Tall Timbers Ferienhaus ist geräumig und in sich geschlossene mit einer voll ausgestatteten Küche es vor kurzem renoviert worden. Mit fünf Schlafzimmern mit einem anderen Rumpus Zimmer in der Lage, ein 6. Schlafzimmer und in der Lage, bis zu 14 Personen schlafen, ist Tall Timbers nur eine kurze Strecke von der Halls Gap Stadtzentrum und alle großen Grampians Touristenattraktionen und Abenteuer Destinationen. Property generally rather tired
Bedrooms catered well for our group of 10 but insufficient lounge and dining seating inside in wet weather. Constant barking of neighbour’s dogs annoying.

Thank you so much for a great weekend away. I came across the property by accident and was pleasantly surprised to find a place to suit the whole family.
Communication with the host was easy, convenient and stress free.
House was lovely, warm, enough space for everyone and in a lovely location.
Everyone who stayed here said the place was lovely, a great find and would stay there again.

We enjoy this house. I think this is the fourth time we’ve stay here. So flexible with the number of bedrooms. Great fireplace and comfortable beds.

Great place for a larger group of friends
We had a wonderful stay at Tall Timbers with a group of 6 friends. We all had plenty of room and was an excellent home base to spend time with each other when not out around Halls Gap.

My review
Overall it is a nice place to stay. However, not all beds have electric blankets and only 1 reverse cycle air con in the kitchen dining area. In the lounge there is a wood heater with inadequate facilities to get the fire going especially during the autumn/winter period. During this period, the wood heater should be ready to light up and plenty of wood when people checkin. To me this is good customer relationship.

nice location but needs work
the house it self was well setup with ample bedrooms, dinning space and comfy couches, however TV reception and internet service is the worst i've ever experienced, the yard was overgrown and unusable for kids, the front yard was not much better with overgrown bushes making property access challenging, kitchen utensils could do with un upgrade as there were only 3 glasses available, also the addition of a verandah or shade over the back patio would be advantageous, and a new BBQ as the one there needs to go to the tip.

TV not working
The only let down was that the TV did not work. Janet the property manager was amazing in all aspects of her role. She put me in touch with the owner to get some help with the TV. Sadly the response from the owner was delayed. We had 5 children and a TV would have been great in the evenings

Family reminiscing weekend
This was a family weekend for mostly 60 somethings who spent their childhood holidaying in the area. Tall Timbers was perfect for the group. I wish we knew how well equipped the kitchen was and we wouldn’t have brought along so much “stuff”. There is a huge amount of pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Dishwasher was a blessing. The beds are comfy, we only needed cooling for a short time, ceiling fans only required after initial cool down with air con. Back deck and BBQ great.

A great house for families
This house was great for large groups. It was in a good location, within walking distance to the town centre. We loved all the wildlife especially the very friendly cockatoos! We loved the balcony. Perhaps a clean up of windowsills etc is needed. The television needs updating and a bigger fridge or second fridge would be beneficial. Wifi would be great too. Overall we had a great week there.

Stayed here with family. Enough rooms etc and beds were comfortable. Cockatoos, emus, kangaroos visited us which was fun for kids. Enough provisions were in the house. Overall good stay.

Tall timbers - back with nature
The property could do with a good clean and a bit of a freshen up, however it's a lovely large house which fits our extended family in.
It also has a great deck for viewing the native wildlife flying through and jumping passed.

Stunning!!!!!
We enjoyed our stay there, kookaburras were very friendly asking for breakfast every morning 😜�. Watched kangaroos hopping around our house. Kids loved it. There was enough room for our four families . Everything was in place neat and clean. We definitely recommend this house to others . Hope to go back again. Thank you Janet.

Family weekend
We had a lovely family weekend in this property however there were a few maintenance issues. Bedside lamps not working and no spare globes for them. The ceiling fan in the living was not working as the switch had broken off. The carpets weren’t clean. That didn’t look like they had been vacuumed especially around the edges and under tables. There was a lot of dust on lamps and some of the bedside tables had coffee cup rings on them. Not been wiped down. The bathrooms, toilets and kitchen were clean. There was no dishwasher powder so we couldn’t use that.
We did have a lovely weekend but I think the owners need to look at the cleaning and maintenance of the property.

We have stayed here three years in a row while participating in the Wonderland Run and fall more in love with this house each time. Clean, comfortable and spacious.

An older style home with room for plenty to sleep and play, couple of electrical issues (things not working) but generally a clean and tidy house,

Great spot for the extended family
The house was perfect for our three families - six bedrooms is hard to find in the Grampians. We loved the fire and the setting was great. The house was clean. We really enjoyed our time together.
The house is old and could do with some general overall maintenance. The provisions also need to be kept up to date as we discovered that there was no dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tablets, brush for the dishes or clothes pegs.

Good
The property was comfortable and beds were comfortable. Mostly clean however we found an earring on the floor that didn’t belong to any of us which suggests it wasn’t vaccummed. Had to bring our own toilet paper which would’ve been nice to know prior, however we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Could be a nice house if it had some maintenance & a good clean
Very, very disappointed in this house, it was just downright filthy from dust an inch thick everywhere to blood stained underlays on the bed, dirty band aids beside the bed. Let alone having to wash all the crockery/ cutlery before we could use it as it was dirty. Whoever is being paid to clean the place, certainly isn't cleaning it to rental standards. The balcony railings are held together with nail plates, boards broken & are downright dangerous. Even had a light fitting just hanging by the electrical cord from the ceiling, wouldn't have dared to try use it even if it had of had a light globe in it. If we had of been able to get another house on inspection of this place we would have definitely left and won't be coming back here that's for certain. Very, very disappointing as we love Halls Gap & have rented quite a few hoses previously and never ever come across a place like this. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone !!!

Great set-up for two families to share this house
Indoor and outdoor fires were a hit along with the spa bath. Kids fascinated by the stairs! 😃 Oven cooked a good roast too 👍

Great place for our extended family.Spa bath was a great success!
All bedrooms were well appointed comfortable. We certainly needed the ekectric blankets as the bedrooms got very cold at night. The kitchen had everything we needed and the coffee macine was much appreciated.

Terrific getaway
Our family of 10 (7adults & 3 children) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tall Timbers. The house had everything needed for a great weekend, even down to a few pantry items. Plenty of hot water, but a shower curtain/screen in the downstairs bathroom would stop the water going everywhere. It was disappointing that there was no wood supplied as stated, as it was quite cold at night and the split system struggled. A little outside maintenance on the house and in the garden wouldn't hurt either. Happy with how clean throughout, although the vacuum cleaner could do with a decent work out in the bedrooms. Overall, we would definitely stay at Tall Timbers again.

This very reasonably priced house was great for our group of friends. Plenty of room for 9 of us and we were so lucky with the weather. Took coats and woolly hats, but should have taken T-shirts and shorts! Lovely and quiet and enjoyed the visiting wild-life - Parrots, Cockies, a Possum and a Kangaroo.

Good sized place for a large family, nice quiet location with fantastic wildlife surrounding you. Maintenance is required around the house, i.e. blown light globes, no shower curtains and general cleanliness.

Tall Timbers was an excellent property, well presented and very clean. The bedrooms were all much larger then we anticipated and in a convenient location.

We stayed for the long weekend with a group of friends and it was well worth it. 5 days that were full of all The Grampians had to offer. We crammed in as much as we could but there was still plenty left that's on the to do list. The house is in a great location and had everything we needed. BBQs in the evening watching the wildlife was a highlight.

Our Melbourne- Adelaide family enjoyed the comfortable, spacious and well equipped house which felt like home at the end of the week. Dinner around a bonfire, variety of visiting wildlife, bush land views, spa were all highlights. Easy access to wonderful walks.

We had 4 day family holiday with 7 Adults and 3 Grand kids. Excellent facilities, kitchen cupboards were well stocked with every thinkable thing you would want in large quantities , hot water did not run out. very warm with fire and split system. Board games were great. TV reception a little disappointing. Great set up for a large group with 6 bedrooms, and spa. their are not many 6 bedroom properties available. great time had by all. The 6 of us came for a birthday weekend away from the city. It is well-placed, just a short drive to the local shops and restaurant as well as to the highlights (McKenzie Falls, The Pinnacle, Reeds Lookout, The Balconies). The house itself was well-furnished, warm with good hot water supply for 6 consecutive showers (6 of us)! A great place to come home to after all the exhausting hiking we did. Thank you for a lovely stay.
