I had such a lovely stay at this place, I stayed an extra night :) the rooms are peaceful and comfortable with big lockers and amazing hot showers (best shower I’ve had in Sri Lanka), perfect after a cold hike or long journey. What makes is place special is definitely the hosts - they are so welcoming and kind, I felt at home and very well looked after - they helped me arrange transport to Horton plains and made me a breakfast for the hike, and arranged dinner for me when I was disorganised… As a solo traveller I really enjoyed the company of the other nice guests and Haran, I can only recommend this place

Personally, I liked the host so much! So welcoming and very helpful with everything. The distance to everything was very nice and you could walk almost everywhere, just remember that it gets very cold at night. Our room was very big and ve had a nice bathroom too. The breakfast was amazing and we got fresh fruit every morning with eggs and toast.

Хозяева виллы - молодая пара. Очень приятные и общительные. Парковка для машины во внутреннем дворе. Ночью тихо и без комаров. Расположение прям у подножья горы. У хозяина есть свой тук-тук - на нем отвез нас утром до Амбулувава. Номера чистые, сан узел с новым ремонтом, wifi нормальный, завтрак обычный, но есть меню и можно заказать все что угодно. Мы случайно попали на праздник полнолуния и хозяева позвали нас в центр города посмотреть праздничное шествие. Весь центр был перегорожен и по центральной улице шли: монахи, танцоры, слоны, фаер шоу - незабываемое зрелище )

This place is amazing! Breakfast was the best, location is great and it is super clean. There's hot water and kitchen to use (super clean as well). Too bad I had no time for cooking class, I'd love to lean how to prepare great sri lankan breakfast :) next time!

Guys are very friendly. They found me a cheaper Tuktuk for my trip to Horton. they was very kind and helpful. The dinner was amazing.

I felt at home since I arrived. Everything was super clean and comfortable.
Wifi works perfect.
The dorm it's spacious and you have your own place to lock your stuff.
The shower was not working well and they moved me to a private room. Although they fixed quickly they let me to stay in the private one for the same price.
The owner and Harn are very helpful and friendly, they are gonna help you in everything you need. Harn will cook a delicious dinner for you!
It's well located, you can reach the city 15' walking.
If you are looking for a familiar and quite place, that'll be perfect.

It really felt like a home away from home, Haran made us feel welcome and comfortable straight away and was super helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The rooms were big. The location is a short walk from most central places and a short ride to sightseeing places

Karan is a great host and always looking to assist you with any requests, issues or advices. Room is clean & comfortable. There's a shared kitchen where you can make any food/tea or coffee.
We had some power issues at night for few minutes and we were given with a candle and a lighter (after the power went). I have stayed in lots of other places in Sri Lanka and they all have backup power system.

Haran was a great host - helpful, hospitable and welcoming. He organized our trip to Horton's plain and the tuk-tuk driver to the train station. He served us a really nutritious meal after our hike to Horton's. The location was very close to a great restaurant, Temparadu, and Lover's Leap waterfall.
It's a budget place so you get what you get. Being in the basin of a valley, the room can get a bit damp, but opening a window for an hour will fix that. If you expect more, go elsewhere. Otherwise it's great value for money.

A nice hostel in Nuwara Eliya. A bit of a walk from the main city center but doable if you have a bike. The dorm is basic but comfortable. Its a house with one section converted to a dorm, so don't expect a hostel vibe, nonetheless, not a bad place for a few days.
The hot water in the shower doesn't work properly. It comes and goes.

The owner is very kind and responded to some problems and our requirements. For instance, he kept our luggage while we are out and gave us a cup of tea when we came back.

The owner was very friendly and helpful-we had a really nice chat with a cup of tea in the evening (it was our only night there).. and he also made us packed breakfast the next morning since we had to leave pretty early..

The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, really nice people. The breakfast was very big and good (omelet, salad, toast, jam and butter). Coffee and tea is available whenever you wish.
They have hot water and the pressure is good, but maybe i wish it was a bit hotter.
