The location is excellent, with fantastic views. There are restaurants within walking distance and Argostoli is only about ten minutes drive away. The local village has a wonderful bakery and there are three supermarkets within a few kilometres. The bedrooms are good as are the en-suite bathrooms (with caveats, see dislikes). Water pressure is great, air-con works everywhere. The pool is good, not very big but perfectly adequate. Angela arranged transfers and car hire in advance, met us at the villa and the hire car was delivered straight away.

The spa pool was not working, we weren't told about this in advance and when I asked how to use it was simply told it wasn't operational. It wasn't fixed whilst we were there. It should not be stated as a feature if it's not working, at the very least let guests know before they book/travel and drop the price. The shower for the middle room does not have a wall fixture to hold it up so has to be held by hand. I asked for it to be fixed, was told it would be, it never was. The main bedroom seemed to act as a store room as well; an unused a/v cabinet, ironing board, large framed picture, oil based heater all dumped in the corner. The kitchen is not well equipped. There are three coffee makers but no bread knife (or any large knife). There are three juicers, two of which are electric, but there is no chopping board. There is a plethora of plates, cups etc (all glass) but little or no ovenware or serving dishes. Other than the fridge/freezer, there is nowhere to store food securely and ants get into everything. Whilst there, I purchased a bread knife, sharp chopping knife and two boxes to keep bread and cereal in. i have left these for use by future guests. Yes, I could have asked the host but it was quicker to do it myself, they might argue I should have brought this to their attention, I would counter that they should equip the villa better and check inventory before each new stay. There is one frying pan and one large stove top pan. The oven is functional, though old and all labels have been worn off so finding the setting required is tricky. Maybe you are expected to eat out every day; with the price paid for the villa, that wasn't an option, but even preparing breakfast was difficult without the basics. Included in the price is daily cleaning - this would have been too intrusive but if I paid for it, why did the cleaner only come every 3 or so days.

Angela was very helpful. It is a nice rustic villa. The morning view from the balcony is lovely. Angela also helped with a late checkout which was great.

The villa we were in did not have a pool. We thought we were in a villa with a pool. Even this Booking.com review asks me below to rate the pool!!! There was no pool.

The pool is amazing. The property is private and secluded, perfect for 3 people. Very nice manager - communicative and helpful. Great location.

Lovely and beautifully situated villa, away from all the tourists. If you are looking for something a bit different and still very central to explore the Island this is your place. Great atmosphere and fantastic outdoors. Very quiet, surrounded by trees and a lovely pool. Don't forget to hike to the summit of the highest mountains and to take the ferry to Luxouri and explore the beaches on the West Coast.

Kitchen equipment should be better, but Angela and Katia were extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. Bathrooms could have done with a little update. But again, if you are looking for something with character this is your place. The pictures on booking.com combine 2 villas, which is a bit confusing. We were not disappointed at all, but it might be advisable to ask beforehand exactly which villa is what.
