Food was lovely, room was gorgeous, staff were great. To be honest, thought it was overall a really lovely place and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Loved the decor of the room
Having to leave!

Staff was good
Bed was really comfortable
Deco great
Had to wait far too long before someone came to assist at the reception when booking in or out. One of the people at the restaurant had to call the staff member,it seemed he was manning the bar at the same time.
The shower mixer tap did not function properly. Water was either too hot or too cold.
There was no milk in the rooms for tea
Dust everywhere, including the bedside table side lamp and the desk, the room itself was in a bit of a state of repair

spacious room, comfy (if soft) bed, friendly staff, good breakfast
the room was not one of the ones on the Booking.com website. It was very dated and cold.
2 single plug sockets in the whole room. Bath panel loose and cracked, bathroom ceiling and sealant moldy, I brushed my teeth and shut the door, although at least it was warm.
I'm not sure if this hotel is mid refurbishment but I wouldn't have paid what I did for one of their older rooms.

I was travelling alone and felt welcome and safe. I was lucky enough to be given a room upgrade - what a treat.

The bathroom exceeded my expectations

The bar was cozy with a menu to suit everyone. Staff were at all times pleasant, friendly and helpful. Breakfast served in a lovely room with views over the garden. This is a boutique, slightly old-fashioned hotel where they do the most to make you comfortable. You can walk to the centre of Coventry along a tree-lined road from the hotel, which was convenient for us. It is easy to get a taxi from the main driveway, and it is a quick trip to the railway station. If you are going to Coventry, the cathedral is worth a visit and you can walk there from this hotel. I would also say it is ideal for receptions: the catering was excellent and the service efficient.
There was nothing not to like.

It was clean
Bed was awful. Full of springs that they tried to cover with a mattress topper bur it was like sleeping on a bed of rocks
Pillows were horrible. The bed was stupidly big for the room and had a perteuding wooden base which I kept nanging my shins on. Outdated decor and furniture. Thin white curtains so from 4am it wad bright in the room. Loate of banging all night.
Gave up trying to sleep by half seven and went home.

Extremely pleasant and helpful staff
Conservatory in need of a little TLC

Travelling through and suited our needs - good location. Lots of parking available. Staff were friendly on check in. Room was a decent size.
The room wasn't really as expected from photos online. Extremely old and dated. Could see other rooms were newly refurbished....and I don't think there was any difference in price. Not sure the old rooms are worth the price.

The room was very comfortable with everything I needed. I was really overwhelmed by the dinner I had in the restaurant. The food was extremely delicious. The staff was very friendly.
I would definitely and with no doubt recommend this hotel and if I come back to Coventry I know where to stay!!!
Nothing to complain about!

Breakfast very good just a bit slow for the hot food. Great selection of breakfast foods plus Gluten free bread as well
Could have had glasses and a second chair in the room

The staff where rude so I didn't stay and they put me down as a no show

This is our third time staying at the Jacobean and it's been exceptional every time! The location is perfect for the NEC, and it is one of the most dog friendly places we have ever stayed in. The room and bathroom was large and comfortable - we stayed in a triple room and it was more than perfect for three of us and a large dog. The food and drinks as always were excellent, and this time we had the breakfast which was fantastic. The staff as always were very helpful and accommodating.
Just a couple of minor niggles -
The evening menu wasn't reflective of the food on offer, which I wouldn't have minded but the menu was home-printed on A4 paper, so it wouldn't have taken long to print off some more current ones.
The public bathroom in the bar needs a freshen up with paint, as there's unfortunate staining on the wall.

Excellent position, good value for money, comfortable and warm. Hairdryer, heater, iron all good.
Decoration a little bit tired but expected at this price

Staff were very friendly. Room was very clean and I was surprised to find a bath in the room. Bed very comfy. Great choice for breakfast and very well cooked. Check out is 11 o’clock
Reception area not very inviting, room very cold upon arrival. Window was broken with a gaping hole down the side I had to put a towel in during the night because of the cold. No bedside cabinets so had to put my glasses on the floor. Cabinet in the room appears to originally had draws. But none were present. TV was very slow changing channels. The heating had been turned on when we got back from tea so was warm.

The friendliest most relaxing hotel I've ever stayed at. Rooms comfortable with a fantastic relaxing atmosphere.
Breakfast was very good and staff exceptional
3.6
Good breakfast. Good choices. Well cooked.
Towels and bedding in the room was very clean.
Poor parking, lots of pot holes.
Very poor room. Wallpaper peeling off, old carpet plus damage to paintwork. Mold on bathroom walls and ceiling. Cracked tiles in bathroom. Damaged bathroom door (showed photos to receptionist). Too hot in the room (window was tethered by a security wire) and the water temperature in the bathroom was far too high (the owners must be wasting a fortune). TV far too small plus lack of electrical sockets in room. All in all the room requires lots of TLC and a total update.

room was very comfortable

Decor of the room was beautiful. The property was restful but busy enough. The on site bar was really handy and breakfast was delicious
The bed was very soft- not a huge negative but something to know.

Great location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms.
No in room fridge - not the end of the world but we like to keep our water and snacks cold. The rooms above the bar can be very noisy at weekends, weeks nights are quieter.
