Honestly just stayed for a really short night. Arrived around 11PM and left around 6:30 AM. Really clean hostel, good location sort of intimate and private in a quiet area. Didn't spend much time exploring but have save the spit for next time.

No proper parking (even though you can park freely on the street)...and didn't stay longer to evaluate daily life there. Also my 6 female room/dorm was half full and I didn't understand why I was put on the top bed bunk ?...while two others bottom one were empty, especially my bed bunk was free. I mean it's just one night but after a whole day driving from Coffs Harbour...you might need to have your surroundings ready to jump in straight and never get down your bed again. I'm not complaining, have lived in hostel over 3 years doing farmwork, just want to understand the logic behind certain things 😅

Good location, short walk to the beach, amenities are nice and clean.

Wifi wasn't working

Lovely hostel and lovely owner. Very pleasant vibe, we felt comfortable and enjoyed staying here. Would definitely come back.

The hostel has an extremely relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It has been taken over recently, and fortunately it seems the new owner is keen to maintain this... The location is great, just 5 minutes walk from the bus stop, supermarket and shops, the library, and perhaps 10 minutes from the beach. The kitchen is super big and organised, and is generally kept clean. There is a great outdoor social space, as well as indoor couches (closed at night, unfortunately). The rooms are nicely spaced out, with plenty of floor area for bags etc. The lockers are big enough for all your small items including laptops etc. There are individual plugs either at or close to every bed. The showers were fairly hot and pressure good.

The fact that there is no WiFi outside the reception and common room, (and even there it's laughably slow), is a big issue. Coupled with the fact that there is little to no 4g coverage in the area either, this is really concerning. It's 2023, so grandad phrases such as 'make a friend instead' don't work anymore... Installing a fast WiFi connection which reaches everywhere is a fairly easy process (the library down the road did it), so I really hope this is a top priority for the new owner.... The shower toilet block is outdoors, so getting there in the rain is a little bit complicated. The rooms have no ac.

Just everything. So far best hostel I've ever stayed at! Met amazing people, the manger and the staff are like your family They helped me and my friend above and beyond!

Nice Hostel for a few nights, spacious, friendly staff and guests, and comfortable beds with enough plugs in the room and great decorations.

The common room smelled of cigarettes, because people used to smoke right next to the open doors.

The atmosphare was great.

Maybe it was only during the days that we stayed, but on both nights there was loud music until late in the night, which didn't allow us to sleep. There is not much space like shelves in the rooms so luggage/personal items were all over the floor. Sinks at the shared bathrooms need a renovation. Important! Wifi was not working properly due to overcrowded network.
