Lovely villa. So relaxing and peaceful. Perfect for a weekend getaway to just relax. Breakfast was lovely. Spa is available and recommend the ayurvedic massage. Staff was so accommodative. Great weekend experience.

Sergeant House is a beautiful boutique hotel in a lovely renovated historic (colonial style) building. With its own private beach across the road and just minutes away from bustling Unawatuna, the location is excellent. The hotel is set back from the road in lush tropical grounds - road noise was not a problem at all. Chathuri is a wonderful host, so helpful with every request, and the staff are all great. The rooms are lovely - really spacious and beautifully appointed. Highly recommended.

The Sergeant House is an ensemble of buildings built in classical Sri Lankan architecture, with high-quality furniture typical of the country and lovingly designed, very appealing decoration in all areas of the complex. Although the original building is very old, it leaves nothing to be desired in terms of modern, contemporary comfort. The rooms are furnished and equipped down to the smallest detail. The lush tropical garden is well maintained and offers a sheltered Jacuzzi area and other quiet seating areas. The pool is elegantly blended into the grounds and offers a sort of jungle feeling when swimming. The really private small but nice beach offers sunny and shady spots on a nice lawn. As the hotel does not have many rooms, there was always a very private, quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are personable, friendly and well trained. The very nice, competent manager of the hotel Chanthuri is always available for her guests and was always a good help with any questions. The tuktuk drivers and masseurs she arranges are also highly recommended. There was nothing to complain about. I would happily come back anytime.

The place is absolutelly gorgeous! We loved every second of our stay in there. Great location, secluded in the jungle but with the privát beach right across the road and 500 m from party place) Chief made a beautiful dinner for our special night! Servis was amazing, rooms are clean and nicely decorated. We Felt like home) Deffinately reccomended! Or not, because we are coming back really soon and want to keeo it for us!)))

The staff was very helpful and efficient. The look of the property is outstanding. We had excellent local food. the property is an oasis of peace with a wonderful pool. Would love to visit again. Special mention should go to the property manager who helped us greatly through our stay

Though to say what we didn't like. Perhaps wish there was a whole day access to the kitchen and room service. we booked with a kid and they didn’t mention our room would have steep spiral staircase -next time we will book a different room0 But overall a great place we will come back

This place is a true gem, with beautiful interiors and amazing pool. The staff is not only professional but extra helpful and friendly. I loved how peaceful it was, thanks to big garden and impressive plants and trees. Highly recommended!
