Spacious comfortable rooms with all standard must have amenities. The owners came across as really nice and friendly people, taking the hospitality level a notch above.

Owners were so accommodating they couldn't do enough to make the stay as perfect as possible. The room was spotless , breakfast was so fresh and presented impeccably. The location was fantastic, literally a couple of minutes walk from the market town. We asked for something special for our wedding anniversary, and boy, did we get it. Highly recommended, and we will be visiting again really soon.

We would definetly stay at Ferndene again.

Approach and location are excellent. Property is clean, roomy & warm and functional. Hosts are an asset as they are genuinely happy to be amongst their guests, and have a genuine interest in what they're doing during their stay.

Access was a little tight in places but this can't really be helped due to the nature of the building. Bed was very comfortable, however a choice of harder pillows would have been much appreciated.

The staff were lovely and accomodating. Everything was clean and the breakfast provided was great!

The location was brilliant for the town centre and walks. breakfast was fresh and the hosts very friendly.

We were in the annex. Flickering light in the hallway (husband suffers from light induced migraines). Radiator in the hallway not working. The bed was uncomfortable and there was a real problem with condensation in the room and subsequent mold around the windows which I do think they probably tried to keep on top off but … entrance to the actual guest house was through the back door and on entrance to this the smell of dog urine and cleaning products was overpowering. Could also here everything from the adjoining rooms.

Breakfast, you had to fill in a form the night before by 8pm for your selection which was a cooked breakfast and cereal as I do not really like cooked breakfast there was not enough choice for me no fruit, yogurt or pastries ie croissants there were also a 30 min time limit for breakfast 8.30 to 9.00 am it should be longer. The television was the size of a laptop And the most annoying one We booked a car parking space. When we arrived it had been given to someone else that had just turned up on the last minute and we had been booked in around 6 months before.

The property was very clean and welcoming. The new owners or managers very pleasant and eager to please. Breakfast had a limited choice but great quality.

Slightly better choice for breakfast would have been appreciated. The stairs to the suite very steep although great views once you’re there. It’s not a power shower as per details.

The B&B was in a great location. Only a short walk to the centre. The room was clean and comfortable. A good choice of breakfast options. Friendly hosts.

Although we managed to get parked on the street, parking could be an issue if you didn't get it booked with the accomodation.
