Breakfast was amazing and the room was stunning and the location with the mountains was idilic.

It was a beautiful, magical farm stay! The hosts were friendly and the breakfast was wonderful. The whole farm area was gorgeous!

The kitchen facilities in our room could have better better equipped, but we managed.

Lejia the host was exceptional. We enjoyed chatting with her about her farm, the grounds were beautiful. Breakfast was over the top amazing!! Everything was homemade. The perfect stay!!!

Hesla Farm is one of the cosiest places we ever had been. A large garden with apple trees and chickens running around is surrounded by wooden buildings. We had a large two room apartment plus a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable bathroom. Located at Gol it is at one of the crossroads in Southern Norway. I the evening we had nice talks at the outdoor open fire place with guests from other countries. Norwegian hospitality with a touch and warmth of South America.

Although quite old house (1921) it had floor heating in the bathroom. House is really charming but unfortunately a lot of details which could be improved and fixed

Person who welcomed us seemed very nice but did not know English so we could not talk and ask a lot. There was no breakfast as everybody in reviews have written. On my question (when we arrived in the evening) if there is a breakfast, answer was that there is no breakfast and we got 4 fresh eggs to cook for ourselves in the morning (there were 5 of us in the apartment and were really looking forward to breakfast everybody were writing about). The doorknob on the bathroom door was falling down. Big bed was quite noisy on the smallest move. Although there was a coffee machine (Dolce Gusto), there were no capsules. There was no cutting board. At the end we did not manage to finish cooking eggs - probably fire indicator turned off the stove (there was no fire, just 2 plates on the stove were turned on)... In the morning when we asked to look at the animals with kids they just told us the animals are in the back of the house and we couldn't see them as they were closed and we did not want to open the barn and chicken coop on our own (and the owners obviously had to go somewhere and did not have time for us). I just hope we had bad luck and that all the reviews are honest and true and that people really enjoyed their stay.

Everything was perfect! Definitely recommend!!! And for me most important thing- PLACE WAS SUPER CLEAN!

A very charming and nice place to stay. Perfect for families with kids. A big surprise when we woke up the next morning, and the hosts offered us a basket with fresh bread, jam, waffles and fruit🥰

Hands down one of the most fascinating hotels we have ever stayed at, considering multiple countries over several continents. Beautifully located on the mountain slope with the opposite beautiful mountain slope & fresh air really making it a pleasant location. The farm itself is 100% authentic with the oldest room option from year 1632. It also has a very old barn with cute countryside shop. You can get to stay in one of the old houses from either of 17th / 18th / 19th & 20th century. The hotel has very nicely renovated the houses to have max comfort with modern functionality while fully keeping the old decorations & style. We were 2 couples that truly enjoyed this stay. Got so pleasantly surprised about the whole experience. Also the staff is super, super nice! They are smiling & can show you around the farm & tell you some stories if you are interested. Highly recommend!

Fantastic place for both children and adults!

We came after long weekend so it wasn't many people in Hesla Apartments. We got a bigger apartament and we spend amazing 3 days in Gol. The owner is so friendly and helpful. We got fresh baked bread, homemade jam and eggs. Everything was clean, cosy and pleasantly. Interior design is also great. I really recommend this place!

Nice location close to the centre of Gol. Excellent host who gave us a choice of rooms. (Both were spacious beautifully decorated with well equipped kitchens. Breakfast can only be described as wonderful. Would highly recommend Hesla Gård.

We were given a very warm and considerate welcome. Everything was nice and clean. And the fresh bread and eggs for breakfast was a true novelty. The farms renovation of old buildings into modern apartments is very intriguing. Our hosts focus on service was outstanding.

Unfortunately, during days of Covid mitigations most shops and restaurants in Gol town were basically closed.

The noise from traffic on the roads encircling the location was a bit annoying. You couldn't sit out on the lovely terrace for very long.
