The room was spacious, had a private balcony and the location was convenient.
There was a very old heater in the room (no heat pump) which was very loud and kept turning off every 5 mins we didn’t feel safe leaving it on when we weren’t there which in winter isn’t ideal. There was mould in the bathroom and on the window sills that we cleaned some of. Our friends however had a different room which had a heat pump and no mould, I have also stayed before and had a nicer room.

Spacious and comfortable room. Walking distance to the city center with many eateries. Parking convenience.

The space, good size for 5 people.
The smell! We walked in and it smelt like period or very damp towels. Not sure what it was, aired out the place but it still smelt.

The cleaner came into my room while I was in the bath.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. The motel was very central to everything we wanted to do and the man in the office was polite and efficient.
I was disappointed that the curtains on the window facing the carpark were missing hall their hooks and couldn’t be drawn properly + the ice box in the fridge was so full of ice we couldn’t put anything in it.

The Belmont Motor Inn was a great value for the cost. Good location just a 15 minute walk from downtown. Nice to have easy parking. Room was spacious and the deck was nice and sunny.
The room is a little run down.

The unit was large with comfortable chairs and a sofa. Very modern bathroom with a good shower and a lovely spa bath.
Good bench space in the kitchen for food prep. Effective air conditioning. Being in Christchurch for 8 days it was great to have a large, centrally located motel unit with good access to multiple venues.
Two of my bug bears:
- no microwave suitable dishes
- no hooks to hang clothes in the bathroom
and the loan DVD player was not very good quality

comfortable. Heating if needed. parking. Owner helpful. I ordered breakfast each day. very impressed what was delivered.
The only thing which needed sorting was the door curtains. I’m sure the owner would have sorted it if I told him.

Comfortable beds, very clean even though older room. The staff were so helpful and stayed up late for us as our plane was late.

The room was very sunny in the afternoon. The bed was comfortable & warm & the shower had good pressure.
A heat pump would be great, also a heater in the bathroom . The hairdryer was broken so I bought one. Also the tv settings had been broken by previous customers & we had to get the manager to sort it for us.

Tvs didn't work. Curtains off tracks. Shower taped up on the floor. Dirty reception area. No flannels in one room. Only enough tea bags for 2 people.

The owners were super helpful and friendly. Our unit was comfortable, warm and very clean. Was close to the city and there was a dairy a few steps away. Would stay here again
Only thing that comes to mind is the signage outside could have been a bit bigger so that it was easy to notice given the amount of motels on this street.

location and manager/proprietor was friendly and helpful.
our upstairs accomodation was very dated, well worn and desperately needed a decent clean. Gunge around basin plug hole, large silverfish in shower, gunk over sides of towel rail, all towels were well worn and looked unclean and the linen was the same. Long black hair found in bed and kitchen. Electrical switch boards provided due to lack of power points were very old.

Good location with respect to airport - easy to navigate to and from. Comfortable beds. Good heating.
Did not feel 'clean' eg the 'white' towels (bath and tea towels) were grey from not being laundered correctly, mold in the silicon in shower. Room was not set-up as requested (beds in separate rooms) we had to do this ourselves, salt & pepper shakers empty and not filled even though we left them on the bench, tops off.
