The hotel is located outside of the city center, 10-15min walking distance. The rooms are in the peaceful yard overlooking the lake and river crossing by where you could chill out and spot some animals. Staff is extremely helpful and arranged for us a few amazing activities for the good price or free of charge!

Great location, just minutes outside Fortuna, supermarket around the corner. Hosts are amazing, good breakfast and use of a 25 meter swimming pool!

La Fortuna was an amazing place the personnel was very friendly very nice atmosphere in and around the room

breakfast was very basic and minimal reception was only open until 6/7pm I had a huge ant in the bathroom

Amazingly helpful staff! They honestly made our stay so comfortable and memorable. They booked many tours and transport for us, even at short notice, and made sure we got great prices. They gave us good restaurant recommendations too! The rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast was good - go for the traditional! Wifi was good. Location was 10 minute walk to town and only 5 minutes to a large Pali supermarket. The grounds of the property are really nice with a river flowing next to it, and a big pond in the middle. There are also facilities including a gym and swimming you can use for a fee. We would definitley St'sy here again.

Sonia , marineli, blaquita and Anna were so nice and welcoming .the room was clean and had A/C. Easy walk to town and lots of birds. I recommend this hotel for foreigners staying in la fortuna. Thank you again!!!!!

The pool was “okay” But we didn’t need it:)

The staff, the staff, the staff! What a wonderful welcome to Arenal and to Costa Rica! Anna, Pablo, Marianetta and their family run the most wonderful little hotel in the most fantastic setting. Our stay began with Pablo picking us up from the airport and giving us a tour and meal-stop road trip to La Fortuna, spotting toucans and waterfalls. The hotel consists of six rooms facing out upon a small lake, a lovely open-sided breakfast and coffee room, and the most incredible 25m swimming pool. We swim for fitness and for family fun and it was brilliant being able to still get our lengths in whilst on holiday. We even enjoyed a game of water polo on Pablo’s birthday! We saw leaf cutter ants, giant iguanas, toucans and macaws whilst we were here, not to mention the huge black grasshoppers. Amazing. Anna, in reception, was able to book us onto whatever activity we wished, and helped us massively when we wanted to visit places independently (she found us Diego, a really nice private driver) and cheaply (ask her about Las Thermalitas!) Hotel Colores is exactly the kind of hotel we hoped to stay in whilst in Costa Rica - friendly, helpful and generous people whose business deserves the greatest of success. Thank you - Pura Vida.

Nothing really. It was fifteen minutes walk from the town centre, but only five from a supermarket.

The power outlet too lose to hold the plug, it difficult to charge the phone.

The staff is very courteous, they can book you in various tours and I can see they are really trying to accommodate the customer need always with a smile, but their facility is unfinished. Breakfast is a nice a plus.

The two double beds room is too tiny, once you opened the luggages you have almost no room to walk. The property is located next to a pond and a river, the humidity in July is pretty much at 100%. Thus I would expect more places to hang wet raincoats and clothes with plenty of hangers. Drying anything is impossible and there is not even an hair dryer. On top of that the pond attracts lots of mosquitoes, yet the windows don't have any net, making it impossible to keep them open. A reading light will be appreciated to read a book without disturbing who sleeps. Fridge is also missing, possibly due to the lack of physical space. I see they spent money for the facility, but it does seem nobody really lived in there to notice these basic needs. Please do, you'll find these things very annoying.

Location was great, close to a small stream, comfy rooms and staff was friendly and helpful.

The walls are so thin that it sounded like the neighbours were in our room and them showering and arguing could clearly be heard

Great swimming pool! To have a swim there in the morning was so wonderful. Very helpful staff (I booked last moment) and breakfast.

Nice room and friendly staff. Got some recomendations on restaurants and activities and everything was spot on. Breakfast was also really good.

Shower pressure wasn't working because of the rain. They need to figure out a way to make sure to fix that for future guests.

Our stay was a lot of fun. The staff is super friendly, the whole facility was clean and the rooms were nice. As 2 friends travelling together, we loved the two separate double beds in the room. The breakfast was delicious and the swimming pool was a very nice extra.

Most of the time, the WiFi wasn’t really working. But that’s just a minor inconvenience.

Superb breakfast and free access to the 25 m pool. Very calm place to start tours around La Fortuna.
