Imødekommende og meget hjælpsomt personale. Hotellets mad var friskt og velsmagende hver dag, især morgenmaden. Værelset vi fik var på øverste etage med en kæmpe balkon, hvilket gjorde at vi havde den flotteste udsigt direkte ud mod havet og de grønne omgivelser.

Everything! Effortless service, large, airy and clean rooms, good and reasonably priced food, fabulous pool and amazing beach. What’s not to like? Even when the hotel is full (which it invariably is but no surprise there) it still feels tranquil and spacious.

Bad mosquitos and unfortunately a three day infestation of red beetles attacking the local coconut plantations. A biblical plague!

Wirklich sehr schönes kleines Hotel zum entspannen. Super ruhig, leerer Strand, sehr aufmerksames nettes Personal. Leckeres Essen. Die Zimmer haben eine tolle Aussicht egal in welche Richtung. Sehr schöner Pool, den man oft für sich alleine hat

Man muss wissen dass es recht abgelegen liegt (plus Anfahrt ca 2km über eine recht holprige Straße) sodass man sich drauf einstellen muss hauptsächlich im Hotel die Zeit zu verbringen aber es ist so schön dort dass man eh nicht weg will :-)

Восхитительные виды не только на океан, но и на джунгли - в горизонт. Просторные номера с высоким потолком. Очень уютная атмосфера, внимательный и ненавязчивый персонал. Очень приятные цены на вкусную еду. Продумано всё до мелочей. Комфортное освещение. Романтическая обстановка, каждый вечер зажигают масляные факелы (живой огонь), аромоподготвка, очень приятная музыка. Очень красивый бассейн - в цвет морской волны. Восхитительный ландшафтный дизайн. Уборка номеров каждый день. Превосходный вариант для романтического отдыха - мы остались очень довольны.

We chose the partial sea view room and it was so beautiful!! We had a huge terrace facing a palm tree forest, the bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was very big. The food from the hotel’s restaurant is very good, no need to go outside for this. The wi-fi works well, the staff very friendly.

The water pressure at the shower was quite low and in the reception area the sofas were a bit smelly due to humidity.

Das Personal war total aufmerksam, hilfsbereit und freundlich. Super Essen und ein sauberes Zimmer mit Meerblick, die ganze Hotelanlage war sehr gepflegt. Das Wlan war auch einwandfrei.

We recently stayed at Ananya Resort in Sri Lanka and had a fantastic experience. The staff at the resort were exceptional, providing us with friendly and helpful service throughout our stay. The room was comfortable and the setting was absolutely beautiful, with a private beach and stunning views of the coast. We loved the delicious and varied food at the restaurant, especially the local Sri Lankan breakfast options that my husband enjoyed trying. The pool was perfect for relaxing, and the sun loungers at the beach provided the perfect spot to soak up some sun and enjoy the ocean breeze. Overall, we highly recommend Ananya Resort to anyone looking for a luxurious and peaceful getaway in Sri Lanka. The resort exceeded all of our expectations and we cannot wait to return again in the future.

The resort is located a bit far from Tangalle, which adds to the tranquility of the location, but it can also restrict your movements and options for dining outside the resort.

This place is set on a beautiful very quiet beach. The rooms were huge with an amazing view of the beach and sea and the balcony was also very big! We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, breakfast was good and dinner too with plenty of options available. The staff were very welcoming and very friendly guys! I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

we stayed at Ananya Beach Resort for 7 nights to have a week of time at the beach, but also work remotely at the same time. Our biggest plus points about our stay is how friendly and accommodating the staff was. The atmosphere was peaceful and the food (especially the Sri Lankan breakfasts) of a high level. This made our stay extraordinary, next to the perfect location and facilities.

No negative points about the hotel, only that we were very sad to leave and cannot wait to come back!

I asked for a high floor room because privacy and views are really important to me and they replied to my message saying "that they will do their best to assign a top floor room". Well, they did not even care to try. They put us on the first floor and it was not nice at all. People could see us from the pool area and whenever we went out on the balcony to enjoy the ocean view, everyone was looking at us, including the staff from the reception area. It was uncomfortable and we ended up staying in the room with the curtains closed all the time, so that we could have some privacy. Hence, we could not enjoy the ocean view and our balcony. The windows in the first floor room are small and ugly, you get the jungle view but no ocean side view like the pictures advertised on booking.com. The staff had a hostile attitude when I went back to the reception to ask for a high floor room as requested when the booking was originally made. I even booked a more expensive room than the original one. They said there was no availability and did not care about my request at all. They should have considered more carefully the room planning and assignment when people make their special requests for their booking. This is important to us!! Our stay was ruined. Next to the room factor, wifi was not working properly or at all, there was no hot water at times and the pressure was almost non existent. I had high expectations about this hotel and the beautiful views that I would enjoy from my room, in the end it was a big disappointment. They were also hostile to our driver when he asked them for accommodation information and they ignored him and treated him like he did not exist. All in all, it was a very unpleasant end to our week long vacation in Sri Lanka. If you plan on staying in this hotel, make sure to get a high floor room, otherwise forget about intimacy or being able to enjoy your room and balcony views.

The location is great, the service is excellent, the food is good and very affordable, you don’t need to go out from the hotel, they have everything. You can also get free bikes to explore the surroundings. The beach is deserted, you see the fishermen in the morning and there is a small lagoon. On the beach, few meters on the left, there is a nice place where they make bone fire at night.

superb place in every way - we had a sea view room with stupendous views over the pool, beach and beyond to the ocean. five star service from a team of discreet but wonderfully attentive staff- nothing is too much trouble. food is excellent and good value. new favourite place in Sri Lanka on our sixth trip to the island! throughly recommended.

Wonderful staff and a really quiet location with a long beach that, so far, doesn't seem to have been too exploited. The room was a great size with a huge bathroom and I had a wonderful view of the lovely pool and the sea beyond and they provided beach towels. The breakfast was also good and the restaurant had a variety of options on the menu to cater for different tastes. If you are looking for an alternative dining option, try walking 15 minutes down the road to a family restaurant called Nimhira. The jumbo prawns brought a whole new meaning to the word "jumbo" - they were almost as big as lobsters and incredibly good value!! Just make sure you order them in advance.

Apart from the breakfast, the food was a bit "hit and miss". The first night I had the vegetable curry, which was great, but the next night the battered calamari was all batter and no calamari and the chips were very finely sliced potatoes, almost like crisps, not the french fries I was expecting.

The location, the deserted beach, the food, everything!

I’ve been to many places, including the most luxurious the world has to offer, but this place beats it all. The place is totally secluded, so you can walk along the beautiful wild beach for an hour and you won’t pass a single person. Everything, including garden, top notch infinity pool, room, and common areas is spotlessly clean. The guys serving the food and cleaning the rooms are super courteous and aware of the customers service. We’ve spent amazing holidays in this beautiful place. Initially we intended to combine the visit with safari, bird watching etc, but Ananya Beach Resort was so perfect we just chilled there for 12 days. Thumbs up guys and keep up the wonderful work.

We had an amazing stay - such a beautiful hotel with the most perfect view. It was the most comfortable and clean place of our entire stay. The staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and the hotel manager was super helpful with any request (food, support on transportation, later check out etc).
