a lot to offer given its size and view of the ocean, disrespected the guests who booked.

Room 77 was advertised as having modern finishes but it looked to have been built in the early 90’s with no maintenance having been done since. All the kitchen cabinet doors were crooked & didn’t close, plastic from the oven was melted onto the floor. The taps didn’t work in the main bathroom sink & tiles were loose with missing grout. Curtains were broken & dangling from rods so were unable to be closed. Both bathrooms had laminate peeling off the cabinets. Main bedroom window had a cavity with no sill. We complained about these things & the misleading “modern” description when the clothes dryer didn’t work & almost caught fire when we tried to use it. The dryer was replaced but no acknowledgment was made about the false advertising & nothing else was fixed.

Security system was antiquated, process to arrive and leave was terrible. Information about the Aquarius was not great.

Location and views from the verandah.

1. The guest room a/c was faulty and no attempts were made to repair inspite of reporting immediately on arrival of our 7 nights stay. 2. The accommodations lacks repair, upkeep and maintenance. The bedrrom windows have no sills and there is a major gaping hole between the wall and window frame making it a major health and safety hazard for the guests. It is an awkward lack of attention to basic standards of the property. 3. No vacuum cleaner or proper clean brush to clean up the property at departure, though leaving conditions warrant a tidy and clean place. A likely $100 fee leviable in case the property is left unclean and tidy! 4. Lack of basic supplies like garbage bag, garbage bins and cleaning supplies. 5. Power tripped once for no reason. 5. Lack of communication from the hosts. Phones and messages remain unanswered.

Excellent location - right on the front with the night-market and restaurants within 5 minute walk. The hotel has a pool but the Cairns lagoon is a very short walk just over the road and is a great place to swim. We enjoyed watching the parrots and bats from teh balcony in the evenings.

Very hard to fault. The window-board in the 2nd bedroom hadn't been finished after the recent window replacements. The air-con exhausts made the balcony incomfortable to use unless you turned them off.

Loved the location. One side on the flat faced the sea, and the other side faced the ocean. Leaving the building from the front, the apartment block is the start of all the restaurants, so well situated. The apartment was clean and spacious with everything you need from laundry area, two showers, and bathrooms. Towel and spare pillows available. The kitchen had everything you need. Secure underground carpark helped. The pool was small but lovely to cool down in. Shaded in the afternoon. Worth a visit.

The grumpy lady on reception, she didn't smile once and was rude and unhelpful.

Great views of the water and the mountains. Location was on the Esplanade which is where all the restaurants and shops are. It’s close to the airport and all then sightseeing locations (reef terminal and Kuranda Skyrail). Such good value for money! 2 bedroom and 2 bathrooms, air conditioned and huge!

It could have been cleaner. There were some stains on the sheets. The furniture was also very old and looked a little dirty from all the wear, so I can’t tell how clean it is. We also couldn’t find a coffee maker. Would have been nice to have bottles of water too. It felt like a hotel but also an airbnb so would have been nice to have the bonus of water and coffee maker.

this is one of the best property’s in cairns. really central the views are just incredible the staff that mange the building were fantastic we will def try to get this same place again the property has everything you need everything was spotless and perfect we were so happy.

the property has all the latest amenities tv in each room great AC and just a really clean large 2 bedroom apartment. parking was so easy as it was provided.
