After the bustling cities, I foung myself in paradise. It's the perfect place to exhale and relax, and also, of course, to explore the national nature park. But besides the proximity to the park, the hotel itself owns a large and beautiful area where you can stroll in the evening. The view of the valley is simply marvellous! The room with lotus pond view is quiet, spacious and comfortable, with everything you need and even a tea set with local meicha tea. You can hardly see or hear the neighbours. The people working at this hotel do everything they can to make guests feel welcome and comfortable, excellent level of customer care. Two guys with excellent English will help with any little things, organise a trip to the park, and answer any questions. I will definitely come back here again with my family.

The Valley Lodge is a super recovery spot after long days of nature and hiking. They gave us an upgrade to a better room with bathtub on the balcony - which was super cool! Rain always welcomed us at the entrance and helped us with booking tickets for the scenic areas and shuttles. The service was excellent! Also all the other staff was super friendly and attentive. In the evening they sang some Zhangjiajie Folksongs specially just for us. We loved it there and didn‘t want to go - you should stay there for at least 4-5 days to have enough time for the national park, mountains and enjoying the hotel! The food was also really good, especially the hot pot. They also gave us a little tea tasting and you can join some group events in the morning no matter if it is off-season or season time. The view from their heated infinitiy pool was breathtaking and you can easily recharge your energy there. The valley lodge is very close to the entrance for experience the Avatar Hallelujah Mountains and is less crowded than other entrance. We were tthere without a guide and could find everything very easy. Rain brought us directly there and helped us translating at the ticket counter. All over was it one of my best experience there in Zhangjiajie and you will never forget the great service and the breathtaking, amazing views of the national forest. (In 4 days we saw: Avatar Hallelujah Mountains, Tianzi Mountain, Tianmen Mountain, Baofeng Lake and the Glass Bridge)

Everything was exceptional. I’ve never felt so cared for at a hotel and I travel quite a bit. From arrangements made to visit parks, to an unbelievably good breakfast and dinner! Try the duck, it’s fantastic.

The lodge was beautiful, scenic, and had a great blend of an old remote village for its peacefulness and simplicity but also modern comfort. The staff were friendly and really helpful. Rain, the receptionist, helped us plan everything thing and bought our tickets which enabled us to see all the key spots within our stay. The food was also really good - did not need to go out into town and we were absolutely happy to have the dinners at the lodge everynight, though I recommend trying 1 or 2 spots in town during your stay.

Maybe the bacon at breakfast, but that's me trying hard to find something to write here :)

Rooms were lovely and very comfy beds. Beautiful location. Super friendly and helpful staff.

The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. there was a real family feel. Rain was such an awesome host! He was very helpful in arranging our trips into the national Forest. Then he set up the hot tub each evening for us to enjoy the awesome views with our kids. The beds were super comfortable and we enjoyed having a fire cute fire place to snuggle up as a family. The food was great and they were very accommodating for our picky eaters 😀. Highly recommend and we would definitely stay again.

Location was great. Prefect for a quiet retreat. Food was tasty and decent servings(average 50kuai/dish). Infinity pool was fantastic. Views from the pool and from our room were beautiful and peaceful. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Particularly, Frankie. He was extremely friendly, very accommodating. We even got a free upgrade. Frankie was also very helpful with any questions we had and knowable about the park. He helped with free transfers to and from the park, also took us to get covid tests when we needed them. His english was excellent too.

The property needs some maintenance work done.

Amazing view and great service especially from Frankie who gave us exceptional hospitality. He even helped up even after we had checked out.
