Golf cart rental made trips to the beach and grabbing breakfast super convenient. Definitely recommend!

Super easy to ask questions and get timely responses! Property as described! We paid extra for the golf cart, which was super fun to take to the beach. We also paid extra for the pool and spa to be heated and that was a massive plus! The pool was perfectly warm that we could all swim comfortably in late December, and the spa was excellent!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Destin! This home was lovely and in a beautiful neighborhood. The heated pool and hot tub were the highlights! The golf cart was perfect for the short trip to the beautiful white-sand beach! Jan was easily accessible and quite helpful! We would definitely recommend!

Excellent property in the middle of Destin with golf cart for the beach travel and a magnificent homeowner that was very thorough and helpful.

Ocean Retreat Villa was the perfect location for our family’s beach vacation. The lovely home provided space and a relaxation vibe for our days in Destin. There was plenty of space for our group of 7 grandchildren and 3 adult couples: 2 comfortable living areas, 4 well-appointed bedrooms and great seating options for meals. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, cooking pans, and place settings for meals. There is mealtime seating in the dining room, at a high-top table and a large eat-at island in the kitchen. The screened in lanai is oversized and furnished with comfortable options for the group members to gather. The pool and hot tub area was a daytime and evening delight for all! Club Destiny’s pool and gym were also enjoyed. Our host, Jan T., provided great communication throughout the VRBO renting experience making for an awesome time.

Property was clean and exactly as pictured in listing. We had a great weeklong June 2022 stay. Having the backyard pool was PERFECT for a hot week and not having to go to the beach non stop to cool off! Rent the golf cart as it makes it so so easy & fun to get to the beach in minutes, tour around the area and run to the store & ice cream shops. Many places nearby the house and pretty easy to get to - travel nearby early if you are in a rush as traffic is very very busy in late morning and afternoons. We had 9 adults and one 1 year old in our party and the house for perfect for us. We could swim and relax while the 1 year old napped. Only suggestion I would have is to supply more dishwasher tabs and garbage bags in the house. We had an amazing week!

Our time at this luxury home with restful and fun. Impressed by the super clean space! Pool and hot tub in the backyard were awesome. Lovely screened porch area to hangout. We were glad we heated the pool for our weekend at end of March! Had to pay extra for that and golf cart usage. Master bedroom is great and massive. We had to draw straws to see who would get it. Would be nice if all rooms had TV in case other adults want tv in rooms. Bathrooms that go with other bedrooms were kinda small for our group too. (Not much storage space for shared baths.) Dryer had trouble drying but I believe that’s getting fixed. Kitchen was fine for plates/silverware/bowls/cups but if you do much group cooking you may have trouble with pots/pans and food storage. We cook a lot so we’re used to stocked kitchens at home. I should stop expecting rental homes to have a stocked kitchen for the kind of cooking we do. May want to pack your own storage containers and a big pot for crowds. It was great to have our bikes for the neighborhood. We felt safe in the area. Easy ride to beach. Quick ride to community area but only 8 wrist bands for community area -you’ll have to buy more if you want your group to be able to enter community area together. We enjoyed pickle-ball at the community courts. Well-maintained home and community center. Easy/direct communication with home owner. Provided us with good info about the area and what to expect. Close to anything you’d need, including awesome sunsets/sunrises.

The house is beautiful but it is the salt water pool that makes the stay amazing. Not being directly on the beach was not a problem because it is an easy golf cart ride and actually made for a more private experience. Can’t wait to come back.

The house and private pool were exactly what we were seeking for a short New Year’s Eve stay. Jan was in contact with us from start to finish and was very polite and accommodating. The house and neighborhood was just as described- perfection. I have no complaints or negative comments. It was sincerely one of the most carefree get-always we’ve had. We hope to visit again soon. Had a slight problem with the pool adjustments that cost us a few non heated pool days but we got it fixed day 3. It's a little further to the beach then I imagined. Would be a huge workout carrying coolers and chairs walking to the beach. So the golf cart is a MUST. FUN TRIP [

This is a great house for multiple families! Great layout. We loved the screened in porch and pool/hot tub. The golf cart was a plus! Super convenient going to and from the beach and even in the neighborhood! The kids loved it! The neighborhood pool, playground, and gym are all within walking distance too. The beach/pool accessories at the house were nice to have! Jan was easy to communicate with. I’d highly recommend this home and neighborhood!

Great place to stay and we all had a wonderful time! The salt water pool and hot tub were amazing.... loved the non chlorine option. The house was spacious and comfortable. Quick golf cart ride to the beach . If you love a long walk it would be a lovely walk to the beach as well. We booked a Lyft to and from the VPS airport... about a 40 minute drive. Beautiful neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again. Pretty much everything we needed was provided. Don’t miss out on renting the golf cart! The owner was always just a text away to answer any questions.

This house was perfect for our recent trip to Destin. We were there from June 26 - July 3, 2021. Jan was a wonderful hostess and kept us informed about everything we needed to know leading up to the vacation stay. A few days before check-in, she even scheduled a call with me to review the details so everything went smoothly. Our family had 6 adults and 2 children (ages 2 & 4) staying in the house. There was so much room! The home is all one level, which was great with kids. It has a HUGE kitchen island that we congregated at often. It has all of the dishes, utensils, cups, glasses, bowls, etc. that you need to cook full meals. We used the plastic ones for most meals. We cooked breakfast at the house every day so we didn't have to rush out to a restaurant. We also cooked some lunches and dinners there to avoid the restaurant crowds. If you are going to eat out, I would recommend going early to mid afternoon. The waits are much less during that time. If you go out at dinner time, expect the wait to be several hours at the good restaurants. The house had a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer. It worked perfectly for the laundry we washed during the week. Now....THE POOL....this was the best part of our whole stay. This pool is private, clean, great for little ones and adults. It has an adjoining hot tub. One thing we really liked was that the door handles on the screened doors to the pool were installed higher on the door, so the kids couldn't get out to the pool by themselves. We made great memories with the grandkids playing in the pool for hours. We rented the golf cart from Jan for the week. It was fun to ride around at night when it cooled off some. I would definitely recommend adding this to the rental. It is a brand new, 6 seater and drives great. Super convenient. Parking: We traveled from Tennessee and had 3 vehicles with us. We parked one in the garage (next to the golf cart), then a full size, crew cab pickup truck in the driveway next to a full size mini van. They fit fine in the driveway side by side, so parking isn't an issue. This house was amazing which allowed us to have a fantastic vacation! We had 3 families with a total of 11 people and this was the perfect house for us! The house was gorgeous and the pool made it even better! The golf cart is a must and helped so much with getting to the beach and finding parking at the beach.

We loved this house! There are 5 bedrooms so we had plenty of room for our family. The pool is amazing & the property is close to the beach & restaurants. So many things were supplied with the house & communication was great! We hope to come back soon!

Also, if you don't wash the pool towels prior to leaving you'll have another fee. Overall I give this house 4 out 5 due to the extra $$ for cleaning and doing laundry for the cleaning company.

Very enjoyable week in Destin. The property is centrally located in a very nice neighborhood. There are plenty of shopping options within a few minutes drive. The house was more than ample for our party of 12. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and pots/pans and the plastic dinnerware for the pool area was very helpful and eliminated the need for paper plates. The appliances are modern and there is plenty of space to spread out inside the house. Our favorite part of the house was the outside seating and pool area. The screened in area offered plenty of sitting space and the pool and hot tub were well used. I would highly recommend taking advantage of the heated pool option in the cooler months. The golf cart was also great for getting around to the beach. Jan was extremely helpful prior to our arrival answering questions and was available to answer any questions we had during the stay. It is really a great place for a larger family and would highly recommend.

We had the best time at Jan's place. We went for a week, just the two of us, for our mini-moon. She has everything you need at the house, the spa is amazing, and we really enjoyed everything her home had to offer. There are several grocery stores near by and the beach is just a short distance away. The home was neat and nicely kept. Jan was very easy to reach when we needed her, kind and helpful. Thanks for a great stay!

Great house! Very spacious and comfortable. We had a 2 year old with us so liked that it was single story. Pool and hot tub were a plus! Screened in porch was also a plus. Nice that there were boogie boards and sand toys available. Definitely recommend getting the Golf cart. Beach and restaurants are a short golf cart ride away. Jan was extremely easy to work with. When the kids flights got cancelled due to hurricane Sally we were able to adjust our stay so we could enjoy the whole week. Would definitely recommend staying at this beautiful home.

The property is even more beautiful in person than the pics. The property was very clean and well kept. Jan was very prompt in responding to any questions. It was truly a pleasure to stay at this property with my family for a getaway. It's close to the beach, restaurants and grocery stores, etc. Will definitely be back!!!

We love going to Destin for our summer vacation. This was an awesome property in the beautiful Destiny East community. We loved the proximity to the beach. The house offered plenty of space for our group of 8. Jan was very helpful and communicative throughout the entire booking process as well as during our stay. The entire group LOVED the new pool! The pool lights and fountains were a hit with the kids. We would definitely stay there again.

The brand new pool and hot tub in this home was fabulous! Coming to Florida on the heels of Covid...this private home kept my family safe as we didn't have to share space in elevators or in the pool area making our vacation worry free. This home comes with a golf cart which made it easy to get to the beach. Also, the home is in a gated community and made us feel quite safe for walking. This home is quite large and very roomy for our 12 person family. I would highly recommend this beautiful home for your stay while in Destin!
