Leuk, klein hotel. Mooie kamers, erg charmant zoals in de naam. Bed is fantastisch!! Groot en zeer comfortabel. Kamer zelf ik ook ruim en aan het zwembad gelegen. Zwembad is niet heel groot maar prima voor een verfrissende duik. Ontbijt is ook heerlijk. Vriendelijk ontvangst en goed advies over waar te gaan eten. Aanrader!!

We loved our stay here. La Ramona Charming is a lovely 5 unit hotel, just a few mins away from everything you need. The hotel is family owned. They are all very friendly and helpful. A daily breakfast is made to order and it is delicious. You won’t walk away hungry for sure! The hotel is tucked away on a quiet side street, just a 5 min walk to the shops and beach. The rooms are comfy and the wifi works well. We were a group of four and stayed in the family suite. It worked well for us. We would definitely stay again.

The location is very calm and on walking distance from the the center and beach. The hosts were very friendly to also provide breakfast before the actual hours so that we could eat before our surf class.

Minor detail. The airco was placed right across the bed so with airco it got too cold at night, and without it was just too hot.

Dir Fotos sind leider völlig veraltet, die Unterkunft ist in die Jahre gekommen. Es wirkte alles etwas lieblos ohne viel Liebe zum Detail. Unsere Außendusche wurde von einem Ameisenvolk bewohnt, es lag trockenes Laub darin und die Blumentöpfe enthielten mumifiierte Reste von Pflanzen. War also nicht zu benutzen. Die Amaturen im Bad sind total oxidiert und sind eher weiss als verchromt. Rund um den Pool war alles vertrocknet und es gab keinen Liegestuhl o.ä. um sich dort mal niederzulassen.

Staff - the owner was really friendly as was the housekeeper/maid/chef (all one person). We had a couple of power cuts as well as 1 day without water (however this was across the entire town and nothing to do with the hotel). What I want to flag was how helpful the owner was. He had placed a big 12 litre of water outside the room to drink while it was out and any updates he had he shared with us. 10/10. Location - not far from the beach with nice restaurants and bars within a 5 minute walk.

I thought long and hard about this as while I don't want to harm an independent business, I was dissatisfied by a few aspects. Cleanliness - In my opinion this was lacking. While the sheets were spotless, a number of areas of the roomed needed more attention with multiple cobwebs in the bathroom, around the mirrors, light fittings etc. The grout in the floor was dirty and the toilet needs a deep clean. In my opinion the root cause of this is that there is only 1 person who's a multi-combination housekeeper/maid/chef (mentioned above). She was lovely and I believe she has cleaned the rooms as best she could, but given she has so many responsibilities she is clearly overworked. She handles everything from check-in to cleaning, cooking breakfast and there are 5 rooms to tend to. With breakfast between 8-10am she does not have anywhere near enough time to clean up after breakfast, prep fresh rooms for check-ins while looking after existing guests. The back of the curtains are filthily, granted you don't seem them frequently but when you do it's not something you want to touch. For example we stayed in the room with the outdoor bath, when walking back into the from after a shower the first thing you see are the dirty curtains and it't not something you want to touch after cleaning yourself. On the topic of curtains only 3 curtain cover the main door into the room from the garden, as a result you get BRIGHT LIGHT shining through the large glass doors are 5/6am. No great if you're tired after a long flight and would like to sleep in. The shower area itself also needs a refresh, with a number of stains on the wall. The rooms look tired as a result and being able to spend some extra time to deep clean would go a long way. Also a fresh lick of paint is badly needed.

We liked everything about the property and our stay. We were welcomed by the hosting family and were allowed to store our luggage as we arrived earlier than check-in. We love that the hotel is family-owned, and the rooms were spotless. The outdoor shower in our room was a nice surprise. Our patio featured a swinging chair which became a favourite spot for reading or catching up on emails. The property is not beachfront, but after a day at the beach or in the centre, we were happy to return to our quiet retreat located a short walk away from all the hustle and bustle.
