The staff were friendly, breakfast inclusion, a wide selection for breakfast, beautiful scenery around the B&B

Upon arriving, they said bag storage was on an external shelf, which felt unsafe. The dorm I stayed in had black mould all over the ceilings. Same for the bathroom. Even though the room was cool, you have to run the AC in order to breathe because of the musky mould and lack of ventilation but you don’t have enough blankets to keep you warm as they provided only one paper thin and undersized blanket. The bathroom and dorm both smelt musky and difficult to breathe and sleep because they hadn’t been aired out, intensifying the mould. All of the windows were obscured louvres so you could see the beautiful jungle around. The louvres were also partially broken, making it difficult to open. The beds had dirt all over. The bed mattress was old, worn and only less than 50mm thick in the centre so all you could feel was the hard bed base. When using the bathroom basin & shower, the waster water would appear out of the ground floor, filling up the room with soap suds, dirty water and leaving a muskier smell than what was already there. The Wifi doesn’t work. There were hundred of ants all over the breakfast table and the staff didn’t care to keep them away from the food. Staff didn’t bother to top up the small jug of OJ

La situation géographique est géniale pour nous: le Rainforest Discovery Centre est à quelques minutes de marche. Le bungalow est au calme, avec une terrasse agréable. Le petit-déjeuner, comme le reste des repas, a eu ses hauts et des bas. Literie très propre.

Le personnel n’est pas hyper chaleureux (est-ce de la gêne ou de la retenue? nous avons trouvé cela dommage). Nous aurions apprécié plus de fruits au petit-déjeuner. Lits un peu durs à notre goût. Le transport des bagages jusqu’au bungalow peut être difficile après la pluie - un système de « chariot » serait idéal!

La chambre familiale est très cosy (plus que le bungalow à une chambre dans lequel nous avons séjourné 6 nuits avant). Le jardin est très chouette pour un peu de birding. On entend et voit des calaos. Merci à Stella pour son énergie sympathique! et à notre taxi woman qui a évité les bouchons!

La nourriture avait ses hauts et ses bas… (en fonction du cuisinier, peut-être?)

Grand jardin verdoyant. Beaucoup d’oiseaux. Une des employées (accueil et service du petit-déjeuner) était très sympathique. Le contact via booking.com est nickel (organisation du pick-up à l’aéroport, p.ex).

Everything was great about this stay at Sepilok BnB. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was also good. Very well priced in a gorgeous garden area. In walking distance to everything in the area which was very helpful.

Bien situé pour visiter les orang-outangs, les sunbears et le RDC. Tout est à moins de 20 minutes de marche. La nourriture à la carte est assez bien. La literie est douce.

Le déjeuner est vraiment ordinaire. Les chambres ont besoin d’un bon nettoyage et un peu de rénovation. Les murs sont sales et usés.

The location was ideal - 5 mins to the RDC and 20 mins walk to the orangutan 🦧 sanctuary. The food tasted good and was reasonably priced. The room was basic and clean - all you needed.

The price for the quad room was cheaper than a double (strange!) so we chose that one as a couple but would have been nice if the prices reflected what was needed (aka double is cheaper!). The wifi connection is weak when in your room but worked the strongest near reception. It was our most expensive stay of our whole 5 months backpacking but there wasn’t really many affordable options.

La ubicación del sitio es muy buena. Está cerca tanto del centro de rehabilitación de orangutanes y osos como del RDC. Este último es muy recomendable, especialmente el paseo nocturno. Por otro lado, la comida del restaurante está muy bien.

Cosas menores pero que ayudarían a hacer la estancia mejor: si vas muy cargado cuesta llegar a las habitaciones; un poco más de conocimiento del funcionamiento de las atracciones del sitio por parte del personal, estaban un poco perdidos en cuanto a horarios y funcionamiento.

Sepilok bnb超過預期的精彩跟優秀，園區超大，就像是一座生態公園，後面還有一大區還沒去探索。我們在園區用手機錄到了犀鳥在樹上跳來跳去，晚上被他吵整夜，令我興奮到睡不著覺。園區有華氏老鷹，貓頭鷹，當然還有猴子家族，太陽鳥跟補蛛鳥。可惜我們錯過了黑頭藍翼Pitta,聽隔壁賞鳥達人說2週前還在園區看到它。 我們訂了家庭房，三個人住超舒服，房間裡有沙發。外陽台超大，每天早晚都在陽台聽鳥叫，超幸福。工作人員都很熱情，幫忙解說各項需求。尤其當我發現我的相機背包忘了拿，放在Grab車上，工作人員幫我連絡司機送回，太感謝了。餐點飲料都很棒，價格也很實惠。 Sepilok bnb離RDC超近，我們走路6分鐘直接進園區，沿路都是太陽鳥飛來飛去，當然還有其他的鳥，看不完拍不完。 Sepilok bnb離人猿保護中心也很近，搭Grab花10元馬幣之內就可到達。 最棒的是Sepilok bnb價格很有競爭力，透過Booking.com訂房可以拿到優惠的價格，但是服務一樣的好，服務沒打折。 預計2024 2月會再入住Sepilok bnb。希望明年2月Pitta會出現，犀鳥乖一點停在樹上讓我好好拍照，因為我是拍鳥新手。

Abbiamo alloggiato due notti qui, ci sono piaciuti in particolare la location e la vicinanza alle attrazioni del posto. La colazione è basica. Sia la cena che il pranzo sono buoni. Lo staff è stato molto cortese.

Beautiful setting, wooden cottages among greenery, sounds of birds and other animals from your balcony where you enjoy the view. Large room. We also had a very good dinner in the Sepilok B&B's restaurant. Walking distance from several local attractions. Great value for money.

I would suggest the breakfast to be richer. We also missed a safe deposit box in the room, as well as hair dyer. In spite of the above friendly suggestions for improvement, I still rate Sepilok B&B a full 10!

Sepilok B&B is a gem very close to the Rainforest Discovery Center. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facilities are basic but clean. The food is delicious. It is also easy to get a taxi to other nearby activities. Overall a wonderful stay.

Just returned from an exceptional stay at Sepilok B&B in Borneo, Malaysia - a great place for any adventurous traveler! The staff is incredibly friendly, making us feel welcomed from the moment we stepped in. The breakfast fueled us up each morning for the day's explorations. The location is unparalleled - a stone's throw from the orangutan sanctuary and discovery center, perfect for those early morning walks. As for the room, it was clean and spacious, with both AC and hot water - just the kind of comfort you need after a day of adventure in Borneo. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a comfortable, affordable and convenient base for their Borneo adventure. Thank you, Sepilok B&B, for a truly enriching experience!

Loved the balcony from the huge family bedroom. Location is close to RDC, but a bit of a walk (and no footpath along road) to the sanctuaries. But Grab taxi makes it super easy and cheap to get around. AC worked brilliantly. Some beds were comfy, the double bed rock hard. I felt like Goldilocks trying to find the right one - my kids weren't as fussed.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing with little choice (fried rice, noodles, or soggy french toast - get there quick before it runs out). The accommodation was fully booked and staff were struggling with numbers. Service was spotty, but always with a friendly smile. There's a good restaurant (Rainforest Resort) with more choice around the corner, 5 mins walk away. You can also use the pool at Rainforest Resort for MYR25pp if you need to cool off.

Location was perfect for walking to the orangutan, sun bear and rainforest treetop walk. The accommodation was simple but spacious and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Curtains in the bedrooms didn’t cover the top windows - so kids woke up with the sun at 530am. Breakfast options were a bit limited - but the food available was good. For the tea and coffee drinkers, like many places in Sabah, creamer rather than milk is the only option.
