The rooms were well-appointed with space, storage, a nice bathroom, and we had a balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful with check in, check out, and advice. The breakfast was the best I experienced at a hotel during my 12 days in Portugal. The location is convenient to most things and walkable.

The bed was too-hard for my taste, but I’m a side sleeper.

- loved everything about this old home. Don’t let the “old” fool you. It’s been modernized and decorated beautifully - comfy bed with sumptuous linens - spacious and airy with huge windows or blackout shutters if you prefer - excellent breakfast plus a coffee/water station to use anytime - a couple blocks from the waterfront with plenty of cafes shops right down the street

Maybe because of our room location we could hear every step on the wooden stairs, but it's a minor thing

Charming old building, excellent service from very professional and friendly staff, impecable fresh local breakfast, possibility for parking upon availability with a fee, great location, free coffee and tea 24/7, nice pressure of water in showers, concierge service and great cleaning service -what’s not to like :)

Only negative I can think of: the walls are thin and you can hear everything between rooms; maybe we were unlucky to have a middle room. Also, we could hear the floor creaking when someone was walking on the floor above. on Saturday night, there was loud music from the bar below until late and occasionally cars drive on the cobble street behind the hotel, making noise enough to wake up a light sleeper. But I guess these issues are solved with some earplugs.

Everything was very clean and it was very charming!! We had plenty of room with a small balcony overlooking the courtyard. Everyone working there was extremely accommodating and friendly! We would definitely stay again.

Our only negative (and I knew this when I booked) was the bed was only double. It would have been nice it was a queen.

Charming indeed! You can really feel at home there, thanks to all the little things here and there. Staff is very nice an helpful. The building is located in one of the nicest squares in the town. It's both traditional and modern. I don't think a hotel can get any nicer :)

There's a pub/club next door, so on the weekend you can hear their music in the room. Not too loud though, so it didn't bothered us at all.

This guest house is decorated in such a charming way! We really loved our stay here and all of the staff were so kind and helpful. The location is perfect as it’s walkable to so many nice restaurants and shops. The facilities seemed brand new despite it being a historic house. The bathroom was spacious and so clean! The view form the top of the guest house was really cool!

The only issue we had was our room had a lot of noise at night with people coming up the stairs. We were in room 1. This might not be an issue with other rooms. Could probably be fixed with just a little more sound proofing.
