Alles. Es war wunderbar. Sehr schöne, geräumige, saubere Wohnungen und wundervolle, supernette, freundliche Gastgeber. Sehr leckeres Frühstück, eine tolle Frosch-Nachtwanderung im Garten, perfekter Wäscheservice...

We werden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen en t huis was erg comfortabel. Nette en complete keuken, heerlijke bedden en heel.schoon! De vogels worden gevoerd met bananen met heel laag suikergehalte en deze bananen kunnen de vogels ook in de natuur vinden. We hebben 2 keer een rondleiding door de tuin gehad om kikkers en andere diertjes te zoeken. Veel uitleg gekregen en een hoop kikkers gespot. Mooie en rustige plek!

We really liked the night frog tour. With the high temperatures the swimming pool was very welcome.

Everything about the place was great. Definitely the best place we stayed at during our entire trip in Costa Rica. The rooms were very big, kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. WiFi covered the entire location, both indoor and out had fast stable internet. Breakfast was also the best included breakfast we had we among all the hotels we stayed in during the trip. They try and give a slightly different variety everyday so that's really nice. It was lovely to have breakfast with a view of birds even though bird migration/nesting season were already somewhat over there still quite a lot of birds. Location was very nice as well, just a few driving minutes from the center of town but far enough to be peaceful and quiet which is exactly what we wanted. The thing that made this place special is Leo and his team. They really try to everything they can to make the stay a memorable experience. Make sure to talk to them and get their recommendations. All their recommendations were spot on. The free night tour was a great touch as well. We wholeheartedly highly recommended staying in Cabañas del Rio.

Geweldige prijskwaliteitverhouding, nette ruime kamer/huisje en parkeerplek. Ontbijt was super lekker en vers. De tuin en nachttour was ook erg tof, de mensen hier zijn enorm aardig en klantgericht

Echt het enige verbeterpuntje vonden wij de geur en hygiëne van de airco. Die apparaten moeten even een keer goed doorgelicht en gepoetst worden

De vriendelijke mensen die er werken,

Lejligheden har det bedst udstyrede køkken, som vi har oplevet i Costa Rica. Der er god plads til 4. A/C fungerer upåklageligt overalt. Varmt bad. Dejlig pool.. Sikkert område. Udover det er der den uovertrufne nattetur med manageren rundt i haven, hvor vi så masser af frøer og andre dyr. De efterfølgende aftener fik vi mulighed for at se mere, hvis han havde fundet noget spændende. Magisk!

Vi kunne faktisk lide det hele, men det kunne have været dejligt med varmt vand i køkkenvasken og alm hane i vasken til badeværelset i stedet for fjeder hane.

Our stay was very comfortable. The cabin is nice and clean, with aircon; bathroom is clean and shower is big and pleasant. The breakfast is very tasty, best rice and beans we had in Costa Rica. The owner is a very nice person, he gave us the night tour around the gardens and shared insights about the area.

The room wasn’t ready at check in time. The young boy that is in reception until 6pm (before the owner arrives) is not very knowledgeable and wasn’t able to give good recommendations about the area.

Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und sehr bemüht den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und die Küche bestens ausgestattet für den Fall, dass man selbst kochen möchte. Am Abend gab es eine kostenlose Froschtour im hinteren Teil der Anlage im Garten, vom Eigentümer persönlich, welche uns sehr gut gefallen hat und informativ war. Während des leckeren Frühstücks konnte man die verschiedenen bunten Vögel beobachten und wir haben sogar ein Tucan aus nächster Nähe beobachten können. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen, vielen Dank.

Insgesamt war alles prima. Ein kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag: Nachtischlampen.

It was peaceful, the rooms and fa it were very clean and comfortable, and the gardens and trails were well-groomed and beautiful.

היתה לנו חוויה נפלאה במקום.. חדרים גדולים וכל היחידה מצויידת היטב לשהייה נוחה עם חניה צמודה ושירותי כביסה.. צוות אדיב ומסייע בכל שאלה וארוחת בוקר עם הפנקייק הכי טעים שאכלנו אי פעם.

Logement impeccable, très propre, très fonctionnel, avec tous les équipements nécessaires. Lits immenses, eau chaude, excellent petit-déjeuner et personnel extrêmement sympathique. Le tour pour voir les grenouilles de nuit est un vrai plus, très instructif nous avons vu plein de grenouilles! Bref un logement familial hautement recommandé, proche du centre ville et de toutes les commodités.

The hosts were exceptional and the night tour was great.

This was a wonderful villa big enough for 6 adults. We were missing nothing a lot of small touches such as clothing line, fully equipment kitchen. We loved our 3 day stay. A restaurant recommendation is Chante Verde it was our best restaurant in our stay so far.

Endroit un peu à l'écart mais à 5 minutes en voiture de la Fortuna. Logement spacieux, avec 3 grands lits, bien équipé et une agréable piscine. Super petit déjeuner. Le petit sentier pour voir les grenouilles de nuit, au top.

Todo! el personal de lo mejor que hemos encontrado en Costa Rica 🇨🇷 el chico de la recepción es un amor 🫶 el dueño también es un hotel familiar muy cómodo la habitación (casa) tenía de todo. Todo muy limpio y nuevo. El desayuno una maravilla viendo al mismo tiempo todo tipo de pájaros que también hacían el desayuno . Por la noche pudimos ir a ver las ranitas que habitan en el parque. Lo recomiendo es muy especial. La piscina es bonita y cómoda. Poder aparcar el coche al lado de tu habitación es también un plus muy fuerte. No olvidemos la ubicación que era muy buena ya que todo estaba muy cerca.

Un poco el ruido de la carretera ya que la habitación era la primera de la fila pero nada que me disturbo el sueño.

Très bon acceuil, personnel à l'écoute, serviable et bienveillant. Bon emplacement sécurisé proche du centre ville, place de parking à côté de son logement. Un excellent petit déjeuner préparé sur place. Petit déjeuner bien garni : gallo pinto, fruits frais, pain, pancakes etc devant les oiseaux et les écureuils qui eux viennent aussi se restaurer...découverte des grenouilles et autres avec le gérant le soir dans la propriété. . Piscine chauffée. Grand logement ,très grands lits,bonne literie

Seul petit bémol pour nous c est la baie de brassage du réseau Internet qui se trouvait contre la partie du logement. On entendait la résonance. Nous sommes peut être sensibles au bruits...et la route a côté mais cela n'est pas de la responsabilité des propriétaires. Problème résolu avec les boucles quies

Very big and comfortable rooms. Everything is extraordinarily clean. Leo the owner is very friendly and does a great job with everything. In the evening he takes you on a frog tour if you want to-the tour is absolutely interesting! And there is a great laundry service, you can bring and pick up the laundry on the same day for a very small price.

Everything was more than perfect!!!

We loved everything about this place. The location was perfect—just a few minutes outside of town. The outdoor breakfast was fantastic! My kids loved the frog tour and pool. Our room was spotless (they also cleaned it while we were there) and a good layout for our family of four. We had three king sized beds. Staff was lovely! We’d definitely stay here again.

Clean, comfortable accommodation with lots of beds in a semi-rural location just south of La Fortuna. Very attentive staff who went out of their way to make our 2 night stay special. Great breakfasts with warm sourdough bread was a treat. The bird feeders in the morning were an ornithological delight! We saw both types of toucans in the nearby trees. They also provide a very good value laundry service. Finally, we loved the after dark frog tour. Leo was brilliant and so helpful in getting the best photos of the frogs. Highly recommended if you don’t mind being a short car journey from the centre.

It is hard to find fault with this place but It would be good to have some working table lamps as the lighting was a bit bright at night.

This place is amazing! I stayed here with my husband and four kids ages 6-14. The grounds are beautiful, the cabin was immaculate, and the frog walk was fun and interesting. Where this place shines the most is its amazing staff. It's clear how much care and detail the owner and his staff take to make this the magical place it is. Here are just a few examples- while eating breakfast they noticed a toucan in the tree and so set up a telescope so we could see it more clearly. On the frog walk the owner explained to us the extra steps they are taking to expand their garden in a way that's safe for the wildlife and environment. When he found out it was my son's birthday he got us a cake! During our trip my 6 year old became sick and vomited in 2 of the beds. I asked for extra sheets with the plan of changing them myself but he was so understanding and immediately set up cleaning of our room. I really cannot convey how special this place is. Some things to be aware of- This is more like an air bnb situation in the sense that you will need to provide your own toilet paper etc. They will have some to start you out with. There is a full kitchen but other than dish soap no real cleaning supplies or extra trash bags etc. There are many grocery stores within a few minutes of the place so this is not an issue. The owner is fluent in English, the front desk person is getting there. Check in and out was very easy. Our cabin had one bedroom with a full or queen bed (I can't remember which) and the rest of the cabin was one room with two separated sleeping areas, each with a full or queen bed but no door. The bathroom was it's own room of course. It was a tad small for the 6 of us but we were comfortable and no one complained. It's very close to the city center and all our tours were able to pick us up easily. Very close to restaurants etc. The pool is beautiful but small and no deep end. Still fun though!

Everything! Staff was very friendly and takes pride in their hotel. Room was huge with good AC, private and secure parking behind a gate. Breakfast was great with vegan options. The frog tour at night was a nice touch and there are a lot of birds in the morning for breakfast. Internet is also quite fast!

You do need a car as the city center is 2.5km away from the hotel.

Bien ubicado justo pasando La Fortuna, a 10/20 minutos de todas las atracciones. Cabañas muy bien equipadas con estacionamiento individual. A mis hijas les encantó el tour de ranas! Excelente atención de Leo, el propietario. Excelente relación precio x calidad.

Tiene aire acondicionado salvo en el dormitorio que tiene puerta. Los otros dos dormitorios están incorporados. No tiene agua caliente en la cocina. Un día se nos inundó el baño pero pusieron un tope para evitarlo al día siguiente. Faltarían veladores en los dormitorios.

We had a wonderful stay here. All of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Our room was very spacious, with 3 king sized beds and a very well appointed kitchen. The pull up carport right next to the room was so convenient. The pool is lovely as are the gardens. Breakfast was great - we all agreed that it was the best gallo pinto of the whole trip. The highlight, though, was the frog tour with Leo. He has a great knowledge of the flora and fauna, and takes great joy in sharing this with his guests. We had an excellent stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you!!

Not much to stay here. The location is a bit out of the main town, which was great for us because we wanted to avoid the New Year's crowds and we rented a car.
