lovely property and genuine caring staff

1. the property needs to be improved - the fan wasn’t working - it was replaced after pointing out. the jacuzzi wasn’t giving hot water, but fixed after pointing out. but these should be fixed in advance for luxury places 2. the veggie menu was very limited. after we insisted the kitchen staff made effort and provided quite decent food. but the feeling was that hotel caters only non veg with so many options

The room is incredible. Large with a pool. Best room we stayed in. The bed is extremely comfortable. The pool is lovely and the drinks are great. Lovely spot to relax next to the beach. No issue with getting loungers etc. Plenty of space for all. Food delicious. Sunset is amazing.

They remove lounges in the evening to set up for dinner. When you stay to watch the sunset it makes you feel a bit uncomfortable as you are basically the only lounger left. would prefer they just wait for the last person to leave and then change loungers for dinner tables. The menu didn't change so could get a bit repetitive for an extended stay. Expensive as well so would like to see some variation between days.

It's my 2nd visit in 5 months and this time I had my elderly mom with me, staying a total of 4 nights. There were certainly improvements from my last visit in May. The food standard had improved; enjoyed the revised breakfast menu, though the egg station has been moved back into the kitchen. Tip: the breakfast chicken porridge is delicious ( ask for the soto ayam sambal if you enjoy spicy food). This time around more services were available: complimentary daily afternoon tea, daily complimentary laundry ( 4 pieces per guest not including dry cleaning). The pool was clean, green areas manicured and staff were generally pleasant. The afternoon tea options were a little dismal and inconsistent. On day 1 there were scones, finger sandwiches and really random pieces of fried fish cakes. And once we had badly fried samosas. We realised the desserts that were sent for the turn down service were the same from afternoon tea. Surely the Samaya can do better! As it so happens, I had a problem with the living room tv this time ( in May the bathroom tv didnt work). The team came by to address the issue almost immediately so thank you. Tip: contact your butler if you have trouble with getting Netflix setup etc. The alternative is cable tv. Kudos to our butler Ari who was simply exceptional. She was attentive, helpful and always delivered with a smile. We also want to call out Rutmini our server at breakfast. She's so warm, friendly and made us feel welcomed. These 2 ladies remembered the details and that made our stay so much more fabulous. Thank you ladies.

Suggestions Scheduled shuttle service to Seminyak Square Complimentary airport transfers Service is inconsistent - at times i feel its a luxury resort and well worth the money and at times, i feel that it's overpriced (especially when i encounter problems with TV, inconsistent service during breakfasts etc) Please ensure that the wooden deck around the villa pools are maintained as well as fix general wear and tear. I would have preferred that the hotel manager/ senior staff would do daily walkabouts and interact with their guests - as is often the case with luxury exclusive retreats; to build connection, get direct feedback and just have that extra touch with the guests. For the price point the Samaya charges and the very competitive rivals at every corner, it would be appreciated to have that extra personalised touch, especially for returning guests. I am happy to have a personal conversation with the management team should they require further information/ clarification.

nice spaces, nice villa

jetted tub didn’t work, we paid for a fully operational room, yet nothing was done for us to resolve this or compensate. For the cost of this place they should ensure everything is working. Nothing was done for us. Each morning they didn’t get my breakfast order right, ever. I stopped sending it back. the last day I clearly said well done eggs and I got runny eggs. the pork sausage was raw and cold in the centre. Again, nothing was done to recover this when I brought it to the manager’s attention. our last day they brought our laundry back and didn’t lock our Villa door, so it was left unlocked for anyone to access. Again, nothing done in terms of making it up to us. The deck around the pool was breaking, with the wooden boards lifting and nearly cut my foot on it. the pool was barely maintained. This calibre hotel is a lie, no quality control before renting out their villas. The “butler” service is a load of lies - there is no personal butler, it’s pretty much the front desk/concierge and the entire resort uses the same person. Overall really overpriced, their standards don’t meet the image that they’re painting for themselves. VERY disappointed with the Samaya Seminyak Bali.

Great stay at Samaya Seminyak to end our vacation in Bali. We stayed in a royal pavilion villa ideally located near the main pool and the beautiful beach! The japanese villa is very successful even if it could be updated. Huge bathroom of more than 80 m2: out of the ordinary. The private pool and jacuzzi are very pleasant as well as the small garden. In short, the charm is there despite a little obsolescence to be honest. Personalized services, butler, tea and pastries offered at the end of the day, free laundry, mini bar including alcohol also included, driver service to move around Seminyak on request, etc. A form of hotel business that is becoming increasingly rare, even in Bali! It should be kept in mind that the hotel is in phase of recovery of activity which explains sometimes a small lack of "panache" especially for breakfast. During our stay, there was no manager present but the employees were applied. We remain very close to perfection! The location of the hotel is finally and above all unbeatable, along the beach in the immediate vicinity of the trendy potato head or mexicola bars and incredible restaurants such as Sarong, for example. It was our second stay and we hope to return there! In short we recommend without hesitation. Thank you and bravo!
