Amazing hospitality. My room was well appointed and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, and the staff were great. Lucy gave great directions for the park as well, and I had an amazing and easy hike!

Amazing location , perfect for exploring the National park, Lucy our wonderful host explained before we arrived to buy tickets in advance and go in the morning… through a 3rd gate a short walk away, this meant we avoided the crowds. She couldn’t have been more helpful! All the staff/ family were great , the food was fabulous and we felt like family when we left! I would highly recommend this wonderful place.

House is ideally placed for sightseeing Plitvica lakes and enjoying the scenery. We came there in the begining of october, the colors of nature were beautiful. Upon arriving host showed us around the houseand explained everytning needed to know about Plitvice natural park. House is family friendly (we were 4 families), and there is a playgoround by the house. It is 15 minutes walk from the house to the Great waterfall, and there are nice ponds and waterfalls seen from property. Dinner was excellent preprared by the host and it is convenient as you do not have to drive somewhere else (and for puting children to bed). Breakfast was also very good, with a lot of choises, and the cook can also prepare eggs and bacon. All in all a very nice experience and we were very safisfied. I would come here again.

We loved everything

Great location to walk into the park at entrance #3. They offer meal service which is excellent and worth paying for as owner is a wonderful chef. Owners a a lovely couple that truly care about customer service. We would gladly stay there again!

Our stay was exceptional and Ante was the perfect host! He is very welcoming, helpful, kind, and gracious. The room was wonderful and location, close to P3 is ideal. I loved that we could walk out the door and be at the park entrance in 10 minutes. I stayed for 2 nights and he prepared a wonderful dinner each night. In the morning, there is a very nice buffet and he has your packed lunch ready, so that you can enjoy your lunch in the park. I really can't say enough good things about Ante and his property!

Nothing, only that we had to leave! I stayed two nights and I would have liked to have stayed longer just because our stay was so enjoyable.

The hotel and the rooms are absolutely lovely and perfectly clean. The hotel is very well located in the middle of the nature and near the P3 entrance for easy and less crowded access to the Plitivice Park. The food is great. The hosts are particularly kind, helpful and professional.

The bed are a bit firm for my taste. The evening menu is not cheap but the quality is very good.

Plitvica River House is a gem of an Inn that is a 3 minute drive from the little known Entrance 3 to Plitvice Lakes National Park. Lucy, who owns the Inn with her husband, is just delightful. She is very gracious and knowledgeable. She will go above and beyond to make your visit a good one. The Inn is cozy. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The shower had lots of hot water and good water pressure. The room was very clean. Parking is easy. We ate all of our meals at the Inn. The food at both breakfast and dinner was delicious. We opted for Lucy’s boxed lunch. I knew from a prior visit to the park that the food there is pricey and not very good. Lucy showed us how to structure our visit to the park to make it an easy walk down hill and to avoid most of the tour groups. We highly recommend Plitvica River House.

The hosts are lovely and very helpful, the location is perfect to discover the Plitvice parks, the food is great and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. I really enjoyed my stay there!

Ante is the absolute best host we encountered in all Croatia.

The location! The dinner! The service! The communication! Literally everything was impeccable and just outrageously perfect. I can't begin to describe the quiet peace we found at the River House, a quivering bubble of contentment and delight. I don't think I've stayed anywhere that was overall a better experience than was offered by the Sarlija's family, they clearly have a passion for what they do and are extraordinarily good at it too! It's an absolute perfect place to stay while exploring Plitvice, and, I daresay a perfect place to laze about and quietly contemplate life too, I think staying here made me a better person.

Thanks to the hosts for this amazing personalized experience in your house. We felt welcomed from the first minute to the last one. Tasteful breakfast, very confortable accommodation and beautifully decorated. Ante gave us very useful tips for our walk in the National park. We appreciated a lot his attention and dedication to make our stay perfect.

2 minor issues: The sandwich in the lunchbox was quite small (note that if you buy food in the park you may have to wait a long time before being served, so we were happy to have the lunchbox) Unfortunately a baby cried early in the morning so it altered the end of our night, but it can happen anywhere and the hosts even apologized for that

Great location, picturesque and managed by the beautiful and amazing Sarlija family !! They were exceptionally attentive to every guest’s needs. The park visit was amazing due to their brilliant advice on the itinerary.

While the rooms and property are quite lovely, in a very peaceful setting, the standout feature of this property is the hosts. Lucy and Anto welcome you into their home with loving arms and their passion for providing a 5-star experience comes through in every interaction. They made our stay very special, from ensuring our every comfort, providing a fantastic breakfast spread with homemade jams and cakes by Lucy and the best-tasting omelettes, Anto’s delicious home-cooked dinners and back door tips on getting the most out of your park experience. It felt like we were staying with old friends. The property was immaculate and the beds very comfortable. Highly recommend!

The hosts were incredible. Lucy (sp?) greeted us when we got there with enthusiasm, welcoming us in as if we were friends. She saw us to our rooms, gave us recommendations for an evening walk, and prepared a simple and delicious lunch for us. The rooms were fantastic. Comfortable, spacious, with a household feel while still having modern amenities. The location is within walking distance of the P3 entrance to the park, which had no line at all. This was an incredible stay at an incredible location. We wanted to stay longer!

The owner couple Lucy and Ante were incredibly professional hosts. They are friendly, calm, always smiling and love so much what they do. They take pride in their jobs. They made us feel we were very welcomed and treated very well. There were also 2 adorable hosts(their children) who are so nice, friendly and always smiling. Breakfart and dinner were fresh and awesome! Room was a good size, comfy, and clean. And also smells really good! Location is perfect for exploring Plitvica NP. Entrance 3 is 10-15minutes walk. If we are lucky enough to visit this area, we'll stay here again! Highly recommend!!

Ante was a fabulous host. Everything was clean and comfortable and the perfect place to start a day at Plitvice Lakes. My husband and I stayed with our 17-month old son, and it was easy and convenient to stay with a child as well. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit Plitvice Lakes!

Our one night stay was perfectly pleasant. we arrived after 21:00 and hosts were waiting for us and suggested us a delicious dinner in such a late time. All the hotel is extremely clean, nice design, convenient beds, all the facilities in the bathroom. A separate thanks to the hosts, an extremely hospitable spouse. it was a pleasure to get acquainted and communicate with them. Definitely customer service they provide is on the highest possible level.

This may have been most favorite place I’ve stayed at and it certainly was during my 2.5 week trip through Croatia and Slovenia. Lucy was in constant communication with me prior to the trip and made me feel like part of her family during my stay. Ante is an amazing chef and I throughly enjoyed both the breakfasts and dinners they served as well as the atmosphere of the dining area. A must stay in Plitvice.

The owners are exceptional. Both are outgoing, super friendly, extremely customer oriented. As the temperature that they had dropped unexpectedly and we did not have clothes to match, the owner borrowed my wife some of her own clothes. The location is superb, with a back door entrance to Plitvice lake, so as to not have to wait in lines. All in all we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend the place.

The owners provide both breakfast and dinner, which is great and very well done. But with a family of four the price is rather steep, paying EUR 700 for two nights, room and meals combined. That's normally the price for an all-inclusive resort. It was the only thing we found a bit off-balance.

River Haus is a very nice place. The room was clean and nice. Lucy and Ante are very likeable, helpful and friendly. Also Ante is a great cook like maestro. We feel like a home with very good friends. Thanks a lot for all! For us was fantastic stay. Kind regards Doris and Petko
