We had a fabulous stay at Villa Irene. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, the location was great, less than a 10 minute drive from Plitvice, and the food was delicious. Irene, one of the owners, cooked us a wonderful 3 course meal for dinner, and the breakfast was very good as well. Both Irene and Damir were so kind and welcoming and treated us like family. They made our stay so enjoyable and we would love to come back some day in the future!

The hosts were amazing and so helpful. We had dinner one night and the food was fabulous. They also packed our leftovers for us for the next day. We didn't have breakfast there, but for $20 Euros, I'm sure it would have been delicious.

This was a vacation to remember! We stayed here for 7 days and we enjoyed every second of it. Irena and Damir, you are heartwarming people who will do anything to pamper and care for the guests. We also like to mention Noah, the clever, well-behaved and friendly 10-year-old son. Thanks to the tips of Damir we were also able to explore some "hidden" gems of the region. His persistent humor always makes your day. The ravishing Irena, a true kitchen princess who lets you enjoy gastronomically and offers it with a lot of love. These people are, as it were, the perfect ambassadors of beautiful Croatia. Respect!! We WILL come back... Tsjunga-lunga! :-) Piet & Marleen

The room is very spacious and clean, we had the terrace just in front, super view.

The hosts are nice but very business. We paid a parisien price for the dinner and breakfast.

Food was more expensive than very good restaurants in the rest of Croatia. The food was simple, but wholesome home cooking. Perhaps a bit overpriced.

dinner and breakfast slightly expensive. Not clear to us that the room was all in one, is that what studio means? our party was Mum & Dad, son and girlfriend so all in one room wasn’t appropriate so had to take another room which was a negotiated lower rate, which was offered by the host.

The villa is equipped with everything, it is very clean and it is on 5 minutes drive from Entrance 1 of Plitvice lakes. Irene is very helpful and she is preparing tasty dishes with local products. She and her husband are very keen and willing to help with everything that you may need. Ask them for the best Plitvice track and the hidden terrace ;) Absolutely perfect holiday place!

Location was excellent, about a 10 drive to the lakes. Lovely views and peaceful location. The Jacuzzi was a nice touch. The lodge itself was lovely, had both private seating area and private dining area outside where we had breakfast each morning. There weren’t many restaurants nearby so we opted for dinner at the lodge- Irene is an excellent cook and throughly indulged in her 3 course meals. I would highly recommend this lodge.

Fabulous accommodation, the best during our five weeks of travel!! Villa Irene is definitely the place to stay when visiting Plitvice Lakes. We had very large, quiet, studio apartment, beautifully fitted with ultra comfortable attractive furniture and a well equipped kitchen plus a large private outdoor seating area overlooking the lawn and garden. We were warmly welcomed by our genial hosts who are justly proud of their apartments, provided lots of local information, and did everything they could to ensure we had a wonderful stay with them. Breakfast was made to our choice, and attractively delivered, piping hot in a large wicker basket to our room so we could eat at leisure at our own dining table. A home made evening meal can be arranged in advance - tasty local dishes and excellent wine. Villa Irene is about 5 minutes drive from Entrance 1 of Plitvice Lakes and a wonderful place to return to after visit the Lakes for a day.

All we can say is "Wow!" We travel extensively, and Irene's place exceeded all of our expectations. Irene greeted us and was a fabulous hostess. The villas are spacous, clean and comfortable. Definitely plan to eat at the little restaurant Irene runs onsite. The food is excellent. We ate dinner and breakfast. The location is minutes from the entrance to the Plitvice National Park. We would come back here in a heartbeat.

Located in a peaceful area near the Plitvice National Park. It was a large room, neat and very well equipped. The hosts were very kind, and they made an incredible dinner meal.

Amazing host and lovely location near Plitvice national park. Irene and the crew are amazing and make you feel at home during your stay. We only stayed one night, but I recommend at least two nights to full enjoy the property and the surrounding national park.

Damir & Irene were there waving and ready for a hug as we arrived. They're so lovely!!! The room was big and comfortable. The outside dining space is fantastic with fur vests to wear for the chilly nights. The food is spectacular! Seriously, it's so good. Bikes are available to use when you want. Ive already recommended to 2 of my friends and 1 of them is now staying with her family next week.

Simply the best hosts we’ve ever met. The location of the B&B is also perfect. The B&B is located in a very calm area with a great view, yet close to the plitvice national park.
